I brought in a silk shirt for dry cleaning but they must have done something wrong because it's no longer silky and has a very rough touch to it. Maybe they washed it as a regular blouse? This is disappointing. If it was just going to be cleaned this way I could have done it myself. read more

Lovely people with good prices, but it's time for me to move on. I've been using Aviva for probably three years now and have brought them four or five dozen dress shirts over that time for cleaning. Of those, at least three (light colored) shirts have be ruined (i.e., visible, permanent stains--machine grease maybe?), the last one being this morning (bleach splatter everywhere). My sneaking suspicion is that a number of my darker shirts are also stained at this point but I simply can't see them. Unfortunately, I don't check the shirts when I get them back, and they can sit in my closet for weeks or months before I use them and notice the stain, which is why I've never gone back for compensation. That said, I do seem to be the lone unhappy review, so as long as you check your dry-cleaning for damage before you leave the store you might considering giving them a go. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Aviva Cleaners sooner-I have been going to Jerry for about a year (after my last dry cleaners lost my pants and refused to pay to replace them or offer me a discount on future dry cleaning). And I'm happy to say I'll never go to another dry cleaner! Jerry is professional, reasonably priced, they're open early and close late, and all of my suits have come back clean with absolutely no complaints! I've also had him alter a few of my dresses and he did an amazing job. He is meticulous when it comes to his craft and you can tell he's been doing this for years. Whether you're in Burbank or live further away, I promise it's worth the drive. I recently moved out of this area but still drive to him. 100% recommend if you're looking for a new dry cleaning place! read more

First of all there is parking. :) I checked around and called many places in the area to re-hem pant legs and this place is the most inexpensive! They are the friendliest and they are the fastest. While Jerry is great on the customer service, unfortunately the woman working the counter barely speaks English and could not understand the most basic questions about removing perfume/cologne odors from fabrics. The only answers I received were "I don't know". I also was not happy with the work on basic hems of jeans, the stitch spacing, color, thickness of thread all did not match the rest of the garment. I bought 2 dresses that were too big for me but I loved them and couldn't find them ANYWHERE in my size. Took them to Jerry and he altered them PERFECTLY. He is amazing. I've gone to him for my uniforms, pants and shirts but these dresses seemed a little more complicated. They had elastic on the sides where they needed to be taken in. I've been going here for years since its just down the street from my house and I'm really happy with them. When they changed ownership a couple years ago I got a little nervous, but the new owners take just as much pride in their work as the previous owners. Nice people, good service, fair prices. As far as tailoring goes, I think its still one of the women who have been there for years with the previous owners. I've had her do simple mending, cover a couple cushions and create a new lining for my favorite coat, and I've always been satisfied. Definitely recommend them over Flair (crappy) or Milt and Edie's (freaking expensive!). read more

Friendly, they quickly remembered my somewhat difficult last name and they haven't lost anything in 4 months of use. Both laundry and dry cleaning are done well and for a reasonable price. They have done rush jobs for me a few times and really pulled my rear out of the fire. Prices are more than reasonable, the service is prompt and friendly and my clothes come back clean. Found Aviva on Yelp today. I am flying out of town early tomorrow morning and was worried I'd have to pay extra for same day service, but nope. Both of the people I dealt with today were very helpful and understanding. They had all 7 of my items beautifully cleaned and ready to go, they did a minor repair (without charge) to a blouse and then kept the door open past closing times for me, knowing I was stuck in traffic. And my total bill came to less than $40. Parking in rear lot or on the street. I am thrilled with Aviva Cleaners! read more

*Wonderful Wonderful* The two owners of this place are so sweet and friendly. They really take the time to listen to what concerns I have with my clothing. I had come here to get a few shirts cleaned and a rip sewn up in some jeans. Two shirts laundered, one shirt dry cleaned and the stitching of the pants came out to $18. For the (maybe) 7 pieces of dressy clothing that I own that need dry cleaning, I'm so glad I finally started using Aviva Cleaners! They use an eco friendly system so that's already a big plus, especially when I opened my freshly dry-cleaned bag of clothes and they smelled fresh rather than like they'd been through a nuclear war. After using other neighborhood cleaners, I'm so much happier w/ the good quality cleaning my clothing received instead of a cheap-ass petrochemical bomb. They're close to my house, they're easy to find on Magnolia w/ easy, accessible parking on the street or in the lot in back, and the lady who took care of me was sweet rather than the cranky attitude I'm used to getting at lesser establishments. Finding dependable Dry Cleaners can be a difficult feat which is why I feel lucky having Aviva...going to this location twenty-five plus years, change in ownership made me nervous about five years ago, looking back now current owners didn't miss a beat keeping quality up with reasonable prices!
