I'm deleting my original review as the alleged owner Jack stated he plans on having me served a lawsuit in the coming days and it'll be an "unnecessary headache" if I don't take it down. (See attached text message.) The following still stands, my dry cleaning was done poorly and they refused to fix it that night. They offered to fix it after the fact. But why would I go back after I was repeatedly shouted at to "get the hell out", take my business elsewhere, and eventually threatening to be sued? The younger guy is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Calling customers and their comments "annoying", "condescending", and "nasty" isn't a good look. (See response below and attached text message.) At the end of the day life is way too short to be dragged into court to litigate two skirts and a jumpsuit. So congrats Jack you won, now leave me alone. read more

Came by a few weeks ago to get a blazer and pants dry-cleaned/tailored. Dry cleaning worked out fine, and the blazer was great. However, after I picked up the pants, I noticed that the legs were not adjusted. It looked like they had undone the hem of one pant leg while leaving the other untouched. When I brought them back in to get fixed, a younger male staff member told me these were not the same pants I had initially brought in and said he would "be surprised" if they had made this mistake. It felt like he thought I was trying to scam them or something. It took a frustrating back-and-forth with the younger male and an older male staff member before the very nice lady who does the tailoring looked at the pants and realized she had not finished the tailoring. I appreciate her, as she apologized and did a great job fixing the pants. I'm writing this review because I felt like the two male staff members I spoke with were rude about the situation. I understand mistakes happen and you have to protect your business, but making snide comments and making me feel like a problem for raising the issue was unprofessional. To my memory, neither of those two staff members ever apologized or said "our bad!" for their mistake, even though they seem to handle the bulk of the customer service. It felt like they were annoyed with me while I was in the store. Three stars because the tailoring worked out in the end, the blazer is well done, and the dry cleaning is fine. Check your items before you walk out to make sure they are actually done, and be sure to talk to the tailoring lady; she is very sweet. read more

They quoted me $50-$80 but once i came in they start quoting me $150 almost double the quoted price is a little crazy. since they were the first place i went to i wanted to go around and get quotes THEN the lady RUDELY tells me if i come back after she would charge me more. I came to this place to dry clean my 2 piece suit because they responded quickly to me on Yelp. They do a really good job removing stains on my suit. The only thing I don't like about this place is that they don't have a parking lot. They have street parking available right in front of their store. The meter takes credit card. I called with a SUPER last minute request. I basically needed a skirt hemmed and taken in for an event in less than a few hours. I dropped my skirt off at 12:30 and picked it back up at 2 pm. It is my first time at this location, I never really go to a dry cleaners honestly but needed my suit taken in since I lost some weight this summer and had a wedding to attend the following day. I read some reviews online for a local alterations and came across Griffith Park cleaners. A young gentleman helped me out saying they can provide a fast turnaround for my suit. There's a few alteration ladies on site to help me get my jacket fitted and it came out excellent the next day when I picked it up. This is a great small business. We keep coming back again and again with our dry cleaning and alteration needs and are always fully satisfied. They've never lost anything and are always friendly when we drop off or pick up. Highly recommended! I needed to get a suit tailored two days before an Emmys party (I received the suit late). I scrambled to find a place that could help me get it tailored in a short amount of time. I went into Griffith Park cleaners since it was on my way home from work. I believe it was Jack who helped me in the front, and the kindest lady (I don't know her name) who, I'm assuming, is the one who makes the magic happen. I picked up my suit earlier than I even expected for only $67! I was surprised by the quality of the work and how fast they were able to get it done for such an affordable price. Trust me when I say I called many places to get quotes of what it would cost to clean my very dirty wedding dress (had a beach wedding) - it was essentially dark brown/black (which also shows how much fun I had in it)! I was getting quotes of anywhere between $250-300 to get it dry cleaned but this place quoted me half! I couldn't stomach paying that much to clean a dress when I've already spent so much paying for the dress itself and alterations. I absolutely love this dry cleaners. I have 6 panels of gorgeous, raw, dupioni silk curtains that had been badly stained in a freak accident with a coffee mixed with a protein shake. 3 panels were damaged & I made them worse by spraying stain remover on them. The owner was kind, honest & frank. He told me he would try to not have to wash them in cold water because they are dry clean only, but he couldn't guarantee the stains would come out without it. The price per panel especially in comparison to how much it would cost to replace the curtains now with the price of similar ones having gone up exponentially since I bought these 10yrs ago. When I picked them up they looked brand new. He saved them!! They didn't need cold water & there was zero evidence of any stains. I was absolutely flabbergasted at how amazing my panels looked. I brought the rest in for a cleaning & still paid far less for that than I would have replacing them. This is now my go to dry cleaner even though there are many closer to me. I even brought a white duvet cover in that had stains that they were able to restore completely as well. I have brought clothes in that were done with care for affordable prices, too! I am always treated with respect & consideration by everyone there. I can't recommend this business more! They go above & beyond to get the job done right with eco friendly products. I really wanted to love this place since my bf and I took a bunch of pants to be mended there recently, but yesterday I went to pick up a pair of white linen pants I had just purchased for my month long trip to Europe. I just wanted a super simple one inch hem. The guy I had dropped them off to told me they'd be ready by Monday afternoon. When I arrived around 1pm they were still not ready so he asked me to come back in another hour which was stressful since I needed to head to the airport, but that is not what upset me. When I went to pack my pants, there was a coffee stain on them. Somehow in their rush to hem the pants, they spilled what looks like coffee and totally ruined my pants. They literally still had the tag on them, they were BRAND NEW. Aside from that they charged me $18 for the job. I am so upset. Being that I had to immediately leave for the airport I was not able to go back into the shop and no one has answered my calls. I will not be using them ever again. read more
