Was in beautiful Rome, NY for work and needed a quick lunch. Found this place randomly. I tried a plain cheese and a white slice with ricotta and broccoli. The slices are huge but are also thin. Thin in a good way. They could have left it in the oven a few more minutes but it was still good. The plain cheese was nice. Good sauce and had a decent crisp. The white slice was tasty as well. Price was very reasonable. The spot itself was clean and acceptable. The counter woman was very friendly. I would try again. read more

First sampled a half a slice on a graze fest with a friend and knew I had to come back as the slice was crisp and the cheese was gooey. I knew I had to come back. Went back for dinner and while the cheese was gooey the crust wasn't as crisp but next time will ask them to cook a little more. They have take out, dine in options both outdoor and indoor. Unfortunately, the night we went the weather did not cooperate for outdoor seating. The dining room was nothing fancy but wait staff were top notch. So I have lived in CNY for 2.5 years. I have struggled with finding food with flavor and/ or consistency. This is one of the only restaurants that have both. We have been to this restaurant many times and every time it is really delicious. This is my son's favorite restaurant and every time he has a concert or an event he wants to go to this restaurant. This is important because my son is even more picky than I am. Recently I took my daughter and we met one of the owners. We dine-in during lunch breaks from Capitolfest at the Capitol Theatre on the same block, and the wait staff always seems irritated that we're there. Good luck getting drink refills. They also didn't keep track of which table ordered what food this year, so they gave our pizza to a different table. The pizza is delicious, though, so we keep coming back. Too late for me to review... possibly for the first impression. I have stopped here for dine in and take out now several times. I have been a creature of habit and ordered the same thing consistently. Both are worthy of your time and cash. If you're ordering by the slice, it can be challenging to fit your exact tastes. Good thing is ,it's a great reason to try something you may not have otherwise. Sandwich wise, very generous portions and flavorful. Dining area is separated from the takeout area. That's a big win I believe. Friendly staff and service has been on point. Star 5 is in reach in my book for sure. read more

My Gf and I came here as it was on the same block as the movie theater we were going to. The restaurant was split with a pick up half and a sit down half which was great! Grabbed a Gnocci dinner and she had a stuffed shells dinner. Both came with a choice of soup or salad I got the chicken soup and she a salad. Server was quick to refill drinks and was quick. Also came with a large amount of fresh hot bread and butter. For 13.99 with a decent amount of gnocchi, soup, and bread I think the value was great. My only gripe and it was minor was the server asked us both if we wanted the food baked with cheese. This ended up being an up charge of $2 each for us and we weren't advised ahead that was the case, we only found out on thr bill and I would have appreciated a heads up. I probably would have still said yes but the way we were asked it came off complimentary or as if it was personal preference in the preparation of the meal. Wow, a pizza place with no pizza. I ordered two slices and a coke, after 20 minutes, during which multiple people came in after me and were served pizza, they came back and said they were out of pizza. And then gave me a check for $10 for a soda and two slices?????? After disputing it, I had the option of paying $3 for a fountain Pepsi. Wow! Great job guys. I was in town for a work trip and was dying for some New York pizza. Some of the locals recommended this place so I stopped by and they were completely out of pizza slices. When I asked where else I should go, the cook said he had enough dough to make me a slice. So not only did I get amazing pizza, but I also got amazing service and my own slice of pizza to take back to my hotel room. And OMG the pizza is so delicious! I will definitely be back! read more

I like going and getting a slice usually I get the buffalo chicken pizza but when I went last time the didn't have it but had a chicken fajita pizza I was skeptical at first but tried and and now I prefer to get this slice if they have it today I got a me pizza so my kids can try it and see if they like it to and its a new hit in our house. Pretty good pizza place. I rated them as 3 stars for a couple of specific reasons. First - I've had great pizza here, but also had pretty bad pizza (dry and way overdone) here. And second, they're not always the friendliest, at least not at the counter. Having said those 2 things - I really like their pizza and have been there for lunch a bunch of times. They are usually quick and it's not like every time I go in I feel like they're not happy. But it's been a few times which in my opinion is too many. Overall I think they are a great place for a quick lunch and probably not a whole lot more. read more

I gave this place 1 more chance because I am like that and they failed. I ordered Spaghetti in oil and garlic and wings. I had them delivered and the noodles didn't come with bread like their menu says. I called and spoke to a female who said sorry we ran out of bread???? Lol. I'm sorry so that was your response? How about we can give your something else or lower the bill, but no, pay full price for something that you didn't get. Very strange. I had some of the worst service I have had in a long time at this restaurant. We told the waitress that we only had an hour and we asked what we could get quick. It was recommended that we get sandwiches. After waiting for 40 minutes, and nobody coming back to check on us, my mother asked if our sandwiches were coming. We were told they made a mistake and they had to remake the sandwiches. After another 10 minutes, my mother said, "let's get out of here, I'm not waiting any more for these sandwiches ". A waitress who wasn't even ours came over and said that they were doing their best and we were being rude. I said, " let's just go" and the waitress said "maybe you should just go". What? We waited 40 minutes for rueben sandwiches and we were rude for asking if our food was done? I'm not sure who the owner is but I'm sure he/she would be mortified at how the wait staff treats the customers. If she was the owner, shame on her. I ordered a salad for lunch, similar to what I have done many times before. Said it would be 35 minutes. I was surprised - normally they say 15 minutes and I asked, really 35 minutes for a salad? When I arrived the waitress - remembering my rude question over the phone - pointed out at the 37 minute mark that she told me 35 minutes and it would be a few minutes longer. 10 minutes later I received my salad. It was ok - checked it to make sure it was correct before leaving - but not worth the 45 minutes between order and pick up. Travelling from Buffalo to New England my son & I stumbled on this great spot. About 7 miles off of I-90 in Rome NY. It reminded me of Italian restaurants of my youth. Red sauce. Spaghetti. I had the chicken parm. My son had gnocchi. Both were outstanding. The fried ravioli appetizer hit the spot. Great food at a fair price. What more could you ask for? The service was friendly & fast. In Rome overnight at a hotel. I asked the desk clerk about some pizza placez. You know while in NY get pizza! She suggested this place. I ordered over the phone and the woman was very nice. Prices are decent. Delivery was quick. The food was good. I got a slice of cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli. The best part was the ravioli. It was DELICIOUS. mozzarella sticks were good not the best but not the worst (I figure with the delivery it's not as hot) but the pizza was so so. We chanced on this restaurant while visiting in Rome and looking for a place near the historic site for lunch. We went in not knowing what to expect but left totally impressed and fans. The place is pleasant enough, with touches of Italy and a good family feel. The food is the star attraction, though. Husband got chicken riggies, I got eggplant parmigiana with ziti on the side. First, the sauce on the ziti was amazing - home made by the owner, I was told, from an old recipe. I have not had sauce that good since I was a kid. The parmigiana was likewise outstanding. Husbands chicken riggies was outstanding and unique. The portions were large and we took half with us. The service was excellent and pleasant, and in all it was a great experience. Almost 5 stars! The pizza is the best I've found around, especially if you like large thin slices with some crunch. The only bummer about this place is that they always seem to be super busy and deliveries are alittle late/Luke warm. Stopped by here on a business trip. The food here was alright. Not bad, but nothing to talk about. I got the Ziti with Meatballs and only got 1 meatball. Not sure if that's normal, but no big deal. The cheese pizza was nice and crispy, but nothing I would go out of my way to get. The restaurant itself is nice and cozy with a friendly wait staff. Overall, this is a decent place to stop and grab a bite to eat. If you love Italian food, I'd personally go elsewhere, but you won't be distraught if you stop here. read more

Their pizza is very good. Their crust is much better than other pizza places in the area. You can get a 24" monster pizza if you dare. The meatball sub is excellent as is their burger. I recommend Boyz for good carryout. They also have a restaurant side if you prefer to eat in. read more

I've lived in rome my entire life, and frequent Boys. I've troughly enjoyed boys ever since I was a kid. Their food is strong and in line with all other italian pizzarias, with a multitude of offerings. I love their burgers especially, soooo goood! Their fried food is always top notch, I'm just not as huge of a fan of their pizza. It's fine and I like that the crust is thinner, but I don't think it holds up to the leftover test as well (which is how I eat most of my pizzas). It is far better fresh. That being said I also enjoy their sandwiches; (BLT is to die for), and the pasta is always great although I feel like the portions can be a little big, although they do have carry out so it's not that much of a problem The restaurant is run by good people and if you eat in, the wait staff always treat you like one of the family.
