This place is a scam designed to squeeze extra money out of customers hoping they don't notice. I rented from this location four times over the past year, notably always on the same day of the week and I remember it's the same employee that I dealt with (his name is listed on my receipt). First time, they added extra insurance coverage after I explicitly declined. Second time, they pulled a bait-and-switch on the vehicle class and passed off a higher price as what I reserved and drove. Third time, they attempted to pin preexisting damage on me. Fourth time, they charged me a fuel service even though I returned immediately after filling the tank completely. Double-check every line item, inspect the car carefully, and document everything because apparently that's the only way to protect yourself at this location. read more

I had a great experience with this Avis, when picking up my car the guy at the front was very kind and gave me a huge upgrade without asking. I also saw him professionally manage a couple people being somewhat demeaning towards him for 20 minutes. During checkout, the lady at the counter was also very considerate and kind. I appreciated that the final cost matched the estimate, no surprise fees when I returned the car. The car itself Camry was clean and drove well. It had a few cosmetic dings, but they were all noted in the paperwork, and it ran without any issues. The pickup process took a little longer than expected about 20 minutes but the staff were courteous and explained everything, No aggressive upselling, just a quick run-through of options and insurance. The return was quick, though the signage at the lot was a little unclear. I had to ask where to leave the keys and park, but once I got to the right place, the drop-off took less than five minutes. I got a confirmation email within a couple of minutes . Only minor gripe: the fuel level was slightly under full when I picked it up. I topped it off before returning just to avoid any dispute, but it would've been nice if it started full to begin with. The phone 425-462-9373 never answers, redirects to the main AVIS long wait line, so there is no way to resolve any questions with the office. I got the car with washer fluid low, I had barely enough to the end of my travel. The tire pressure was also low and I was constantly getting alerts about those. In addition to the poor car maintenance, I was also overcharged for 1 extra day + late fees, although I returned the car 1 hour before the due time. read more

After my accident, I should have been more diligent when selecting a rental car company. Avis and Budget are the worst in the industry to rent from. Avis in Bellevue has shady business practices. First, Uber rental cars are not properly maintained. The cars are filthy inside and out, with no or very low washer fluid in the reservoir, and the AC did not work. They don't take the trash left behind from the previous renter out of the car or vacuum. After continuously renting for weeks, I requested that they give me a clean car. I use the car to work at Uber, so when they provide a filthy car, I have to clean it to keep my good ratings. I waited an hour for a clean car. The following week, they increased my weekly rental rate without notice. I complained to Avis and Uber but was told they have a right to do that. I know they did it because I requested a clean car. My advice is not to auto-renew your rental contract. Reserve your car week to week at the current rate. In my opinion, this location and Avis Worldwide are crooks. read more

I rented an electric car to use for driving Uber. It took a week to book because nobody ever answered the phone when I called. When I finally got the car I was never instructed on how to power up and electric car. I rented it for a week. I was running low on batter power. At a power station I called the stationed for support. After one hour of a support call the associate with the stationed said, "There is something wrong. You need to take the car back". I returned the car on the last day of my week rental at the Bellevue Hilton. Of course there was nobody there to check me out and take the key. I left the key at the front desk at the hotel. The hotel front desk said this was proper procedure. The next day I got notification from my bank that Avis charged my account for not just one week but for an entire second week. Over $1100.00 and I never drove the car. To ad insult to injury they did not just charge my account they sent me bill by way of certified main for the same amount. The funds are gone from my account and they demand I pay again. This company is corrupt. I am going to fight this with legal assistance. Look out Avis! You got it coming!!! read more

Specifically this location deserves more than 5 stars. I picked my rental up from the SEA airport location and the interior had left over wrappers, water bottles, pine needles, dirt, etc that at the time I was too bothered on getting to my next destination to know. The mess paired with the experience I had with the people working the front desk were not pleasant. I stopped and they were able to clean my interior on the spot for me and apologized for the other location not handling it better. read more

Worst car rental place. Avis try to set all the traps to overcharge customers. Expect to paid at $100 for price from Priceline, finally paid $300 for all the traps set to customer. The customer service is super rude, nobody actually check the vehicle when you pickup and return the vehicle. Then they charge your extra for any reason they can find. read more

I will not be returning to this Avis location. I made a reservation for the second weekend of 4th of July week (Friday-Sunday) as we were headed out of town. After comparing options, I chose this location because I was quoted over $100 less than other agencies and locations. I showed up at 7:45 a.m. on Friday for my 8 a.m. pickup. The desk wasn't open yet, which was fine since it opened at 8, except no one showed up for over 40 min. At that point there was a line of other people waiting to get their cars too. I called Avis customer service, but corporate customer service didn't know what was going on and couldn't help me. Finally one other customer went behind the booth to call the manager and tell her no one showed up for their shift (she found the manager's number on a post it note). The manager arrived 10 min later, and I finally got my car an hour after I arranged to pick it up. The car itself was not clean, and there was permanent residue on the inside of the windshield in front of the steering wheel. I had waited so long I didn't even bother bringing it up. When I returned the car today, the staff at the desk were extremely slow and disorganized. Now I know why the downtown Seattle location is more expensive: you get what you pay for. Stay away from this one; it's not worth the cheap price. read more

Was called a liar. My husband called, asking this location if they had a minivan at the location. He was told "yes." He then asked to exchange the car that we were given from the downtown Seattle Avis location for a minivan, since we had reserved a minivan and the downtown location was out of minivans. We were told "no, the van is only for new reservations." He then asked why he couldn't exchange it and the person on the phone was very rude. So he handed me the phone. The person on the phone told me "Your husband lied to me about having a reservation." I said, "no, he didn't lie, he just asked if you had a minivan at the location. Anyway, long story short, Avis Seattle and Bellevue were so unhelpful and rude that my impression of Seattlelites being very nice and friendly have been ruined. Unfortunate! read more

Horrible experience. I normally prefer Avis because it's easy in/ Hassel free back. This site isn't what I described. When I brought back the car, I was informed the back seat had too much dog hair and unless I get it cleaned or clean it myself, I will be charged a cleaning fee upwards of $100! Where is that in the policy? I was told the vacuum may not pick up the dog hair. I ended up buying a 2 pk travel lint brushes and cleaned it myself. It took 3 sticky pieces from 1 lint brush to pick up the dog hair. How lazy is this site? This site needs an over haul because this is not normal for Avis- go anywhere but this site. read more

We got there and were told that they did not have cars.... we asked when this happened because we ordered to pick up at 8:00 AM and was told it was our responsibility because of our no show at 8:00 AM? What!? Seriously!? You did not state anything about the no-show rule in the confirmation email! I asked if you should call about the no-show! Avoid this location if possible. Reserved far advanced for 11:30 am on Day1 but got a lower-tier car with damages at 1:30 pm. Told to come in next morning and swap for the car we paid for. Came in next day at 9 am, the manager Felicia, accused us of damaging the car we had, which we received damaged and told us we should be happy we even had a car. We were threatened she can cancel our reservation or choose to wait endlessly. Moreover, Felicia told us she has full-size cars at the moment but they are reserved for other customers who are coming at noon. We had reservations yesterday and hasn't been fulfilled. read more
