    Due and promised a refund , lied to by customer service at least 3 times. I would never consider doing business with them!

I didn't want an SUV so I took the Malibu that needed an oil change. After having it from Thurs till Monday I called and asked if it would be cheaper to keep it for a week since they were charging me 88.50 a day. The girl said yes it would only be 262.00 for the week so I said oh good then I'll keep it for the week and thanked her. When I went to return the car the guy I rented it from was really mean to me saying I signed a contract for 535 for the week. I never signed a contract for a week only a day to day. He kept coming at me even when I said stop. He said our prices change weekly. If I signed another contract it would be 262 for the week. Which made no sense to me. I've dealt with this office before and everyone has been really nice except this guy. I believe his name is Josh. I filed a complaint with the company and am fighting the charge with my credit card company. If you need to rent a vehicle I do not recommend this office!

That person for me today at Hertz (Madison Heights, MI) was Desmond, who displayed kindness, professionalism, and a hard work ethic. I've been a Presidential Circle member of Hertz for quite some time and usually go to another location closer to my home, but needing a same-day reservation my location understandably didn't have any availability. When I arrived to the Madison Heights location I noticed their were two separate guests in seats and that Desmond was a one man band running from the back prepping cars to the front where he quickly greeted me and let me know that that these two guests were ahead of me and that if I had a seat, he'll get to me as soon as he could. Now normally as a president circle I typically just grab keys and go. But as oddly as this statement may seem, I found true enjoyment watching how Desmond conducted himself in what was a pressured situation for this man. He never once broke a sweat or ever seemed overwhelmed as he was running from the back washing cars, then to the front when he heard the door open to great a guest with a courtesy and a welcoming. Even though Desmond was doing the work of two people, he moved expeditiously while keeping guests informed of his progress. Which is something I value from service. I rather be informed and given honesty to the agent's situation, then be in the dark and feel I'm given the runaround. As Desmond advanced through the guests prior to me, getting their car prepared and sitting with them through the booking process. He maintained this upbeat demeanor and spoke with energy the entire time and never once showed tiredness or frustration from juggling all these tasks he had going on. Again, a true display of professionalism!!!!!!! Even a guest came in who had to be informed that they're completely booked, and no more vehicles are available. Desmond did this with grace and empathy with this guest who seemed he was in a desperate need to travel that evening, offering him an EV vehicle (which didn't have the milage range) and alternate Hertz locations that possibly could accommodate a last-minute rental. As I was being provided my keys and before actually knowing this agents name. I asked him for his business card, informing him that I wanted to leave a review of him. Surprisingly, he did not have his own business card, as he had the traits of being the manager of this location by the actions he displayed. Luckily for me he wrote his name on the back of his managers business card, who I'll be reaching out directly to with this review. You know, too often we dwell on the negative times we experience and quick to write about them. However, I also enjoy those times I get to write about someone who thoroughly impressed me, who exemplifies the meaning of service. Thank-you Desmond, my local Hertz is very good but I just may of found a new location.

The staff, top to bottom, is knowledgeable, friendly, and customer oriented. You can get in and out in a few minutes, never more than five, and will always be pleased with the service. I've used them for local rentals exclusively in the last couple years, and highly recommend them - you will not be sorry. (As an aside, the previous staff, several years ago, was abismal and I avoided this oiffice in the past because there was always a confrontation, they lost my reservation, didn't have any cars, etc.)

I went with the representative and documented all of the dents observed on the car before I left the lot.. the representative did not provide me with any record of their vehicle inspection. I dropped the car off in Ohio the next day without incident. Two months later, a rep from corporate is calling me, accusing me of causing the damage on the rental car, which I clearly did not do. both Avis corporate and this Avis site have been extremely unhelpful and uncooperative and sharing any of the vehicle inspection records associated with my rental that would clearly show that I do not cause any of the damage that they accused me of being very aware of renting from this Avis they clearly do not care about your customer satisfaction, and you can be charged a large repair bill for damages that you did not do. Stay away unless you want a horrible customer experience

    DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE FOR ANY SPECIAL OCCASIONS!…read more I made my reservation with Enterprise Exotic Car Collection in Troy on 3/7/26 for my little brother's prom on 5/27/26. I reserved the vehicle class "Mercedes GLE, BMW X5, or similar." To make sure everything was set, I even called on Saturday 5/23/26 to confirm the Mercedes GLE was still available and in stock. When I arrived at 12 PM to pick up the vehicle, the location was completely chaotic. There were customers everywhere and an extremely long wait. After finally being assisted, I was told the Mercedes GLE was no longer available because vehicles are given out on a "first come, first served" basis. At that point, I questioned what the purpose of making a reservation months in advance was, especially after calling ahead to confirm availability. The only similar vehicle my little brother liked was a BMW, so we agreed to take that instead. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, the representative came back and told us someone had lost the keys to the BMW, so that vehicle was unavailable as well. We were then told there was a BMW available at the Southfield location. We drove from Troy to Southfield only to arrive and be told they did NOT have a BMW available and had no idea why we were sent there. At no point did anyone from the Troy or Southfield locations offer a manager, meaningful assistance, accountability, or any solution for the inconvenience and poor handling of the situation. I even called the Eastpointe location myself to explain everything. Although they stated they would escalate the issue to a manager, I never received a follow-up phone call. Enterprise completely ruined my little brother's prom day experience. Because of all the waiting, confusion, and driving between locations, the entire day ran behind schedule. I used to rent from Enterprise frequently, but after this experience, I will never rent from Enterprise again.
