They were upset with me for leaving it behind, told me I had two days to retrieve it before it was thrown out, and that I had to pay for an ENTIRE order of five shirts (I already paid even with the missing item). I have thought long and hard before writing this review . I gave this place many chances thinking mistakes happen , but never taking my business there . First and foremost they charge different prices every time and come up with different reasons that makes no sense . I have been taking my husband's designer clothes there .Not only do they charge extra because it's designer , but they didn't do a good job cleaning them . Every time I picked up clothes 3-10 would still have stains on them and I would still be charged for it. Last time i mentioned it to the owner and she didn't care to fix it instead she was rude with her response . This place is horrible. I took my $200 blanket to get it dry clean since it's dry clean only and they COMPLETELY ruined it. The faux fur was destroyed-it's extremely rough and no longer fluffy. The woman there (short burgundy-ish hair) took NO RESPONSIBILITY and only said "sorry". No refund. No attempt to credit me. Nothing. Like a "sorry" is going to fix my $200 blanket. I love this place. Great service, fine quality alterations, and very quick turnaround times. Several years ago, I needed a number of dresses altered, and after experiencing low quality alterations and poor service at the cleaners near my home in Silver Lake, I began sleuthing for a new place. Rio Cleaners is amazing and then some. The seamstress always does a stellar job, whether I need a dress hemmed, have to have a piece of ripped fabric sewed closed, or request an add-on. Case in point, I had a dress that fit great, but was nearly impossible to put on or take off. The Rio Cleaners seamstress added a zipper to the dress without compromising the integrity of the shirring backing, and it looks like it was part of the original dress design. Now the dress fits like a dream and is easy to take on and off without going through a 10-minute contortion act. Another time, I ripped a different dress in the middle of the fabric, far from any seam or hemline. The seamstress sewed it up so meticulously and professionally, one can't even notice that it was ever ripped. On top of that, they've always pressed my garments after altering. This may not sound like a big deal, but I've been to plenty of places that do the alteration work, but don't press the clothing afterwards. It's this small but noticible extra effort that makes Rio Cleaners one of the best around. They're reasonably priced and always do a great job cleaning all my garments, too. Even though I don't live in the neighborhood or work nearby, Rio Cleaners is worth the extra mileage for their services. read more

I was very nervous about where to go to get my wedding dress cleaned and altered. I had gotten quotes from a few bridal salons that were ridiculously high, so I was beginning to think that was the norm. Fortunately, Rio Cleaners saved me! Since my dress was pretty simple and I just needed the bodice taken in a few sizes, they quoted me with an amazing price and told me I could pick it up in about three days (pressing was complimentary!). Bridal salons were quoting me hundreds of dollars more for the alteration and said it would take about two months. Everyone there was super nice, I was able to use a Yelp coupon to reduce the price even further and when I came back three days later the dress looked gorgeous and it fit like a glove! I was thrilled! After the wedding, of course I went back to them to get the dress cleaned. It had a long train that had gotten really dirty from walking around all day and taking pictures on a grassy lawn, and there was some kind of chocolate stain on the back that I thought might never come out. I was leaving for my honeymoon in a couple of days so I wasn't sure if I should just wait until I got back to get it cleaned, but they said they could take care of it in ONE DAY so that I could pick it up before I left the country and wouldn't have to stress about the stains setting in. And on top of that, they remembered me from when I got the dress altered, so they gave me a good deal on the cleaning! I brought it in during lunch on Wednesday, picked it up at 6:30 pm on Thursday and it was perfect, all the stains were out and it looked as good as new! Brides on a budget and/or on a tight schedule, I would definitely recommend you go to Rio!! I know you're afraid to leave your precious dress with just anybody, but they do great work! Just started coming to Rio cleaners a month ago and I'm a regular. Been to couple other cleaners and no other Cleaner store is more present full and clean like this place. Very friendly staff and most of all the owner Joe Is awesome and has great customer service. You can get same day service if you like as well. This place is great. I live in Santa Clarita and use someone out there, but now I work down the street from here and needed to find a place easily accessible during business hours. I stopped by for my first time since there was a discount code and I let my dry cleaning pile up to about 7 shirts, 3 pants, and 2 jackets. When I dropped it off, they told me it would be ready Saturday (this was Thursday). I asked if I could bother them to at least have the jacket I was dropping off ready by Friday afternoon. To my request they said that would be no problem and no extra charge for a rush cleaning. Fast forward to me picking up my dry cleaning, which was supposed to be only one jacket, and to my surprise everything I dropped off was ready!! I couldn't have been more thankful since I didn't want to have to come all the way out there just to pick up dry cleaning. Similar situation happened to me where last minute I was in need of my suit being cleaned and pressed. Sure enough, on a special request they got it done. Brought in some suits and other items for dry cleaning using the Yelp deal I bought a while back. I didn't realize they were located in the same plaza as my favorite El Pollo Loco, nice... Anyway, the lady helping me was friendly and patient as two of the blazers had some stubborn stains that needed removing. I haven't needed to dry clean anything for a long time so I don't know whether their prices are competitive with other places but I was glad I bought the Yelp deal, otherwise, it'd be pretty expensive to dry clean these 8 items. I think they did a great job. One of the blazers had spaghetti stains? that were too old to be removed, but I don't think anyone can remove those so it wasn't a problem. There was no strong chemical smell but I still let it air out for a few days just in case. read more
