Bahran and Badraa were awesome, they helped with our rental and gave us a great car! Definitely a good place to rent and they are open on Sundays too. read more

Never going to use this rental service again, I've given them too many chances and the last one was too egregious to ignore: Several weeks ago I found a rental car in AVIS to take me to vegas. I did the research and got the confirmation number and saved all the information. Everything was organized and scheduled. About a week before my trip, I got a second confirmation email that changed my pickup location. I was extremely confused about this as I already got a confirmation email, weeks ago. So I quickly edit the reservation to the correct original locations The DAY BEFORE my trip I received another confirmation email that my location had changed. At this point I was too worried so I decided to call and ask what was going on. After being on call and explaining my situation, they finally gave me the bad news. No Cars were available nowhere near my pickup location. This was the DAY BEFORE my trip. All my planning and due diligence thrown out the window. I asked if there is any other options because I had this confirmed and planned WEEKS AGO, the agent said, "when you put it like that, it sounds messed up" I was hesitant to express anger to the agent because I knew it was not his fault. But the situation made me beyond livid. No alternative transportation or even a sorry, simply a, yea that sucks dude. If it was not for my need to have everything neat, I would have shown up to that branch like a fool without a car, thus weeks of planning a trip, thrown out the window. I can handle mediocre service, I can handle a frustrating system. What I can't handle is this company violating an express contract to have a car for me when I followed the procedure, only for them to pull the run from under me the day before my trip. Good luck if you use this Avis, you're going to need it if this happens to you. read more

I called here to get an understanding on how things work for the locals only to be hung up on and then he proceeded to leave the phone off the hook . So I wouldn't be abled to call back worst customer service ever and very rude. read more

It was the worse experience and I honestly wouldn't go back or recommend it to others. The customer service is being treated differently with every person. I was told only charged twice and declined I needed to call my bank and I did. Just for them to charge me more and declined and told me that I have to wait 24 hours to try again. I had to call customer service and get a refund. read more

Interesting to see how many people have had a bad experience with AVIS. I have always rented cars directly through the AVIS website and at this specific location more than a handful of times and have never had an issue. Not only do they have some of the lowest rates, they also are as up-front as you can get in regards to placing an authorization hold on your CC (which is industry practice for car rentals). I always receive a car that's brand new, and clean. One of the few cons that I can think of is that more often than not, the exact car that you reserved won't be available (due to people extending their contracts last minute, late returns, etc), but will always upgrade your vehicle to a higher tier at the same price point, which is a pretty sweet deal, however, if you're concerned about MPG and you wanted an economy car but suddenly, you're stuck with a 4x4, I can see why that'd be a little frustrating. One last con is that rarely, there'd be some pre-existing damage to the vehicle that was not recorded on their end, so, always make sure to record a 360 degree video around the vehicle to ensure that any damage to the vehicle occurred prior to you having rented it. I'm just glad I was able to point out some undercarriage/front bumper scratch damage to a vehicle and check with the employee beforehand to notate it on their records before I took control of the vehicle. Other than that, everything was smooth sailing and it'd be hard to find a rental place that is easy to rent from and return to 7 days a week. Most places are usually closed weekends, so the fact that this location is open every day is pretty sweet. They're also very lenient when you're late as well. I was over an hour late on one of my rentals and they understood that due to some unforeseen circumstances, that I was going to be late and did not charge me a full day late fee. Thanks, AVIS! Great place to rent cars and friendly staff as well. read more

I made a reservation with Avis and headed to this location. When I arrived, no car was available. Ryan and Avis , get your act together

Clean the cars, rent cars not damaged, provide front License plate because it's the actual law, don't laugh about the filth in the car because it wasn't cleaned when the customer complains and STILL not clean it, turn off the music on your phone that is using the "f" word every 5 seconds while helping customers, don't charge a $450 cleaning fee when you don't actually clean the vehicles...... and I haven't even actually driven it yet! read more

I will never ever book here again!!! First, the person in the counter (which i forgot to get his name) is not friendly at all. So, when i returned the car its not that dirty there was just debri of little sand or what not on the floor which is normal. We threw all the garbage which what we always do. Returned the vehicle In a good condition. But, when received the final charge, they charged me $75 for just vacuuming! And this is the first time i ever encounter a rental car that they require client to return the car polish!!!! read more

Charged me a no show fee when they were the ones who cancelled my reservation because they didn't have cars

Very friendly & helpful service. The vehicle was clean & smelled nice. I definitely will use again, & highly recommended!

I had a GREAT experience. In and out. It was a speedy process. Excellent customer service. What I did not like was how Ryan made the assumption that I would "need" an extra day and indirectly made me sign the contract from 02/19/20 to 02/21/20....when in actuality I only needed the car for 02/19-02/20. So what he assumed was different from what I reserved which made my total go up. I, IN FACT, did return the car within a 24 hour/1 day period. But Ryan left a distasteful place in my heart. I specifically wanted the car for 1 day. I know he was not "trying to be deceptive" However I told him I only wanted the car for 1 day....yet he printed the contract for 2 days "just in case I'm late. I've been with Avis for 10+ years. Don't make executive decisions for me. Period. read more

I decided to call and make a reservation instead of doing it online. Ryan helped me with an economy car reservation and told me they would honor that rate if a smaller car was not available. When I arrived to pick up my car, Ryan offered me a Prius since he had 2 available at the time. I only needed the rental for a day but I appreciated the hybrid upgrade. Getting the car and dropping off to their parking lot was very easy. The parking attendant was very nice even though he was busy washing all the cars in the back. If I every need a rental I will return to this location. One thing to note is that this location is small so if you are on a tight schedule, please arrive early. read more

I recommend Avis/Budget over Enterprise and Hertz. Avis/Budget only requires $200 deposit in addition to the car rental fee. Enterprise charges $300 and up depending on the type of vehicle. Hertz charges $500 if you use a debit card and $300 for a credit card. If you are planning to rent a car for the entire week and have a few hundred dollars that you can do without until you return the car then go with Enterprise or Herts. read more

Needed a rental car for the weekend and found a discount coupon and got a deal on a suv for 5 days. The guy that helped us out was very helpful. We were trying to decide between a Ford Escape and Chevy Escape. Ended up deciding on the Escape. The car was brand spanking new with no dents or marks! It's a smaller rental car place and we did have to wait a little when phone calls came in but no other complaints. I hope my review doesn't change when we return the car! read more

It makes me said to write this review because I had so many pleasant experiences at this location. However, someone here seems to be dishonest. I returned a car in perfect condition after having it for one day. Now I'm getting a e-mail about being billed for almost $200 in glass damage. There are no photos. If you rent here, make sure to take pictures of the car when you return it. I wish I had so I'd be able to have evidence. read more

I don't know why people keep referring to the space being depressing. Take your ass to a more crowded Avis and see how your experience goes...Anyways, with that being said, I absolutely love coming to this Avis and I honestly don't go anywhere else. Tes ALWAYS (and I mean always) takes care of me. I have been coming to this place for years and I've never had any problems. The staff are always thorough and friendly. Ryan is always great too. I always have the best cars and always have an overall great experience (which is why I keep coming back). I will never rent anywhere else again!! read more

Intended to write this a few weeks ago, however, everything about my rental experience was positive. I was the only one in line which for the Holiday season was great! I was pleased with the rate and the great customer service. I called a few times with questions before I made my reservation and each question was answered with courtesy. Even better customer service when I came in and when I returned the car! So pleased that in fact I just made another reservation! read more

Space looks very depressing. Only one worker when there's always customers waiting. Not very good at communicating where to pick up the car, which is at the end of the large parking lot They should play some music or something. But the rental cost is cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. 50 people stood in line at the LAX Avis. Took 2 hours Friday to get a rental with NO a/c. Please do not go to this Avis bad bad service. read more

This centre is quite a day saviour as I am not sure if I would have been able to complete a business trip without their helpfulness. In brief, I arrived 15 minutes after closing time but the door was still open and an clerk was still present so I decided to take a stab. Although they were closed, both the front desk clerk and the lot operator quickly looked up my reservation and had me driving away in less than 10 minutes. Moreover, despite me being late, they were still incredibly courteous and understanding. I frankly don't know what more I could've asked for. Thanks again! read more

My (now) wife and I needed to rent a Minivan to take our parents and siblings on our wedding trip for 4 days. We picked this rental place because I've never seen one have more than 2 stars on Yelp! We figured it was worth a shot. This Avis location FAR exceeded our expectations. The manager who we saw on the pickup day was more friendly than you can imagine and SUPER helpful and very easy to talk to, etc. Upon realizing the minivan we rented was a couple of minutes away from being ready, he decided that since it was our wedding and he didn't want us to wait, he'd upgrade us to a luxury SUV for no extra charge. This car was AMAZING! The car was clean and very nice and we had an incredible time. Another employee even called us the day before we needed to return it to ask us how the car was treating us and to let us know that we could extend our trip if we needed and where to drop the key off (24 hour return). He even gave me his cell number in case I had any problems and congratulated us on our marriage. I've never heard of a car rental place going to this length to make sure someone is happy. I will DEFINITELY go back and will always refer people here. read more

I absolutely love coming here! I'm usually here at least once a month. Always such great customer service and everyone working here is so genuine. Tes is always wonderful even under pressure of a busy day. There's another gentleman that works in servicing the vehicles and he also makes my day with his kind words and interest in where I'm off to this time. I had first chose this place out of convenience to my home and the fair price. Now I can't imagine going anywhere else when I need to rent a car. Thanks guys! We'll see you next month! read more

This is long overdue, but better late than never. My overall experience with this Avis location has been exceptionally wonderful. The first time I used this Avis location was on an early Saturday afternoon, after I received a call from someone who needed to get picked up from the airport that night, which I already knew, but what I didn't know was that there were several more passengers and a lot of luggage that would be part of the ride as well. I called Avis and a gentleman, by the name of Tes K., picked up the phone and helped me out by letting me know what vehicles he had a available and that the Avis location he works at was closing in half an hour, but if I hit there before he closed he would help out with a rental. I ran over there, got there before they closed and Tes was SUPER helpful. He made sure that I got the vehicle I was looking for, and at the best deal Avis could offer. I recently went back, and needed to rent a mini-van for one day. I came across another gentleman named Edgar, who was able to help me to reserve a mini-van for one day at a very reasonable price. Tes K., Edgar and Ryan M. are all great examples of not only true professionalism, but of what it means to be in the business of customer service. These gentlemen genuinely care about every Avis customer that uses this location, and they do their very best to not only find you the vehicle you need, but at a good rate, and they are expeditious in their process. Oh...and I have to give a thumbs up to the gentleman who work outside with cleaning and maintaining the vehicles, as they are also very professional, good hearted and care about the customers and the customer service that they provide as well. I highly recommend to everyone and anyone that lives out here, or is visiting Los Angeles, to either go online, call, or stop in at this specific Avis location to receive great quality service, from a group of dedicated people. read more

I had the most pleasant experience renting a car here few weeks ago. Ryan was truly the BEST here & Tes was also a very nice team- this team of helping & serving customers win a gold medal!!! Not only the price was competitive, the service offered was more than 5 stars. I have multiple rental car experiences with different companies & employees. I find Avis usually a much better company to rent a car than other big & small companies like Hertz, Budget(now same as Avis), Enterprise, Some airport Rental companies, etc. My experiences with Avis are so far good ones. But among other Avis locations, Ryan & Tes make this LA Ktown location THE BEST one!!! Thank you~~~ and I will definitely come back. I will refer Ryan to anyone. read more

Honestly, the best place to rent a car. The cars are new and pretty clean. The rates can't be beat. I rent from here all the time and I've been pretty satisfied. However, they do try to guilt trip you into buying their insurance. The sales guy said verbatim, "Why don't you just buy our insurance since we gave you such a great rate on the car?" Well, I would hope you would try to get me a good rate anyway and I wouldn't have to owe you anything. I was quite displeased with this salesperson. But this is definitely the best place to rent a car! :) read more

To the guy who helped us: I've traveled plenty of times that involved car rentals. It's a huge downer to be traveling for 10 hours to have ALREADY rented a car from here to get to the airport in the first place, to come back AFTER making a reservation at 1am to tell us we can't get a rental for whatever excuse you keep telling us. I'm disappointed. Please work out your kinks dude, I sure was NOT going to call an Uber (as you suggested, might I add) for a $220 car ride home. 3 stars because thank you to the main guy (Winston) working the desk to make things work without having get deep into my personal information for a $70 car rental!! read more

Do not use this rental location if you are booking through expedia. They will not honor your expedia rate and will then charge you full price. I wish I would've believed all the bad reviews on here and saved myself the hassle of dealing with the AWFUL customer service at this location. They're extremely rude, do not communicate from inside the lobby to the guys giving you the car outside - and be warned, if you don't fill the tank up, they charge you over $9 a gallon - and no one communicated that to me or my friend when we got the car. Which led to the front desk guy Ryan being very rude and condescending when I brought the car back. Whatever you do, rent from somewhere else!! Learn from my mistake. read more

I had a good experience with this rental car company. It was the first time I rented a car from this company. It was convenient since it was a few minutes from my job. You have to drive into the parking lot, pull a ticket. The company has a small space on the lobby level. I made a reservation online the same day with my discover card discount. I reserved a full size but they didn't have any full size cars available so they upgraded me to a premium. I rented the car for 4 days & paid $138. Once you're there for pickup you have to walk to the end of the parking lot where they store the rental cars. There's an attendant under a tent that assists you (which isn't very professional). Once you return your vehicle you can leave the car with the attendant. The parking lot is 24hrs & you can leave your own vehicle in the parking lot, just be sure to lock up your car. read more
