Some of the rules not being followed are no motorized wheels such as mopeds, ATVs, GOLF CARTS etc., no rugs or mats, and quite times. Also, the store is rarely open during the week so don't expect anyone to be there when you arrive. Another rule indicating there are fees for guests visiting, but don't worry about it because the store is RARELY ever open. Just let your guests through when they get there. The website states that they have kayaks, banana boats, row boats, and paddle boats for rent. We saw two kayaks out behind the store, but that was it. The sites are small and not well marked. We watched a bigger rig struggle getting into their site because there was already somebody on both sides of them. From what we saw, no personnel are ever going around on a golf cart seeing how things are going. The bathhouse is in dire need of upgrades, and the splash pad is run down. It only runs when the temperature is 85 degrees or higher. It just feels like the owners are raking in the money but not concerned with day-to-day operations.

The young woman selling the tickets never indicated the Dixie would not be running that night. We learned from others that the Dixie was down, had only made the 2:00 p.m. Sunday trip, and needed repairs. This girl knew the Dixie was not running and sold us tickets for a ride she knew was not happening on Sunday. She told us to return the following day for a ride. On Monday we were told the Dixie was still not repaired just before the ride was to sail. A man was now selling tickets to people and not telling them the Dixie would not be moving either. When anyone objects they are told, "We don't give refunds." Then WHY are you selling tickets for trips that do not exist? We were told to return Tuesday. This time the young woman was selling tickets to customers and not telling them there would be no rides on Tuesday as the Dixie was still down. Frankly, this is fraud selling tickets to ride a sternwheeler that is not working and then refusing to refund consumers' money. We will not be returning to North Webster so our tickets are worthless. The young woman still wanted to sell me another set of tickets Tuesday night until I told her, "You know full-well that boat is not going anywhere." She muttered, "Oh, I forgot." Apparently, it is their job to sell tickets to anyone walking through the door while knowing the boat won't be running. Tell me what you would call this--a scam, fraud, theft? Do not purchase tickets until you see people walking onto the Dixie because you will be losing your money if the ship needs repairs, unless you happen to live in the immediate area of the Dixie. Refunds should be mandatory when the ship is broken and cannot be repaired for days. The sternwheeler was still not running on Wednesday, July 10 yet tickets were being sold to "Ride the Dixie" on that day too. Hmmmmm! I guess they think we are all "suckers" because they stick us with tickets and keep the money.

Coolest place I visited while in Indiana!…read more I took a tour of the Amish Acres and got to see how the Amish live and learned about their history! Walked through all there cute shops and bought some chocolate, beef jerky, jams and cheese for the road. They have there own sweet shop where they make fresh fudge, meat shop with their own beef jerky and freshly made cheeses, a variety of jams and jellies. I saw an Amish fellow transporting some individuals in his wagon/buggy and a peacock just wondering around the parking lot. I was very happy with my experience!

Starting with the positives: The resort staff are wonderful, helpful, and accommodating. We forgot a toothbrush and they helped us locate one in their small store next to the front desk. Check-in was simple and finding our room was a breeze. The hotel is very long so expect to get your steps in! As far as the wedding goes, the staff were so kind and made my family member feel at ease for their big day. They have both an inside and outside venue so getting the chance to choose was also nice. The not so positives: the food we were served was okay. The morning breakfast was pretty standard but I could have gone without the eggs. It was the underbaked pizza that really did it for us. I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Twice while we were there we ended up ordering food in. The exterior of the resort needs a serious updating. Pulling into the hotel area had me a bit worried. Another reviewer mentioned it looked like a nursing home and they aren't wrong. The parking lot is in bad shape, landscaping is dead, sidewalks are broken and some of the cabins were boarded up. The rooms were comfortable but the decor and technology was dated. See photos. I believe this resort is very golf focused and could truly use a sprucing up. Thankfully the wedding was beautiful and service was great. No complaints there.

We booked a group site several weeks prior to arrival; when we arrived- we found several campers on the site(s) that we requested, confirmed, and booked (via phone). So, upon arrival it was escalated to staff (owners) - that others were on our sites... and we were told, "group sites are a first come first serve? So much for "Group Site" and thinking that's what you're going to get... Per the website it states - call and request for group sites and the sites requesting. It's okay - you can be confused as we were too. Also add to note, the website stated these are 50amp sites - they're NOT. Now, our group was broken up throughout the campground - the sites are 30amp with 3 plugs per box (our breaker popped in the first 20 minutes of being plugged in), and we're sharing a water hookup with other campers - which was conveniently 2 feet in front of my door. I'm completely disappointed with the staffs inability to accommodate our situation. At the end of the day - it was a holiday weekend, we paid and expected a group site with our friends and family, and now we're dispersed throughout the campground and we have neighbors who complained about the "noise" when in reality - they're in our circle that we booked - on the site we reserved individually. Online it says, "call to book for group sites". Meaning not first come, first serve; the staff doesn't want to correct the situation; that's our problem. Additional points - this isn't our first time coming to Pla-more, and this is a completely different experience than before - I don't know if our group of 5+ will try this again at Pla-more. Hopefully something turns around in our current situation.
