We visited Dr.Mullen as a second opinion as our old one claimed my daughter was going to have repeat her spacer/expander, head gear once all her baby teeth were gone before braces. Mind you that ortho had already maxxed out our coverage.. Low and behold Dr.Mullen checked and said no way. She needed one adult tooth removed and then a gum graph as the bottom would not have supported braces. My daughter actually likes the staff. They are all very kind and friendly and actually talk to the kids about EVERYTHING. Not just braces. Once my daughter got her braces we were even given a care kit that included an electric toothbrush! We are very happy we changed othos. Mullen is the BEST. read more

At 41 years old my dentist told me I needed braces because my teeth were shifting. Never having had braces as a teenager, I started shopping around for orthodontists. Dr. Mullen was the third office I interviewed, and after meeting the staff I knew this was the office for me. Every person I've worked with at the office is friendly and competent. I appreciated the time they took to explain my options and to listen to my concerns. The office manager, Donna, patiently took the time to get me the receipts required by our flex spending account, even going the extra mile to fax them an explanatory letter after all the normal receipts did not seem to be satisfying their requirements. Both Kelly and Jessica are wonderful orthodontic assistants. Dr. Mullen has fitted me with braces, and has examined two of my children for upcoming dental work. Dr. Mullen fitted both my kids for their braces. We just finished the second child and I can wholeheartedly recommend Mullen Orthodontics. Dr. Mullen is one of those orthodontists that doesn't believe in putting on braces until all your teeth have come in, thus reducing the time in the braces. Donna who works at the front desk is wonderful. She knows all the parents by their names and is very helpful if there are issues. Mullen Orthodontics is a pretty good orthodontist... expect for the part where they lie to you. Always promising you it will take 6-9 months, when in reality, it takes 3 years to get your jaw in place using rubber bands. Always blaming me for not wearing my rubber bands when all I do is wear them. They even offered a new treatment because this one was going too slow but, they said we had to pay EXTRA. That doesn't make sense to me, if your treatment isn't working and you offer an alternative solution... we shouldn't have to pay extra for it. People there are very nice except for the person who sits in the front. read more

Both my kids have been patients of Dr. Mullen. Very well-run practice thanks to his great team, especially Donna. Dr. Mullen is friendly, knowledgeable and well-connected with other practices as necessary (oral surgeons). This is the 3rd orthodontic practice my family has experience with and it is by far the best. We're very happy with Mullen Orthodontics, particularly with the friendliness of the staff and the efficiency of the appointments. We are always able to schedule early in the morning before school. My son never even sits down before he is called back, he is in and out in 15 minutes, our next appt is made and we are on our way, never late for school. Although in the busy Village of Leesburg, parking is never an issue. I am always able to get a spot right in front of the building. Highly recommend! read more

My daughter is taken on time for her appointments, sometimes even early. The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions. The new office is modern and very airy.
