After trial and error with an expander, braces, and retainers, my teeth became straight during my 10th grade year. I thought I was done until, my teeth moved quicker than my retainer could handle and my wisdom teeth got removed (crowding my teeth) and so now I end my years with a permanent retainer! (my favorite option) The staff has always been nice and welcoming, so much that I forget the worries/anxieties of being at an appointment. Any pain I had from expanders or braces could be solved with a couple advil or tylenol. After every appointment, I never missed opportunity to get a toy with the tokens from the front desk (I recommend the bouncy balls). 100% recommend, especially for kids.

I trusted NVO Orthodontics and Dr. Itani with my smile, and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've made. They completed my treatment even though my lower teeth were still crooked and my upper front teeth were still protruding. Anyone could clearly see that the treatment was not finished properly. I repeatedly expressed that I was unhappy with the results, but my concerns were not taken seriously. Instead of working with me to achieve the outcome I had paid for, they simply ended my treatment. I left the office feeling disappointed, frustrated, and hopeless. Orthodontic treatment is a significant investment of both time and money, and patients deserve to have their concerns heard and addressed--not dismissed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend NVO Orthodontics. I felt like getting paid was more important to them than making sure I was satisfied with the results of my treatment.

I opted to go with Invisalign and she walked me through the whole process so I understood all the pros and cons to that approach. Staff I love how the staff has taken the time to get to know me throughout the years. Big shout out to Mel who has been there from the very beginning. Always cheerful with a big smile on her face :) She did a great job calming me down when I've panicked during molding. That can't be easy trying to rationalize with an irrational adult haha. Scheduling Appointments Never have had an issue. Wednesday's they offer appointments as early as 7am and they have appointments over lunch so it makes it super convenient for those trying to maneuver around work hours. They also have an App that you can use to schedule appointments as well as an iPad at the front desk to make checking in super easy. Typically I'd book before I leave so I guaranteed the times I wanted. Wait Time I've always been shocked at how on schedule they are. I'm always in and out in the allotted time they gave me. So for quick routine check ups I've been averaging 10-20 minutes! Results I'm sooo happy with my end results. I just had my 6 month followup and couldn't be happier. Patient Appreciation This ones huge. Dr. Kortam's office goes above and beyond with customer satisfaction. They do spot lights to highlight patients personal successes like getting into college, offer contests throughout the year and they also do a customer appreciation event. This past year was at The Zone in Ashburn. There was pizza, cupcakes, prizes, and they gave coupons to the kids to play some arcade games. Again, I don't know a single doctor's office that has attempted to do anything like that. Overall I can't say more positive things about Dr. Kortam and her staff. The staff is not knowledgeable. Their fillings fail. Their crowns fail. They don't know what they're doing. All they want is your money. I went back to my old dentist, though out of my network. Not worth jeopardizing your health. My wife had a tooth pulled and they removed part of her jaw bone with it and chipped the tooth next to it and said nothing. They had a great dentist briefly but he was only there for less than 6 months and I see why. Stay away from these people.
