This is probably the best sushi place in town. Really nice staff, warm atmosphere, and awesome food. Highly recommend the Little River Roll if you like fresh tasting is the best role I've ever had.

For my 1st visit my daughter and I went there and I liked it so much I brought my girlfriend there a couple wrks later. I haven't had anything bad there and I will definitely be back. I can't believe they've been open for 5 yrs and we didn't know that. They are kinda hidden because of a sign advertising a banner store that hangs over their restaurant.

From the minute we walked in, great service from the wait staff. They answered all our questions and brought some great suggestions to our choices. The restaurant had a homey feel but was very put together and clean with a great asian flair! Also had a really clean bathroom! The miso soup was good and tasty! The sushi rolls we had were all immaculate. The cuts on the sashimi were perfect. The rice prepared well. The portions were typical of what you get in american sushi restaurants and the pricing matched. They had blue fin tuna and it was divine! One of my favorites I don't see very often on the menu. I had the very tasty ocean roll, which had White fish, Albacore tuna, yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, cucumber, topped avocado. Others had the baked Gonzaga Roll (Crab meat ,cream cheese, avocado inside, salmon and a sweet creamy dynamite sauce on top, baked fish and eel sauce,Contains peanuts) Bonzai Roll (Baked eel, salmon, crab mix, and cream cheese, (contains peanuts) and Chefs choice Sushi combo which came out pretty diverse. For being a sushi place not on the coast. They bring that coastal japanese island quality you don't see very often and this is worth a stop for any sushi lover.

Last night, John surprised me with a visit to Avocado Roll Sushi (north Spokane, on Highway 395, in Heritage Square). To say I was impressed, would be an understatement. The restaurant was clean, the server was very nice. The owner was our sushi chef. Based on their name, I thought they just did rolls. I was wrong. Granted they do not have many dishes other than sushi, sashimi, and rolls...but that's all I ever get when I go out for sushi, so it was perfect for me. We tried a few rolls: King Kong, Ocean, Spicy Tuna, and a Yellowtail Roll. We also ordered one Tobiko nigiri and sashimi order of Bigeye Tuna. I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant.

This is one of the best sushi spots in Spokane! You can find its tucked away in a spot you wouldn't notice but once you enter, you'll leave happy and satisfied! I've been over four times since my first visit. They are friendly, have quick service, and it's a casual inside.

The menu is short on non-fish apps and dishes, so you know they're good at their sushi/sashimi! The Ocean roll ($15) was fresh and a good size roll for the price. The shrimp and veggie tempura was okay but I wouldn't recommend. It came with asparagus tempura which was new to me, but the batter was a little heavy and not crispy enough for my liking overall. The waitresses were friendly but busy. They sat me at the bar (I was dining alone) and were just the right amount of attentive. The space seems small with only five seats at the bar but there were a few groups nonetheless and the intimate space felt sort of hole in the wall-like. Will be back to try more of their rolls!

Oh my gosh, so happy we found this sushi place! We have visited many sushi restaurants in Spokane and this one is the top favorite! We had the Transylvania Roll, Spokane Roll and the special Ocean Roll. All three were excellent! Transylvania is my favorite. Our server was perfect!

My two friends I…read morewas with each got rolls and loved the portions and flavor-- we've gone to several sushi places in Spokane and this is our favorite for the deliciousness of everything we tried. So, as far as the basics of quality ingredients and crafted sushi/sashimi, Sushi Blossom is tops. The reason for only four stars is the service. It was busy (we were there at 6 pm on a Tuesday, so also a great nod to how good it is here that the place was bustling on a weeknight). But our service was really pretty poor. I have no desire to put a young lady working as a server on blast, so I'll just say we waited an extra-long time, and felt as a table like we were irritating or inconveniencing our server, though we ordered right away, had no adjustments to what we ordered, and just sat waiting a long time patiently. We didn't complain, and thanked our server when she brought our food. But if I'd been with someone who didn't already love Sushi Blossom and was my guest, this would have felt pretty embarrassing, like we were doing something wrong by being customers. However, that was just one young lady on one night out of LOTS of dining experiences at Sushi Blossom, most of which have been excellent. So we'll happily be back, and put this one experience behind us. The food, once again, is so, so good. If you're looking for great sushi in Spokane, this is a fantastic place to try!

We came in and put our name down, got a table after about 40 minute wait. We were seated at the sushi bar which we didn't mind, got to see the sushi being made! I ordered a drink, the coconut mojito. It was so delicious. Perfectly sweet, tart, tropical, I can come here just for the drinks because they are perfect every single time. We knew what sushi rolls we wanted to we got our personal favorite, the Las Vegas roll. Then got the Godzilla roll and the Fresh roll. All were so so good, my favorite is still the Las Vegas roll but the fresh roll was delicious with the fresh lemon on top! I will return again and again for the sushi and drinks, it's top tier! I will say the service was lacking. I understand it was very busy but we didn't get checked up on once and we ran out of water at the beginning of the meal and never got a refill on water. I also wanted to try a drink from the specials menu but opted not to because our waitress never came around so I can order anything else. Maybe next time. Food was outstanding but on a busy day, the service was very disappointing.

I thought it funny that the name of the shop sounded like it was either calling attention to or poking fun at the southeast Asian pronunciation of the word noodle, but the pictures were undeniable! So in just minutes from the Davenport Hotel, we walk thru the doors. I was very impressed with the modern art aesthetic that adorn the surrounding walls of the dining area. Pop art is a very common look at more modern ramen places so I was feeling very comfortable and confident that we'd come to the right place. The staff was friendly and amazing from the get go and all throughout! Starving, we sat down and our eyes tore through the menu with excitement. Most satisfyingly was the fact that we'd come at happy hour and ramen bowls were $10 each! Now as a ramen goer, I will always go to TanTan if it's on the menu and it was! My mind was made. My other two friends ordered the Spicy beef in a shoyu broth and a spicy Tonkotsu (both looked amazing)! We also ordered appetizers from the happy hour menu: Salt and Pepper Tofu and the Spicy Pork Wontons! Both of those were HIGHLY RECOMMENDs, but if you're sharing the Tofu goes much farther with the wontons only having 3 pieces but AMAZING flavor (PRO TIP: you can also use the left over sauce to experiment with other tastes later in your meal). Once the appetizers hit the table it was gone! Hence the no pictures, for which I greatly apologize. I've failed you again, my Yelp family. But please know it was because I'm a fat ass and couldn't hold back my hunger. But finally, the main courses came out. My mind clear from the nourishments of the appetizers, I was able to snap a picture of. Maybe not as much of a, "my mind was clear" as it was a, "Carrots and corn in my ramen? YUCK!" Now I get the corn. In Hokkaido style they like to put sweet corn on the surface and slap some butter on it, and THAT I always have time for. But corn?? In my opinion, there's no place for carrots in ramen because the sweetness will always off balance the taste. Especially in a pork bone broth, but definitely not invited to my TanTan party, but I digress. Being the huge lover that I am of food and adventure, I thought I'd give it a try. But from the first bite, I realized that I was right about the flavor, forgot about the texture and was surprised to find Chicken in my ramen. No ohana... ramen is one of my favorite things EVER! Growing up in my life we'd eat dry bags of Maruchan/Top Ramen with the seasoning in it for fun, as kids. You know which one flavor I NEVER ate? CHICKEN! It just never hit to me. And here, betraying me in my coveted TanTan was chicken! Besides all of these things, my ramen was slightly hotter than warm. I grew up eating traditional style ramen, where you had to want it! Meaning the broth would undoubtedly burn your lips but you HAD TO WANT IT fresh or you'd miss out on what good ramen was. So disappointedly, I rested my chopsticks across the brim of the bowl in defeat and pulled the menu back. Meanwhile, from across the table I hear the satisfying sounds of slurps and bowls being picked up and set down on the table. So I ask how their food was. Both were very happy and both did look good, but I needed something that wouldn't miss this time. So with that in mind, I asked for the Spicy ramen! But this time I made a few adjustments. Audibles if you will (heck, it's football season). I asked for no carrots and no corn (of which she whiffed on the no corn, but thankfully there were no carrots) and almost MOST importantly: I asked for the noodles to be half cooked! My waitress, who: LET ME JUST STOP HERE AND GIVE HER THE FLOWERS SHE DESERVES! I feel bad that I don't remember her name or who don't have a picture with her but I was there during happy hour on the 7th of September (Monday) and she looked like she could have been the daughter part of a mother/daughter duo that was working the dining area! I appreciate you! NOW BACK TO THE FOOD! So my order again: Spicy Beef Ramen, no corn or carrots with the noodles half cooked! And the next bowl that was set in front of me redeemed the entire food experience. My ramen was piping hot and perfect. Sizable chunks of well cooked beef, dressing the landscape of my bowl like mountains on a map. Just beautiful. I couldn't wait to dive in. And from the first bite, it was redemption! The beef was so soft! It had a rich flavor that made me check it to see if they maybe upgraded me to ox tail. They hadn't, but it was definitely an upgrade from that shredded chicken fiasco I'd just come away from. The spice level was perfect. And the temperature of the soup melted all of the natural juices and oils of all the ingredients into the broth. Exactly like it's supposed to do!
