I found Aviva Design in an online search. I've been working with Aviva Design as our embroiderer for my work for a little over a year. Our previous embroidery company had minimum quantity requirements that we just couldn't meet for our small business. We have polos and jackets that we need embroidered a couple times a year. Most of our orders are for under 25 pieces. The Owner, Yonka, is great to work with. She has never turned away our business due to small quantity of items. We purchased polos through Aviva Design and had them embroider them. But, primarily, what I do is bring them already purchased pieces to embroider. This has never been a problem with them. Other embroidery companies I've used in the past would not embroider customer-provided items. We are very particular about what pieces of clothing we put our logos on, so finding an embroidery company that will work on our pieces we bring to them is crucial. Aviva Design ensures that your artwork design and size will look perfect on your clothing items. Yonka showed me some thread options for my last order (it was a new logo that we hadn't had embroidery on yet). I really appreciated her showing me the options for the gold color. Having worked in this business on the east coast, I was surprised at the lack of communication and how long it took to get a reply. After committing to this company to complete our project, most communication was done by email. Samples of the logo were provided through email and the company representative could not understand the need to provide a scale, for reference in photos of samples. Face to face business was conducted in the front yard while standing on the side walk. "Knock on the garage door" doesn't always work because the music being played inside the garage is too loud for the worker to hear the pounding. Once while parked in the driveway and having been told the worker was there to show a sample, pounding on the garage door didn't get a response. A call to the representative assured us he would come out in 10 minutes to show us the changes. After 30 minutes of waiting, we gave up and went home. Trying to salvage this encounter we were told a few days later that an employee was working in the garage and would discuss the project. When we arrived and parked in the driveway, a lady parked in the street offered "no one was there". We POUNDED on the garage door and the worker came out and invited us in. The lady got to pick up her completed project and we discussed changes. That was December 27th. Two follow up phone calls during business hours and 9 days later, no response. I'm not saying the company's equipment doesn't do great work, it is the human element that is sadly lacking. read more
