Mediocre service. Looked them up online, seemed nice, decent reviews. Came in Monday early afternoon for some jeans I needed tailored, turns out the tailor wasn't in so told to come in Wednesday. Also quoted $25 for the service. Called twice Wednesday to no answer, and decided to come in. Got measurements taken and jeans dropped off. Told they would be ready by Saturday after 5pm and quoted $35 for the service. Came in around 6pm on Saturday, jeans were unfinished. Told to come back on Monday, and would receive a phone call Monday morning that they were finished. Never received a call, came in Monday afternoon, jeans were done, paid $42 for service and took jeans home. Got home, tried jeans on and noticed that a belt loop is now halfway attached to waistline. Also, stitching along the side is uneven and sloppy. For some reason now the jeans are a little too tight, and am very disappointed. Jean brand is Purple brand and cost around $300. I'd give zero stars if I could. My fiancé dropped off seat covers to be cleaned for a classic automobile install on Friday, March 19th. They stated they were unaware if they could get them cleaned but would let us know on Monday either way. They took down her number wrong so, of course, we didn't receive a call. I went earlier today to retrieve them as I have called and not gotten through; I explained the number was wrong. Then I was told by the individual working (who was having trouble locating) while on the phone with her boss they were still wet. I asked to just take them as is. She called and asked him if that were possible; She then explained he was the only one who could open the machine and I had to come back in an hour. I gave them over an hour before returning. He was busy with other guests when I arrived and I waited patiently as he even took a phone call. He then proceeds to tell me they aren't there. I listen patiently as he insists he told her that if they could do it they would have to send them off and it would take a week to a week and a half. That they are closed and he will have to reach out in the morning. I politely let him finish all he is saying before speaking myself. I ask if he can understand my frustration and confusion as he told his employee something different on the phone, my fiancé never heard about them being sent off or agreed to "just do it if you can" as she knows it's time sensitive. I ask for the contact information of where my property is. At each and every sentence he spoke over me and argued with me. He proceeds to call the person, nonchalantly making conversation then asking what time can they be ready tomorrow morning "as-is". I explain to him once again, that was not my request and he hasn't acknowledged the miscommunication issues that he has created; he backpedals and tells me that tells me he thought I was there to get something different, that's why he said it. When I was there when she called and gave him the name AND item description. $600 worth of seat covers. Not cleaned. Missing. No contact information provided and a business owner who told me "we're going around in circles" as he wouldn't stop talking over me and arguing. I had no intention of being unreasonable. I moved things around multiple tiimes and went by the information given. The young lady who helped me out was more than hospitable and went based on his Information. Why you could just not, for the life of me, apologize for the mixup and then give me the contact information of the company you alledgedly dropped them off at is beyond me. Unless you didn't want me to speak to them and uncover more nonsense. This is NOT a community establishment. We don't do business like this with one another here. read more

I do not recommend their tailoring services. They only seem capable of hemming pants and are unable to perform other tailoring tasks properly. They ruined two of my pants, and when I went back to have them fixed, they asked for more money. I left one pair with them, but after a week, they still hadn't bothered to fix it. That money was wasted. They didn't even apologize for the damage and gave a ridiculous excuse for why they ruined the pants. read more

TL;DR: affordable, good quality, and friendly service for clothing alterations and dry cleaning! I bought some used Lululemon leggings that were way too long for me, had a rip at the bottom, and had a hole on the back. I was a little worried because the stretchy material would be really hard to handle! I brought them to Aviva to be altered, and Jerry said it would be no problem. I tried on the leggings in the changing room, he marked where to alter them and made sure I was happy with it, and that was it! He even said he would hand stitch the small hole. He showed me how the hem would look, since his machine just does a normal double stitch instead of the zig zag the leggings had originally, and I told him it was fine. I got them back 3 days later (he asked me if I needed them any earlier and I bet he would have accommodated me), and he charged me just $14 ($10 for the hem, and $4 for the hole)! I felt like that was extremely reasonable for being on stretchy Lululemon fabric, and the quality of the work was great. I would definitely recommend Aviva for all your alteration and dry cleaning needs! read more

I came in to have two dresses hemmed. Neither was lined so it was a simple job. I relied on one of the Yelp photos shown for the business that has a price list for different cleaning and alterations options. It showed dresses or skirts hemmed for $14 or $16 dollars. When I got there, the person gave me an estimate for $36 each! When I mentioned the sign, he said it must be from seven years ago but when I looked at the photo when I got home it was posted in 2021. It felt very deceptive. I took the dresses somewhere else for much less money than $36. read more

Don't take your clothes there if you're planning on wearing them again! I took my favorite cocktail dress there to be dry cleaned but when I came to pick it up it had shrank into almost half the size. It looked like a kid size. The fabric was all wrinkly and weird looking and the bright blue color had faded a bit. I won't ever be able to wear that dress again. I was so sad! Didn't even get a sorry nor did they offer to refund the money I paid to have it dry cleaned. Had to ask if they expected me to pay for them ruining my dress before they refunded me the $10. So sweet and eco friendly to boot! I recently started taking a night class down the street from this place and had a pile of wrinkled clothes taking up valuable trunk space in my car. And so I walked the mighty pile over to this place before my class last week and gave them to a very sweet lady, Lesbia, working the front. I explained which pieces I wanted extra starchy and she said no problem! Even though I probably sounded like an idiot trying to act out extra starch. Hey, I am not fluent in DC speak, okay! Sure enough when I picked up my order the following week, my goods were as good as new and ready to be rocked out in the world again. Disappointing :( I really wanted to like this place since it's a couple of blocks away from home. 1st time This is how it went. Me "Are you able to remove these stains?" Guy at the counter "yes, yes no problem" Me "Great! ". Now I don't have to Oxyclean all these shirts for 8 hours. Then wash, air dry and iron. Yes I'm a lazy butt Soo... I go back a couple of days later and guess what stains are still there. Ugh. He was actually very nice and tried to help but said that I never told him about that and that he wasn't able to remove those kinda of stains. Double ugh! 2nd Try -This time everything went well. I handled the stained shirts myself. Oxyclean of course! 3rd Round . Woman helped this time. Scheduled pick up was Wednesday. So I go by Wednesday as scheduled. Half of my stuff isn't ready. So she tells me to take what's ready and if I can pick up the rest tomorrow. No sweat right?! My husband can't wear all his clothes at once! Tomorrow is today now... I go pick up the rest and she only gives me two shirts. I ask about the rest andddd she starts yelling at me!! Wtf "she says "I knew I shouldn't have gave them to you, but you told me!" The reason I went to this they had good reviews, close enough on my drive home from work, and they use eco-friendly products, so there's not that 'dry clean' smell. The people at the place are super friendly. They ask what you need, and when you need it by. That's it. I took in 3 pea coats (Old Navy coats) and a puffy jacket (Guess). I didn't want to pay more for the dry cleaning then the costs of the jackets, right? $36! I almost died. And it turned out really nice. The folks here are great. My brother dropped off a jacket for dry cleaning and some stitch work. I came by to pick it up a few days later, and upon my arrival, I was told that tailoring had not been completed. I told them it was no big deal as I didn't need the sewing that badly.
