DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE FOR ANY SPECIAL OCCASIONS! I made my reservation with Enterprise Exotic Car Collection in Troy on 3/7/26 for my little brother's prom on 5/27/26. I reserved the vehicle class "Mercedes GLE, BMW X5, or similar." To make sure everything was set, I even called on Saturday 5/23/26 to confirm the Mercedes GLE was still available and in stock. When I arrived at 12 PM to pick up the vehicle, the location was completely chaotic. There were customers everywhere and an extremely long wait. After finally being assisted, I was told the Mercedes GLE was no longer available because vehicles are given out on a "first come, first served" basis. At that point, I questioned what the purpose of making a reservation months in advance was, especially after calling ahead to confirm availability. The only similar vehicle my little brother liked was a BMW, so we agreed to take that instead. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, the representative came back and told us someone had lost the keys to the BMW, so that vehicle was unavailable as well. We were then told there was a BMW available at the Southfield location. We drove from Troy to Southfield only to arrive and be told they did NOT have a BMW available and had no idea why we were sent there. At no point did anyone from the Troy or Southfield locations offer a manager, meaningful assistance, accountability, or any solution for the inconvenience and poor handling of the situation. I even called the Eastpointe location myself to explain everything. Although they stated they would escalate the issue to a manager, I never received a follow-up phone call. Enterprise completely ruined my little brother's prom day experience. Because of all the waiting, confusion, and driving between locations, the entire day ran behind schedule. I used to rent from Enterprise frequently, but after this experience, I will never rent from Enterprise again. read more

Almost every time we've been given a choice of vehicle within the class, or high quality minivans that fit the bill. Checking in and out is always courteous even when there's a line. I WAS PROFILED AND DISRESPECTED AS A TRANSGENDER WOMAN AND MEMBER OF THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY BY ENTERPRISE !!! I have rented from Enterprise on numerous occasions over the past several years. Yesterday I went to pick up a rental car from the Waterford Michigan location and was disrespected because I am a transgender. I was told that my appearance, address, and driver's license didn't match my profile, yet I have maintained my appearance, identity, identification, and address for the past several years and rented from Enterprise on numerous occasions with no issues. I was asked to provide unusual proofs of identity and residency that had never been requested in the past and that nobody would likely be carrying with them when they rent a car (such as Utility Bills). I explained that I had never been treated this way or asked for such unusual pieces of identification at Enterprise or any other establishment and had rented numerous times over the past several years at that location and the Auburn Hills location. I expressed that nobody caries utility bills with them, and even offering my drivers license, social security, and items with my name and address, such as vehicle registration, car insurance, medical insurance, AAA card, and bank account apps, all with my name and address, I was continually told none of that would be sufficient without utility bills, and was turned down without being provided a vehicle. I then reserved a vehicle at the Auburn Hills Michigan location, and was treated with even greater disrespect when I went there, with the Enterprise representative very coincidentally using the exact same statements. I am quite certain, based on being treated the same way at both locations, that the representative at the Waterford location called the Auburn Hills location and they CONSPIRED TO CONTINUE THEIR DISCRIMINATION. For almost 3 years, I have been doing home care for my 84 year old mother who suffers from bone cancer, and just as the previous times I rented a vehicle over the past few years, it w because I need a vehicle so that I can tend to her needs and get her to doctor appointments when our vehicle is in for repairs and service. THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED AS A TRANSGENDER FROM ENTERPRISE WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TO ENDURE; IT WAS UNEXCUSEABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL. read more

Welllllll I would've given this location 5 stars only because of Johnny, he was so very attentive, apologetic, professional and tenacious about getting us our rental vehicle. He went above & beyond Great customer service. But the Enterprise system & place was just Not supporting his efforts! We finally got a vehicle; not the one we reserved a month ago. Plus the wait for A vehicle once we arrived was immensely l-o-n-g! We will have to rent elsewhere next time but we hope there's a Johnny at the next place. We used to go to the Enterprise on Woodward in Royal Oak because it was closest to our home, and there used to be a guy there that was great. That all has changed over the last couple of years. Because the service there was so awful we started using the Enterprise in Troy. Have to tell you, have been quite pleased with the service and their ability to communicate any issues (versus zero communication from the Royal Oak location). The cars have always been very clean and well taken care of. Picking up and dropping off is easy. Always liked Enterprise and was worried we would have to find another rental company because of the customer service at the other nearby location, but not so. Keep up the great work! read more

I just rented a car for a few days while my vehicle had service. The car they gave me was in great condition and didn't smelled like cannabis! Last time I rented a car for the Grosse Pointe Enterprise, it reeked of cannibas. Not everyone wants to smell that!! The staff were very nice and asked about my day and plans. I'm in the service industry and I think it goes a long way when people don't just feel like a number and a a personable touch is provided. Even dropping off my car was effortless! I realized when I got home I left my garage door opener in the rental. The assistant manager texted me to thank me for choosing them. I texted back about what I left in the car but they were gone for the day. I planned to call when they opened but to my surprise, I already had a text that it was found and waiting for me to pick up! The Maplelawn Enterprise allowed me to turn the mundane car rental experience into dreams come true that I didn't even know I had. Treat Yo Self and ALWAYS ask what's the sweetest thing you can get. My car got wrecked and with the help of my insurance company I picked this location to get a car. 1. Your insurance company gets you insane buy up rates to drive sweet cars 2. Spend the 50/day additional to rip a Maserati around or $100/day for a Navigator(way better than Escalade)! For the potential month your car will be repaired. You won't regret it! My husband and I rented a vehicle for a weekend soccer tournament. NEVER again from this location. the car reeked of cigarette smoke and we had to buy air freshener 1 hour into to trip after getting headaches. i believe the charge people 250.00 to clean vehicles that have been smoked in. it's a SCAM because the obviously don't clean them. They also sent us out with 1/2 tank of gas and told us to return it with the same amount and THEN charged us 100.00 EXTRA dollars to fill up the tank. Most unprofessional poorly run rental house i've been to in 30 years of business/leisure renting. DONT go here. AVOID at ALL costs. read more

This particular enterprise pick and choose who they want to accommodate. The manager of this store in 2020 really had it out for me. Before the actual incident stated below. It was always a problem with ME renting at this location when the manager was around. No one could understand her vendettas including me. When she was there I could only get the cars she wanted me to have everything was always "unavailable". but when she wasn't there was no issues, I could sometimes pick the car I wanted to drive. The other associates were super polite and great especially when she wasn't around. The issue she couldn't wait to happen! One day I couldn't turn my car in on time, my card had fraud alerts, so I told her (Chelsea E Meador) that I would come put another card on file. She to extreme measures of putting me on the do not rent list. I guess she didn't like that I was asking her why she would do those extreme measures instead of trying to resolve with me 1St. She also wrote a bogus report stating that I was hostile. I was NOT hostile or was I considered hostile because I'm African American? Fast forward to today, I had to do an insurance claim on my car. Farmers insurance only rents through enterprise. Had very bad experience booked a truck for $521 total I went to pick it up they didn't have it they downsized me to a Chevy equinox with bad alignment need oil change & some other issues I had to drive from MI to Florida due to shortage in cars due to Hurricane IAN anyway I called this company many times about the car then they agree to exchange it I had to drive from Tampa to Orlando to get one . I return the car same day but few hrs later than the agreement & because the office close at 5pm I had to drop the keys in the box that's where my experience ended . I NEVER GET A CALL FROM THEM TELLING ME THEY RECEIVE IT ... A FEEDBACK FOR EXAMPLE, HOW WAS MY EXPERIENCE...OR ANYTHING FOLLOW UP FROM THEM .. Not only that a week later I looked at my cc statement & see they charged me $744 I called them next day to dispute he was careless :we can't do anything since u dropped the keys in the box means that's another day charge.. & all the BS you don't wanna hear!!! I asked him to talk to his manager oh my manager is not available you can email her ...... I was in Troy on business and needed a rental for a day. I called a day ahead because I thought I might arrive 10 or so minutes after closing. The associate I spoke with (I believe his name was Jason) was very friendly and stated to give the place a call if I might be running late. I rented a small Chevy (can't recall the model...), which was very clean inside. Although I declined when they tried to sell me on the dealership insurance, they did not pressure me so that was refreshing. The lot is particularly small and seems a little cramped (there really wasn't anywhere to park when you return the rental if there is another party trying to rent a car). Aside from that, this location was great! I highly recommend this company of you are renting a car in the area! read more

OK, all rentals can be dubious, SKIP this location!!! Very nice lady checked us out, we rented a 15 passenger van for 4 hrs, A contentious man checked us in and gave my wife a song and dance about a "ding" on top of this huge van that no one inspected the top of. Maybe it was adding the ($30) insurance, which must be 1/3 of their revenue stream, but saying, "luckily you have the insurance or I'd have to have an internal discussion" (with the lady who checked us out, standing next to him BTW) was an unnecessarily aggressive cheap shot. I've been renting cars from the Enterprise Troy location since 2005 and today will be the last time I will be renting cars from Enterprise. So ever since Enterprise implemented the "we'll pick you up/drop you home" policy, I have been using that when I return the car rental and then have them take me back home (10 min drive from Enterprise in Troy to my home). When I went to return my rental car this morning and Enterprise asked me if I needed a ride somewhere, I asked if they could take me back home which is what they have done at least 8 times since I started using Enterprise. Well they told me today that my home is out of their range and said they couldn't drive me home. I told them that they were able to take me home several times in the past and this was one of the reasons I use Enterprise. The manager asked me when was the last time I rented with them and told them back in March (4 months ago) and during that time they took me back home. I even pointed out the driver that was there who drove me home last time and how he told me stories about how he drove customers from their Troy location to the airport (45 min drive) and even from the Troy location all the way to Grand Rapids 2.5 hour drive). They still told me that they couldn't drive me back home because it was too far. The farthest they could take me was to a friend's house that was "within" their range and is only a 4 minute drive to my house). I got dropped off there and my wife had to come pick me up from their place. WHAT AN INCONVENIENCE!!! I don't know what type of changes they made within these last 4 months or if they just had an issue with me but this will be my last time using Enterprise. read more

I wanted to share my experience with Enterprise to warn others about what they are in for. I went in this past Saturday looking to rent a car for the weekend.My car was getting repaired and would be ready on Monday. The first thing I'm asked is for a credit card and electric bill. I don't know about you but I do not carry electric bills with me. Also, when you go to the Enterprise website there is nothing saying you need an electric bill to rent a car. I told the rep I don't have an electric bill and I use debit cards to pay for things. Most if not all debit cards can be used as credit cards. So I didn't think there would be a problem. However, the rep would not give me a car for the weekend because of this issue. NEWS FLASH TO ENTERPRISE, most people use debit cards to pay for things. After reading things online, Enterprise and other car rental places don't accept debit cards because they want to charge additional fees that debit cards may reject and they view their customers as a credit risk if you don't have a credit card. I'm just trying to rent a car for 2 days and not trying to get documents from the FBI. I have never had issues using my debit card as a credit card so this policy does not make a lot of sense. If someone did have payment issues Enterprise has the person's license with their address info. So they could call the police or get a collection agency to get payment. Enterprise should have more faith in their customers making the final payment when the rental car is returned. Just so you know Enterprise my credit rating is close to 800 which is really good. Also, I did use a debit card at another Enterprise location and no problems at all. I have been in customer service all long time and sometimes you have to use common sense instead of going by what the company manual says or you will lose customers. Not only did I have issues the day I tried to rent a car another customer had the same issues. THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. I WILL NEVER GO TO ENTERPRISE TO RENT A CAR AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM AS A QUALITY RENTAL CAR BUSINESS. read more

They didn't have my car for me when I arrived, again. I had to wait while they went and fetched one from down the street. The inside windshield was filthy. The next day, the tire pressure light went on. When I mentioned this at the desk, they told me they don't check air pressure in the tires unless the light is on at the time of delivery. The waiting room was not clean. They offer free coffee and water but the top of the refrigerator was very dirty. read more

I only have one complaint, when I got the car, it smelled like cigars and weed as it appeared by the license plate it was brought cross country.
