The downtown location has always been my favorite restaurant when visiting Atlanta. He was a pleasant surprise to find out that they have a second location. I was really happy because the downtown location closes early and during the daytime because I'm busy with work during their hours of operation. Through my last visit it just so happened that my flight was overbooked and I had to stay an extra night low and behold I find out they have this location open for lunch and dinner so I immediately jump an Uber and went straight to Aviva to check them out. The workers are a resemblance of Kameel, very warm, friendly and engaging. The food was up to par. I went for the salmon which was outstanding as usual and I grabbed a falafel wrap to go which again was outstanding. I was kicking myself because I really wanted to get that rosemary chicken but maybe next time. Five stars all the way.

Aviva always provides amazing service. The food options are tasty and healthy. The ambiance is great as it sits in the CODA food court. The CODA garage will validate two hours with purchase. It definitely deserves 5 stars and I highly recommend!

There are a few locations around the Atlanta area, and this happens to be the one I can easily get to for lunch, but all of them hit. Consistently good quality and tastes amazing! You know it's popular when you see the line that forms for lunch every day. This particular location is in CODA, The Collective Food Hall at Tech Square, and it gets pretty busy with students and workers nearby. Aviva is a pricier option compared to the other food options it shares space with, but the flavor, portion, and freshness cannot be beat. While waiting in line, you should be able to see the digital screens above that show the choices you have. For me, the rosemary chicken is such a standout menu item. Even waiting in line, I had my eyes on it. I typically get the plate, and sometimes if I'm not feeling the sides they have, I get their creamy chicken soup. I think every plate you order, they also throw in one falafel, which was nice. I thought I wasn't a fan of falafel, but that's because most places I've had it make it dry and crunchy. Aviva's had a nice crisp exterior and a soft interior, which helps the flavor come through a lot better too. I'd consider ordering falafel more often if I know it'll taste this good. Now, the rosemary chicken is cooked perfectly, the meat is tender and the skin is seasoned beautifully. If you do not mind truly digging into your meal and getting a little messy, this is so worth it. The creamy chicken soup is also a great pick, especially for cold days. It's warm, rich, and yes indeed, creamy. The cheese in it is incorporated well, and if you aren't looking for a full meal for lunch, just getting the soup is a good option. Considering the location, it can be difficult to find seating during peak times, but the food travels well. Parking isn't too bad either, so stop by if this is the closest one.

I stopped into Aviva to grab lunch while visiting Atlanta. It's inside an office building in their food court area. It was pretty empty in there around 2pm when I went in. Aviva has Mediterranean style plates, wraps and salads, where you choose your proteins and sides and they make it right there at the counter. I knew I wanted falafel but unsure if I should do a wrap or salad so I asked the girl working and she suggested a wrap and all the toppings she thought would be good. I went with her suggestions and was very pleased! It was a huge wrap with lots of great flavor!

This is a delicious Mediterranean place in the Coda. Compared to the other options at the Coda, this place definitely has the best value. The chicken shawarma was very good, and there were so many side options I didn't even know what to choose. I do think everything was a little too salty for me, but the flavor was really good. I would come back to try some of their other dishes.

Holy moly.....this was SO good. I got the chicken shawarma plate with lentils & cabbage slaw -- they added in a falafel for free (and also offered free soup!). I ate it all in about 15 minutes, it was that good. The food is perfectly seasoned, tastes fresh and is amazingly filling. I left feeling full but not disgusting, which is hard with fast casual food. I wish I lived in ATL because I'd be here every day.

Really fresh ingredients prepared with care and nutrition in mind. I got the rosemary chicken and are you kidding me? Looks so incredibly well seasoned. I got the platter: the chicken was seriously so tender I ate with a fork and my hand lol the falafel was crispy and flavorful. Love all the sauces, esp the tahini because you can taste the quality. Not like the watery ones from other places. My server (a young African American fellow) was so patient and friendly. I can't wait to come back.

NEW BUCKHEAD LOCATION ALERT!! The new Buckhead location of Aviva by Kameel is to die for. I've never met kinder more generous employees. The employees energetically greeted each customer upon entering treating them like family. They treated each customer to a mini bowl of soup (which was amazing) while they ordered/waited in line. They also are so generous with portions- I got SO much chicken and large portions of my two sides. Mr. Kameel gave me a free homemade pita which was the fluffiest best pita I have had in my entire life. You cannot leave without trying it I can't even describe how good it is. He also gave me a falafel to try which I definitely would recommend- it wasn't like any falafel I've had before (in a good way). It is a little expensive- but I believe worth every penny. Mr Kameel is also big on using 100% extra virgin olive oil which is super healthy! They have both inside and outdoor seating- definitely a nice place to dine outside when the weather is nice! I literally could go on and on about this place. It is located in the shopping center with the new Publix!

You would think it's impossible for a restaurant to have a 5 star rating with the number of reviews it has but seriously, the hype is real. So when Aviva by Kameel opened at the CODA, I had to check it out. Kameel unfortunately was not there but he had a good substitute filling in - not sure what his name was but he was super friendly and nice and treated me like I was a regular. I decided to go basic and ordered the chicken shawarma with a side of grilled veggies and falafel but it was anything but basic. It was super tasty and who knew they could make "food court" food look so good! Will definitely be back again soon!

Delicious Mediterranean food with great options. The falafel wasn't ready so they even gave us free soup! Ambiance at CODA is great too!

This is a food court style restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma, Grilled Veggies, and sweet potatoes and a side of hummus. This is a healthy place to stop in on a busy day for lunch or dinner. The food was flavorful and light. The person who served me was wonderful and enthusiastic. She let me taste some of the food which was super helpful in ultimately making my choice. If I was in the area and needed something quick and healthy, I'd eat here again.

Falafel Platter with Pasta, Sweet Potatoes, and Veggies

We went at 12:30 on Monday, 7/25/2022. We did paid street parking. There were a good amount of tables inside. Here's what we got: - Falafel Platter ($12.15): The falafel was amaaaaazing. Perfectly crispy on the outside, but soft and moist on the inside. I got it with tahini dressing and it was good! It only comes with 4 falafel balls, but you get 3 sides instead of 2. For my 3 sides, I chose veggies, sweet potatoes, and pasta. All were delicious! The sweet potatoes were so sweet and spiced so nicely. The pasta was so creamy and tasted like elevated macaroni and cheese. - Chicken Shawarma Platter ($12.95): I liked the falafel better than the chicken shawarma. My husband got the sweet potatoes and hummus as his 2 sides. The hummus was good! I wish the pita was a warmer and fresher. Super good! Great price! Large portions!

Salmon plate with veggies, hummus, and tabouleh salad
    Tanya H.

The ratings are true. Yes, this is truly a delicious heaven on earth and it's here in Atlanta! Food: The food is absolutely fire!!! I tried their salmon with veggies as my side and the salmon was perfectly cooked (medium well-ish) and the veggies that accompanied it were tasty! The price is higher than your general fast casual place but the quality and portion size of what you're getting is really unmatched. Service: phenomenal as it gets for a counter service place. You're greeted and the employees I interacted with were happy to give recommendations on what I was feeling (something healthy and light but large enough for two meals)- recommended the salmon with veggies and it included sides (tabouleh salad and hummus are my go tos!)

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

My girlfriend has a very strict diet due to food sensitivities, so before ordering she specifically asked about the dough, bread, and flours used in the food. Unfortunately, instead of receiving details about the ingredients, she was simply told that she could eat it. Based on that information, she ordered the meal, but later had a reaction to the dough that was used. This was frustrating because the situation likely could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information about the ingredients from the beginning. We completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every dietary restriction, but being transparent about what is used in the food allows customers to make informed decisions for themselves. The food itself was good, which is why we're giving 3 stars, but the service on this particular issue left us disappointed. We hope the restaurant can do a better job of providing ingredient information when customers ask, especially for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.
