Joshua, Charlie and Jessica were who I dealt with most recently* and they were all great! I decided to rent a car on this trip to Nevada, and after using Budget for my past two trips elsewhere when I needed a car, I kind of learned my lesson. Back to Enterprise! I last used them prior to Covid when I lived right down the street, needing a car after an accident. After the decent experience here, I realized returning to them was the best thing. Still within walking distance but a little further the opposite way, I initially walked over to see if they offered a free pick up/drop off shuttle (they did considering I lived close by) and Joshua was very helpful. When I booked online, the process was streamlined and simple. The only 'panic moment' was when I was running late to pick up the car (by walking over), the number I called was clearly a call center of some sort, and I knew the office on Gower most likely won't get the message. After arriving, I did have to wait quite a bit but Charlie was great in keeping me posted on the status of my rental. Jessica was the one who did the 'walk about' with me which I appreciated since the other rental company just let you find the car on your own. Surprisingly the gas tank was not full, so I didn't have to bring this back full yet I have no idea how to gauge such things so I knew it was coming back fuller than when I got it. I needed to return the car by 5:30p since they close at 6p, and I made it back with plenty of time. Joshua took in my car and everything checked out great. I did have to wait for the shuttle since someone else was using it, but once it returned, Charlie got me to my place in one piece. My sole issue with this specific location is that they close rather early on Saturday, and are closed on Sunday (when I normally leave for my trip). I know I could get the car on Saturday, but I find it pointless to pay for the extra day. Whoa! I'm surprised at how great of an experience I had renting my first car here. My boyfriend and I needed to rent a car to drive up the Bay Area since my SUV isn't reliable anymore. I was able to book through Costco and got a good deal for 5 days. When I got there, they had a good assortment of SUVs, and I asked specifically for ones with CA license plates and ended up picking a brand new Ford Edge that was perfect for the long-distance trip. BE SURE TO CHECK BEFORE what their hours are, especially if you want to rent on the weekends, because they close at noon on Saturday and they're closed all day Sunday. This was why we wanted to rent M-F, since it's easier to get back before 6pm. We decided on Friday that we wanted to stay an extra day, but we were worried about returning it on time. We got ahold of someone at the 1-800 number and they let us know that we could extend til Saturday and return the car to any nearby location. The Beverly Hills one on Robertson closes at 4, so we were able to bring it back to there around 3pm. The best part was that the extension only cost $2.11! I couldn't believe it. Beware before coming here. It was the worst bait & switch experience. They keep calling me to reserve a car for me, although the car repair happened weeks ago. I actually had reserved a Mercedes by phone and arrived at your location after spending around $13 each way on Uber. Upon arrival, I was told that someone else had taken the vehicle I had reserved, despite my prior arrangement only an hour before arriving and confirming the vehicle was available. The only option available was a Dodge at a significantly higher daily rate of approximately $75. This situation felt like a bait-and-switch tactic, as I was promised a luxury vehicle within my budget (as the insurance allowed $30/day coverage) only to arrive and be offered a more expensive alternative. It is unacceptable to mislead customers, leave them stranded without the promised vehicle, and attempt to upsell out of desperation. The right thing for them to do would be to reimburse me for the Uber expenses I incurred traveling to and from the location, given the circumstances. I understand this may not reflect your values as a company, but the actions of your staff during my visit were unacceptable. read more

So we were re-routed here from the Weho location ( who were fully sold out) after we turned in our leased cars and were waiting for our new cars and each needed a car for about 11 days. The staff at the Gower location go beyond for the customers. They are really wonderful. They asked us what cars were we driving before (Lexus SUV and a Prius) because they wanted to match us with cars similar to our previous driving experiences! I rented twice from this location and the first time was great. I was able to call ahead to find out what SUVs were available before coming in and was able to choose an Audi that I liked. Returned the car and paid the upgrade fee - very easy and the woman I dealt with was great. Two weeks later I called and the guy would not tell me what was available and told me to just come in to find out. Why couldn't he look at the computer or out the window like the last agent instead of being so lazy and unhelpful? As many others noted this is a common practice with Enterprise and it would have prevented a lot of the poor reviews but they don't want to change the practice for some reason. read more

I rented a car here. I spent about $65 but the service I got was worth way more. The pick up and return each took about 5 minutes. But the attention to detail was great. They even offered me a ride to Universal after my Uber was delayed. It was wonderful and I would rent here again in lieu of airport considering prices are at least 40% less. read more

I have been renting with Enterprise since college, and they have always exceeded my expectations. It's one of the few companies that has remained consistent with their customer service. This Hollywood branch is no different. Smooth experience from pick-up to drive-off. Clean location, efficient and attentive staff, and good value. The complimentary hand wipes in the vehicle are a nice touch, especially in these times. Special mention to Brie, Jenna, Ramon, and the person who picked me up from home whose name I didn't get. What a hot pile of garbage! Rented 2 vans on a Friday with explicit phone and email confirmation for pickup Monday for our staff field trip. Arrived Monday and NO vans were even there!! Truly UNBELIEVABLE. We were then given a Tahoe (WITH NO GAS!) to go pick up ONE of the vans in Burbank! Ruined our entire morning missing team building reservations for our staff. You could go to the many car rental places in Hollywood and get a car. But this place really delivers a quality experience from first to last interaction. The customer service is beyond top notch and efficient. And there is also a wonderful feeling of care,concern and interest in getting you the best options. In this city, its a constant mix of all types of attitudes and meeting peoples demands. Yet, this location never gives an okay experience. Top notch. Everytime Ive been treated with the utmost respect, positive conversation and efficient service. For the last few months, the gentleman Josh and the young lady Mikayla have been who I've interacted with and Im very grateful for them being there. Try to go to a different enterprise these people are just inept especially the manager Roy he does not know math and they do unauthorized charges to your card with ridiculous reasons that was not specified while you still have the vehicle. Called me one day to let me know it was extended. The other day left a voicemail harassing me to return the car one day then the next calling me to let me know it was extended. The next day over charge my card the ineptitude of the whole team is incredible. As manager you should let me talk instead of tell me while i talk you stop me and say "can i speak can I speak" Roy is a funny guy he probably has personal issues I am so sorry for him. Yesterday I booked a car, for 3:30 pm, they charged me in advance, charged my card and did not have the car available, after the charge, one of the attendants offered me a more expensive car, I said I wanted the car The reserve car, when the card arrived 15 minutes late, was dirty, with a broken backlight. These people are incredible! I've rented from them twice and have had great experiences both times. The first time was a couple years ago when I had reservations for a rental out of the Burbank airport to drive to a wedding that night in Big Sur and the rental fell through. These guys came thru last minute with a great vehicle and surprisingly decent rates considering it was same day. The second time was last month when I was involved in a car accident where I was rear ended and they fought with insurance for me to give me a vehicle similar to mine (insurance was only trying to pay for a compact car when I drive a Mercedes). If I ever need a rental again this will definitely be my go to and I'll for sure be recommending them to anyone local moving forward! And special shout out to Patrick the manager who saved my bottle of wine from a trip to Solvang that somehow got left behind and he kept it in lost and found for us! read more

After a recent car accident, this was the car rental shop in the "all in one" Geico approved garage I went to. I probably have spent more time working out the rental car details - with more to come since I have some odd charges I don't understand that have appeared on my credit card - then I did working with the insurance company and the collision repair company combined. Really. I didn't love the car I was offered when I dropped off my damaged car for repairs - but I had no choice... there was ONE car for me. That's it. With no navigation, no satellite radio... and with my insurance, I had $50 per day rental coverage. So I was driving a bare bones POS when I really was entitled to something much nicer. I was told I could "call the main office in a few days and try to get something nicer". The office servicing my rental was the Hollywood branch. Once it became clear that the repairs for my car would be more than a week and possibly as long as two weeks, I called Enterprise (at the number listed above) and asked for two things: 1. A better car with navigation system 2. To remove the additional daily insurance charges as I didn't that insurance and felt pretty pressured to add it when I picked up the car - but paying that charge daily for more than a week is crazy. I was refused on both requests. I was told that "we don't frequently get cars with navigation systems in here..." so that was a no go. They wouldn't do anything to facilitate that. And I was also told that they could remove and stop charging me for the unnecessary insurance ONLY if I came into the location. WHAT? When I dropped off the car, a very friendly young man asked me how things went, and I told him honestly that I wasn't very pleased with the service I'd received. I was told that I'd get a $96 credit (that hasn't happened) but I notice that I've been charged $250 - for what should have been covered by my insurance. So I'm not happy and I don't fully understand all these charges. I also don't understand why I couldn't get a car I was HAPPY with - was it because I was an insurance customer? I mean, still - they're paying you, right?! Is it Enterprise policy to just flat out tell a customer that you can't help me get what I want? The entire car accident/repair thing was stressful but honestly, the car rental part of the experience was the most unpleasant. I wouldn't use this Enterprise location again. I like being treated like a valued customer - meaning my time is respected and my requests are met with a willingness to assist. Didn't happen here. read more

Having tried to find rental car within my insurance coverage of $40 per day since 8 am, I almost gave up - most Enterprise branches in LA had no vehicles except a pick up truck or 2 "luxury" cars at $65 and up. After going through AI degraded call protocol, I took Uber with an ex Marine to my dentist, did grocery shopping at Ralph's and tried calling the Enterprise branch on Gower Street in Hollywood. in 4 minutes Patrick picked me up loaded my bags and took me to his the Gower branch. But they too did not have a small SUV but Josh , the mercurial Branch manager brought one from another location and had it ready in half an hour. I felt in the presence of miracle makers!
