This turned out to be so much cheaper than taking an Uber and we had the freedom to explore and go places whenever we wanted. The counter where we picked up our rental car was slow and there were three separate lines that went to the same counter. This ended up causing a lot of confusion and frustration. The car drop-off was very easy and took only a few minutes. We got to choose from a variety of cars. The reservation matched the car that we drove off in. The car was clean and comfortable. I would rent from Alamo Rent A Car again.

They are also fairly close to Ft Sam Houston. Andrew, was awesome and very helpful getting us through it all; especially the third time, because USAA was not getting back to me about an authorization. Enzo and Chris were also very helpful, especially with picking us up and dropping us off a lot. The cars were very clean and nice and the storefront well kept. Overall it's been a great experience and we are getting ready to rent a 4th vehicle with them, to drive back to Florida, since our car won't be ready anytime soon.

Both times have been over a 45 minute wait to get the car AFTER check-in. Simply not acceptable. I don't reserve a car with the intent to sit in the waiting room for up to an hour for a car to be brought to me. I won't be renting from here again. But, the app that it heavily suggested for me to download didn't have my reservation. So when we got to San Antonio the agent tells me that he can't find my reservation that i have already paid for. Buttery credited it back and charged me an extra $100 for the same reservation and also double charged my credit card. When calling in they say there is nothing we can do. So I am doing what I can, I disputed the charge on my credit card and also took off the app because why use something that is broken. So what out everyone for Avis they will try to steal your money

The day I dropped off my car for repairs an Enterprise driver was there within five minutes to take me to this location where I submitted my deposit, signed all forms, and I was in my temporary car within ten minutes. Staff was helpful and efficient, when insurance submitted a form that they would not pay for one additional day (before contacting me smh) one of the employees contacted me immediately to make sure I was aware and advice that I contact insurance to ask for an extension. If that car is unavailable, I do not want to be charged extra for a vehicle I did not ask for, nor do I want suggestions for a smaller vehicle that does not meet my needs. When I initially received mid size SUV, the radio and screen were not functional. I believe I should have received a discount for this inconvenience, especially since the alternative vehicle was not clean/washed. However, due to my urgency, I accepted it. I also noticed that I was charged extra for fuel without my consent. I prefer to refuel the car myself and did so at the exact level that was given to me (3/4 of a tank). Despite these issues during my visit on 4/4, at the St. Mary's location, I appreciate the flexibility I was given to change my return date to a different location without extra charges. The pros were that picking up the vehicle was quick and there wasn't a long line.

I was at the RV camp on base @ 3 or 4 miles away from the office. Around 0900-0930, I called the office and I asked to be picked up, they said it was busy and they would call back. I was told I would be picked up and an hour or two. I was OK with that, they said they would call me at the cell phone number I left them and we were talking on.. I called them 3 hours later, as I was walking to their office, and was told they had been trying to call me. They called my home phone in CA. At this time I was told they were closing for lunch and they would come by and pick me up on their way back to the office in about 2 hours. They were late yet again.. Poor planning on my part, I guess. I finally got the rental car at 1530 The entire day wasted. When I returned the car I couldn't get a receipt because the printer was broke. Very poor operation at best.

I had left my phone, unbeknownst to me, at the welcome booth and was looking all over for it while we were waiting to exit and another team member(sry didn't catch his name) ran it over to us and did so with a smile. Really felt like it was above and beyond as they were busy with other customers. Upon returning the car, Jasmine, Jeff, Tyler and another man that I didn't catch the name of, were courteous, helpful and again going above and beyond, helped me with the second leg of my journey. For a work portion I had rented a different level car (cheaper for my company). I asked how much it would be to keep the car I currently had. I was told that they would allow me to use the current car at the price I had agreed to for the lower model. It's probably not a big deal to them, but not having to move all of our stuff and keeping the car that we were enjoying made a huge impact on us. Thanks SAT team. You did a phenomenal job.

I had a free rental day from points, leaving me a balance of $10 & some change. On check-in, (which I couldn't do online this time for some reason), the friendly agent confirmed the free day, amount in taxes, rental times, car type & insurance info. Driver's license & credit card on file, no additional deposit charged. I booked directly with enterprise online. We headed to the lot & were directed to our car with the keys inside, proceeded to the gate where the id was checked and we were on our way - total 10min. The car was as expected... actually, scratch that. We weren't expecting heated seats & were greeted with a toasty surprise when we hopped in on this uncharacteristically chilly day in TX. Return signage was clear & it was easy to navigate. It was the first time we've had the car inspected with reflective disks on return to check for hidden hood dings.. They must take damages seriously. We were clear though, so, all good in my book. Email rcpt was in my box by the time we hit the gate. Well worth $10 for a 24hr visit to my hometown!
