When you walk into a place and the entire counter is stacked with to-go orders and there's barely an open table in the joint.....it gives the impression that they've got something going on. We grabbed one of the two available tables and the waitress quickly dropped off menus. The restaurant has a large open space in front of the counter and the pizza prep and pizza oven are right there to watch. By the looks of things the owner was running the oven - he didn't stop and when he wasn't checking pies he was talking with customers or shooting across the room to clear a table. We opted for the medium pizza and 10 wing special....added anchovies to the pizza (just because). Pizza was awesome, waitress served our first slices and the wings ordered medium we're well sauced and large. Nice place - can obviously tell now why they're so busy. read more

This pizza is always so good! The sauce isn't too sweet and has the perfect amount of cheese. I am always impressed with this pizza. The total was about 17 dollars after taxes. Every one here is so polite and considerate. I have never ate in here I don't know why I'm just always on the run. The do have pastas and other things on the menu. This place is a disgrace. Customer beware I have absolutely had it with the disrespect that this place has been throwing around for years, and today was my final straw with them & there antics. I just wanted a good slice. I didn't eat all day. They sold me the opposite, cold raw tastelesss slice that collapsed when I went to take my first bite. I was just going to throw it away but I said why. I'm hungry and it's a precedented reason to ask for a replacement. NOPE not to them. But the lip they throw, this place is grotesque in all senses of the word. Because they're too cheap to use the proper amount of product being dough sauce cheese. Like seriously. Over Pennie's they will try to save even at your expense knowing that you're unhappy they don't give a **** lowering customer satisfaction and then attempt to make you the villain! LOLLLLLLL! nope. When they serve horrible quality food to someone who has been supporting them for years, just saying hey, the slice collapsed when I picked it up to take a bite can you make me something else I get attitude?!Lol. NOPE. meaning it's being made wrong, yet they hassle you, you really question how a place like this does any business! Or is even still open. I'm disgusted. Last time I ever come to this disgrace of a "business"; and I'd suggest you stay away if you want good pizza and good food, customer service and to feel welcome and appreciated. I don't think anyone wants to be dealing with the negative phonies who run and own this place who DO not respect the loyal clients who put their hard earned money on the table for the family who owns it, just because you don't spend large sums of money. Conclusion-they're money hungry and if you're not a client who spends a lot of money here they treat you as a sub-human. Food is delicious. Haven't ever got a bad meal here. Service is always excellent. Friendly and fast. The prices are fair. It's more expensive than gas station pizza, but you get what you pay for. Dining ambiance could be a bit better, but for small space, it's as good as you can get. The takeout people people can be a little distracting. Stopped in for lunch after an away football game. I've gotta say that this was a real surprise! The menu on Yelp led me to believe that this was just a pizza place. Nope! I added a photo of the menu. They started us off with a basket of fresh garlic rolls. Soft and warm with buttery garlic! I got the Eggplant Rolletini and my daughter got the Vodka Riggies. First off, their sauce is amazing! The Eggplant had a ton of yummy rigotta and sauce with a side of angel hair pasta. I seriously ate a little less than half and was stuffed! More than enough for a second meal. This place is solid for pizza. We ordered the pick 5 pizza. They were good with going half mushrooms and half olives for the 5th topping. We asked for thin crust and well done. The pizza was good. For well done and crispy there was quite a bit of flop on it. Sauce had a good rest. The crust was thicker than what I would consider thin. We ordered 20 wings and went half honey mustard and half hot. I would give these a 3. They weren't too hot and the mustard was just slathered on. We ordered 12 wings and a calzone. Half of the wings were garlic and half were mild. The mild were better and they're the real deal for buffalo wings - crispy and wonderful. Chose a Ham and cheese calzone with extra garlic, no ricotta. Also amazing. These flavors are exactly what i remember from my childhood growing up in NY. I have to give Avicolli's some overdue love. We spent a long weekend over the summer at Wellnesste Lodge and received a discount for this place as part of a package deal, so we stopped on the way home. I was impressed, especially for being in a small town in upstate NY. The atmosphere is definitely "pizzeria" but the food we had would be equally at home in a fancy restaurant in The City. I sometimes make arancini at home but it's a pain, so I usually order it if see it on the menu. Avicolli's is a great starter, very well made, and the marinara sauce with it was also very good. It's been a while so I forget the name of the pasta dish I had, but it's a house special with either sausage or chicken. I went with sausage, and it was incredible. Hot cherry peppers, enough pasta for three meals, excellent spicy sauce, and homemade sausage. Can't beat it. I'd be a regular if this place wasn't 5+ hours from home. The service was slow when we were there, one waitress was taking care of the whole lunch crowd and it was packed, but she was very friendly and took good care of us. And for what's its worth, the Buffalo chicken pizza at the table next to us looked good enough to steal a piece. We can't wait to go to Wellnesste again next summer, and Avicolli's is a must-stop for us, maybe even twice. read more

This is the absolute best Italian restaurant I've ever been to!! I live 2 hours away and will drive JUST to get my chicken riggies fix! The garlic knots are to die for, and HUGE!! Really not only is this the best food around here it is amazing at all standards. The atmosphere is a pizza place but the food and service is five star. And honestly I would rather not have to dress up in my best clothes to go into town. Chicken Riggies is my favorite, I am from PA and I a keep asking my friend, who lives here, to bring it when she visits. I had lobster ravioli which was fantastic as well. But the kick in cxn riggies is more my style. Garlic knots amazing!!!! Never had pizza but friend got white switch broccoli which looked really good. Great family owned business. The real italian food. My wife is 100% italian and is very picky with her italian dishes. All of the food is good. Also check out there Subs. Will beat any Sub shops. Was passing through during dinner time and took a chance. What a fantastic meal! We had the broiled haddock and Utica greens. The fish was so fresh and perfectly done with a great lemon sauce.
