I was looking for a Bronco 2, I had previously rented one but had to return it for a vehicle recall. He knew I liked the vehicle I previously rented and wanted to make sure I was satisfied. The worst car rental experience ever here. The owner was unnecessarily hostile and threatened to call the cops if we didn't leave. I've been an Avis customer for 6 years for both work and leisure. Hands down this place has no sense of customer service. I called this location and spoke to a person that agreed to trade me a new car with working air conditioning, she confirmed location and zip code and said there is a car in the lot available to trade and they're expecting me. I show up and the employee said there's a 4Runner I could trade but he said he never got my call so he needs to call his owner. They're on speaker phone and the owner sounds annoyed after he found out I picked up the car from the airport and basically told the employee to tell me to just go back to the airport and that they can't help me, which is frustrating because I specifically called to confirm and the employee even said there was a 4Runner available. They continue to deny I called them so I showed them my phone log and said I'm going to redial that number and what do you know, their desk phone rings! They just blatantly said well we don't know what happened maybe a guest picked up the phone. I said I'm calling corporate to straighten this out and sat in their lobby but apparently that was enough for the owner to threaten to call authorities and kicked us out. Disgusting attitude from the owner. I'd understand if they had no cars or even if they didn't want to give up a car they could've assisted me in a different way. read more

Worst experience!! Both times I have tried to rent here and they gave my car away and then I am charged for a more expensive vehicle. If you don't know the exact time you'll be there, the car will be gone. They don't have enough cars in the slot so beware you will get whatever they have regardless of what you agreed to. read more

Where to start, this location has now proven to be the real joint demise of what was once a great company to rent from. Not only would I choose Avis for work but also pleasure. This last visit 2 weeks ago was the nail in thier coffin. I waited 2 weeks to calm down and not leave a reviews filled with expletives. So long story short after waiting nearly an hour in a room with multiple people this one guy mind you a one man show attempted to help everone waiting but did it in a way we actually felt sorry for him. I sure did and this maybe where it all went wrong. I had a booking for 2 days for a small SUV with no added services since my company does not cover any kind of additional cost. I did let him give me a car un-cleaned to help him out, he said you can have this vehicle for a discounted rate but added a roadside package without telling me and set the rental for one day instead of two. I was slid a paper to sign and with five people waiting in line rushed me to sign and move along. Needless to say there was no discounted rate and the vehicle he put me in was more expensive, he added roadside and not to menton I was stuck with a $10 extra day fee. Over 6 calls to the location with no change or resolution. Only to be told we will have a manager call you. Guess what, no calls days later i was told, call corporate only to be told after the 3rd call I was waisting thier time and there was nothing they were going to do about it. Well Avis / Budget not only have you lost me as a customer but i am going out of my way to cost you business, my company and everyone I know will not be renting from Avis or Budget again. I had to pay over $60 out of my own pocket for a company covered rental. it is unfair and not right! My coworker had a similar experance in Atlanta last month and was also charged for add ons that he never authorised. He was out of pocket for over $30 since Avis also played him. This was a fool me twice situation i am smart enough to not allow them to do it for a third time. Never Again! Just had a Enterprise rental today, lets put it this way they are miles above Avis and 2 rentals in with the brighton location they are being made to look like a much superior option. read more

Absolutely horrendous service. I was aloud to make a reservation at 12pm when that's the time they close. We call a little before 12 as we're running late to which an employee picks up and tells us it'll be ok and they'll let them know we'll be closer to 1pm not once mentioning that the store is closed. We get to the locked store with the open sign still on only to call them and have THEM tell US that we never called anyone even though we have the logs and basically told us tough luck. You're better off finding a different company as Avis is terrible. read more

I don't think I could say anything worse about this location; all you have to do in meet Sam. He gave my car away. I had to go back to the office; I told him I would get one someplace else. He said since I was picking it up after hours it would be in a back lot. I told him I did not want a car that was low and in good running condition. He said it's a 2020. I cam after work to pick up. It was on a field behind a auto repair place. Muddy and weeds. The car is filthy; tire was half flat and swayed down the road. Plus stinks like marijuana. I tried to call Mr. Sam and he never picks up the phone. So I called Costco while we were fixing the tire. I had to leave early in the morning for DC. I postponed my time to go there at 7am and exchange. No o e was there! The open sign on and door locked. This car swayed all the way to DC. Almost 60k mikes and two cracks in the windshield right in the drivers view. No pride in what they do; they do not care about you as a customer; just put to lie and take your money. Do not give them your time. Just a terrible place. Go to Enterprise; I have had great experiences with them. Sad they represent themselves in our community. read more

Picked up a rental car from Avis. They were friendly, had the car I wanted, and even put a snow brush/scrape in it. May not seem like a big deal, but having the snow brush is critical this time of year! Would go back next time I need a rental. read more

Rented a convertible for a week. Had to return after a couple hours due to the top having an unbearable noise. Called Laura Gangnier (owner) that I was returning the car due to the noise. She told me she was charging me which I refused. Upset since I had to return the car and was late getting back on the road for vacation. Shane (employee) drove the car when I returned it and said he heard the noise. After returning from vacation I thought Budget would not charge me. I called Laura and she said Shane said there was nothing wrong with the car...1st Lie. She was still charging me and did not have time to talk so I called Budget supervisors. I found out that Laura filed a false claim that when I picked up the car I changed my reservation to only a day...2nd Lie. ​She wanted it to look like I used the car and wanted a refund.​ I have the paper work showing a week rental. The paper work Shane gave me after returning the car showed I drove 173 miles... 3rd Lie. I drove about about 60 miles. Talked with Budget supervisor Page who was very rude...she would not tell me her last name or allow me to record our conversation. Page was not concerned about Laura filing the fraudulent claims. It took 2 weeks of calls and emails to Budget with no results. I notified my charge card of the fraud and stopped payment. Finally I forwarded all the emails to Budget Executive Office. The executive office reviewed the case and issued a total refund. My first and last rental with Budget. read more
