I've found trash and food wrappers in the cars, floors covered with gravel and dirt, very dirty on the outside. I no longer trust they have been serviced so have it checked before I even leave town. The windows are always dirty. This used to be a good location and the previous officer manager, a woman named Jody, was extremely helpful and always accommodated any request as best as she could. The young woman who is in that office now that Jody is gone is intolerably rude and obnoxious, just scowls at you while doing the rental paperwork, does not even look at you and does not respond if you speak to her. She is a disgrace and I cannot believe that ANY company would have such a hateful woman running their office. Today I returned a car TWO MINUTES before 9 am when the office opens. I knocked on the door but she wouldn't answer and when she finally did, she said "I'm not open until 9" and to use the key drop when she was standing right in front of me. I asked her if she had to so rude all time and she said I WAS RUDE expecting her to open early - a whole 2 minutes! This obnoxious, rude, and disgusting woman should NOT be in any customer service capacity and I am reporting her to the corporate headquarters for the way I have been treated by this ugly woman and for how this location has declined so badly in terms of the condition of the cars and the abusive office clerk. I will never rent from Budget again.

On hold for an hour to be told that "maybe" I could swap out my vehicle at a local Budget. So in the morning I took my chances and drove to the Budget in Bend and asked if they could swap out my vehicle. Danielle was super kind and so helpful. I've rented plenty of vehicles and have never dropped them off where I picked them up. It's always been in other cities or air ports. That's how I've always seen rentals. It shouldn't be on the customer to know when specific details pertaining a privately owned Hertz and Corporately owned Hertz. It's on the staff to explain massively costly details UP FRONT like that to customers when they renting from them. Take the Hertz name down. It doesn't serve consumers in an honest fashion.

The van came equipped with all of the essentials for a comfortable road trip: bedding, kitchen and dishware and a decent cooler - massively lightening our gear load on the trip in. The issue is this: Reserve a Mid-sized car (on line in advance), arrive to pick up car and be told "sorry" no mid sized available, Darn it! But wait Compact is available . Problem is the compact is too small. Grandma is not going for the roof rack. There are cars (lots of them) the next size up from mid-sized but price increases anywhere from $20.00 extra per day or more. So we get a choice because you're standing at the counter, in the airport......trying not to look like an idiot... Take the compact (yes it's less money, but not the point), or pay a considerable amount more for a larger car! What happened to the days when you made a reservation, confirmed the item in question, many times prepaid to save time, there was never a thought for Enterprise to comp the upgrade, something? Anything? Yes, I am a fan Enterprise has the best service in Redmond, but this issue has happened to me. I can take it! Those I referred to Enterprise were not amused!! LC

So we're starting our vacation by standing around (60 minutes and counting) waiting for a car, surrounded by a large crowd of people doing the same thing. I get that it's busy season, but don't take more reservations than you have actual cars for. "You know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to hold the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding."

The cars are always clean on the inside and out. I've rented a Dodge Ram Rebel & Challenger, Ford Mustang & Edge, Chevy Camaro, Toyota 4Runner, & Rave4, a Jeep and more. All are in top condition. We arrived at the Redmond, OR airport on Thursday for a wedding weekend, only to discover we had accidentally booked our rental car at a Budget location in North Bend -- four hours away. Panic set in fast. We got in line at the Budget counter, explained our situation, and that's when the magic happened. Manager Ethan, with calm and genuine kindness, said "No worries, we have one more walk-up." He let us know it had a half tank of gas and was ready to go right then and there. We didn't hesitate for a second -- we said yes. Wesley jumped in immediately, got our information entered with impressive speed, and within minutes we were holding the keys to the last car on the lot. What could have been a travel disaster turned into one of the smoothest moments of the entire trip. We had to get to Bend for wedding activities, and thanks to Ethan and Wesley, we made it -- stress-free and smiling. That one act of kindness and professionalism set the tone for an absolutely magical four-day trip. We are so grateful we stopped at this location before giving up hope.
