If I could give this location a zero I would. I rented a Malibu for what a thought would only be a couple days because my car was in for repair. The guy at first seemed nice but didn't want to rent the car to me because he said it needed an oil change and the other Malibu smelled. I didn't want an SUV so I took the Malibu that needed an oil change. After having it from Thurs till Monday I called and asked if it would be cheaper to keep it for a week since they were charging me 88.50 a day. The girl said yes it would only be 262.00 for the week so I said oh good then I'll keep it for the week and thanked her. When I went to return the car the guy I rented it from was really mean to me saying I signed a contract for 535 for the week. I never signed a contract for a week only a day to day. He kept coming at me even when I said stop. He said our prices change weekly. If I signed another contract it would be 262 for the week. Which made no sense to me. I've dealt with this office before and everyone has been really nice except this guy. I believe his name is Josh. I filed a complaint with the company and am fighting the charge with my credit card company. If you need to rent a vehicle I do not recommend this office! read more

Had to come here as this was where Action Collision (car is at the shop) dropped me off for a rental. Enterprise has pick up/drop off service as well. Since the insurance claim was covering it, I needed to keep under $30 a day. They were able to stick to that price with all fees etc. I really appreciate that. Ended up with a Ford Focus though when I could've got one of their 2 2017 Elantra's. Both of those vehicles needed oil changes, but I had the option to pay for it (not sure if they would've reimbursed). Anyway, just wish they had a bigger selection of cars. Dropping of the car was quick and easy. They apparently have a drop off key box, but from what I understood is that they would still charge you an extra day for doing that (since they check the box in the morning). Something to be mindful about. All the gentlemen at the counter were sweet and helpful. Recommend them if you just need a car to get from A to B otherwise call and check their car selection in advance if you care. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: They close at 12pm(noon) on Saturdays so make sure you come early to drop off the car! Apparently they get alot of people coming in last minute. They also have no place for you to park your car. Either have someone drop you off, or take advantage of their shuttle service. read more

We were going to rent a car for 12 days, and they quoted us $890. When we went to go pick it up, they asked us where were we going to drive it to. We said Florida, and they said that that means the price would go up to $1118! What the fudge?? Why didn't you ask us where we were going before you quoted us the 890? What does it matter where we drive it? So my dad just went down the street to the Avis inside Sears, and they quoted us around $900 as well, but when we said what if we take it to Florida, they said "Go ahead!" I don't know what kind of crap they are trying to pull at Enterprise, but we won't be back here. I was going to give this place 1 star, but when I visited here a few months ago, the guy was really nice. I guess demeanor doesn't always translate to good customer service though. read more

Well here we go again, four months later I am getting hit with charges from Enterprise. Apparently my original review did absolutely nothing. I have been round and round with this company since February and have seen unexplained and unauthorized charges hitting my American Express account, AAA is now sending me letters and paying claims that I did not authorize, and I am getting duplicate bills for $300+ in the mail. By far the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my life, and I work in corporate. Calling back the local office today to get in touch with an area manager, I sat on hold for over 10 minutes and then given a blanket number for "Tony" the manager with no extension, last name, or any other information. I don't understand the problem the other folks have had with this location. They were fast (like 15 minutes fast), extremely accommodating (we had a few issues with the whole paid-off bill thing) and above all, extremely polite people. I don't think the other reviewers really understood the entire Enterprise business model, and it's really silly to make a business location have one and a half stars for something that was maybe the consumer oversight. I'm in the service industry and I have zero issues with how they provided their services to us. If you have a problem with company policies, take it up elsewhere. This is my favorite place for car rental. I have been renting from Enterprise for the past 2 years and so far they have the greatest customer service. They keep following up with their customers to make sure they are not having any issues with the rented car. When picking up my car it was hectic. But hey things happen. Especially when everyone decided a to drop off or pick up around 5 pm. It was a long wait. But I was tended to as my turn came. I was also treated with respect. And the car they rented me was very clean. The day I dropped off the rental it was quick. The person that helped me before remembered us and apologized. It's great to see good customer service where everyone is treated well and with respect. I would go back if I need another rental. read more

We have been Emerald Club members for years. We had advance reservations for a car over Easter weekend. Upon arriving at the Madison Hts., MI location we were told all vehicles were gone. We then used the reservation center to reserve another vehicle at the Ferndale, MI location. Same story. The Ferndale employees told us everything was gone and reservations were useless. 1. What f**king use is your reservation center if the cars are already all gone? 2. The reservations should connect directly to the actual locations where they can physically confirm that cars are available. We are beyond disappointed with the service we DID NOT receive. We spent time, gas, and energy chasing ghost vehicles. Enterprise is now off our list of providers. read more

You are a joke. I was walking my dog and I saw two of your employees speeding down the subdivision and going into the strip mall across the street in the wrong way and parked a car in there. Then another one parked the opposite way. Why do you have employees that don't know how to drive working with cars? The lady in charge in Madison heights branch is unprofessional and does not have proper communication skills in dealing with customers, she has wasted my time with loads of excuses in order not to rent a car while my booking was confirmed thru the call center. This location could not have been more helpful! I reserved a rental late one Wed nite online after my car 'blew out' on my way home from work. Although the instructions on the website said I had to call 24 hours ahead of time for a pickup, I tried sending an email w/my request. When I checked in the next am, they explained to me that online reservations go to a call center, not to their location, so they did not receive my pickup request. Nevertheless, Adam was in front of my home within 15 minutes, so that I could get my daughter to school & myself to work on time. Adam was happy & charming, even at 8am (which I am not!) Lol. The manager of the location called me the next day to make sure we were happy and everything was going well. THE EPITOME OF GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will rent here again and often. read more

The staff at Enterprise rental in Madison Heights were FANTASTIC! We rented a car for 2 weeks and the moment we walked in the door to return the car the gentleman remembered our names and why we had to rent a car. Very friendly and we will return to that location everytime we need a car. read more

The sales guy was a real scam artist. He didn't give me an option for the additional $13.99/day insurance just told me I didn't need the "upgraded insurance". Also when I returned it after 8 hours because he scammed me to boost his sales numbers they did not offer to remove the insurance for the day. When I told the sales guy why i was returning it so quickly he said "of course you had an option" and then he never spoke to me again and was very rude. I would never go to this place and will make sure no one I know goes there either. read more

I had rented a car at the john r Madison heights location. i was helped by amber. for a 4 day car rental i was assured that my initial charge was going to be $700 at the start, and it was. but i was also told that my rental cost was only $486 from daily charges. the other $200 was a holding fee which would be returned to me so long as the car was returned clean. i was also offered to match the gas in the tank, or to pay their gas rate of $2.26 per gal if i returned the rental with a low fuel level. this rate matches what was at the pump so i chose to match the gas level my self. given this info; i had trusted my customer service rep knew what she was talking about, so i based the rest of my vacation financials on this info. knowing i would return the rental clean, and would receive that $200 cleaning deposit back. on the date of return i was helped by a gentleman. the rental was freshly washed, vacuumed, and wiped down, with the gas line past what i had started out with. i was expecting to only be charged the $486 like promised and receive my $200 deposit back. however upon checkout i was told my total was going to be $612. shocked and angry i had asked him why my cost was so high. he told me it was because of the daily charges. so i did the math on it and the second price (much higher then what i was told initially) was in fact, the correct amount. but i had also noticed the price they charge for gas per gal was $3.31. not $2.26. perhaps the total i was told on day one was a hiccup and she may have forgot to add a day, but the initial gas price i was told was completely off as well. if you rent from them; i do highly recommend that you do your own math on the daily charges, before basing any financial hardship you may have for the rest of your trip. since i WAS initially charged $700 with the holding fee and had to swipe my card; i don't understand how their system charged a $200 holding fee. i will have to re-cap my credit card charges for the past week to assure that i received back the rest of my money, and also that i was not double charged for my rental. read more
