This simple, no frills cafe is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat before you hit the slopes. They have a huge selection of baked goods and bagels (the almond chocolate scone is AMAZING) and a vast menu that accommodates both vege and meat eaters alike. Their prices are a bit steep, but that is to be expected in the mountain town. They have a small amount of seating in the cafe with some 'hidden" in the back, though the tables are a little squished. They did charge us a 10 cent bag fee which we didn't realize until later which I found odd considering a) it's a restaurant and b) we didn't get a bag since we were eating there, but obviously not a deal breaker. If you're looking for a casual place to grab some breakfast or a sandwich, stop here. They were a little slow, but judging by the "NOW HIRING" signs hanging up I assume like many other places they are short-staffed. I also was disappointed that they didn't have a coffee bar (espresso), but they do serve Vail Mountain drip coffee, which is a nice touch. read more

I was planning a group event in Vail and didn't realize that Doordash and other food delivery services served so few restaurants in the area. I had a few meals that needed to be ordered and picked up in advance, and was stressing about how to handle these meals without a delivery service. Luckily I found Avon Bakery. They fed us every day with yummy catered breakfast items and hearty sack lunches, and were flexible in accommodating our order changes and pickup times. I know that this took a lot of work in the background, since they had other large orders some days and are short staffed. Maggie went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly and we had everything we needed. Judging by the crowds at the counter each morning, this place is a favorite among the local crowd which you know means that the food is great and the price is right. read more

As a visiting vegan to Beaver Creek, we stopped in for lunch to grab some sandwiches. The place was packed and we had trouble getting parking. I dropped my party off a block away and had them walk over. Once I found parking, I walked into what seemed like a wall of people who were ordering out the door. We ordered some healthy vegan wraps and a Mediterranean salad. As I looked around Waiting for our food, I could see everyone enjoying the choices. Our party order veggie wraps and a salad. The wraps are big enough for two. The are jammed with a lot of hummus and veggies. I ate only half and was stuffed. What I like most about the food is the freshness. When you bite into the veggie wrap, you can hear the veggies crackle. I enjoyed my lunch experience. Overall I recommend Avon Bakery and give them 4 Stars. I would definitely return back. read more

Our favorite breakfast spot before hitting the slopes every morning! Super cheap, extremely fresh products, prep time was fairly fast even when they were ultimately busy and we can't forget their homemade Banana Bread! Every morning I was purchasing a loaf to take as snack during skiing. Employees were extremely helpful with their knowledge about the menu and we had plenty of options. It was before hitting the slopes when we stopped by. This place is next To Starbucks. They have a buy one get one bread( bagels)deal all day everyday! Bad food, worse service. I've never been able to finish anything I've bought here due to it just not being great. Then their staff has absolutely no people skills. The cashier with the beard wouldn't look at me, was doing other things including getting himself a drink before and while talking to me, and they didn't seem very sanitary. I walked in and was standing at the front for a couple minutes while the chefs were in the back just starring at me. No one said welcome or even hello! When the cashier finally did talk, I couldn't even hear him! His back was turned to me half the time and the other half he was looking at something else. Only time we made eye contact is when he gave me a very rude negative answer. No unfortunately or my apologies added. Just a quick denial. After a long day of skiing and being too unable to eat dinner, I woke up starving around 6:30 am and found Avon was a short walk from our lodging and I was able to order online right when they open at 7 am. I was craving something hearty so French toast on home made bread was a slam dunk. And they for sure did not skimp on the bacon - I didn't take a photo when I first started eating bc I didn't think I would leave a review but this was exactly what I needed so thank you Avon bakery!! The only about my visit was I forgot my wallet and cards and they don't accept Apple Pay so I couldn't get a chocolate croissant or their bread slices they had at the counter that looked absolutely divine! One day we went around 10:00 am and a lot of the bakery items were sold out. One thing I was very disappointed in was they didn't have any hot chocolate. SO happy I looked up at the last minute before walking into Starbucks to buy yet another burnt coffee and saw the wonderful little gem in Avon. The Avon Bakery and Deli is a true bakery AND it's organic! I had the croissant and it was toasty buttery and delicious. Topped it off with a fresh brewed coffee. Best bagel sandwich I have ever had! My son was equally as happy with his plain bagel and cream cheese.

We loved our sandwiches but they got our order wrong. Some things were left out so check your bag before you leave the parking lot. After a couple of phone calls they did say they would credit my card. Our sandwiches were outstanding! The veggies were very fresh as was the bread. The smoked turkey with provolone and spicy mayo was delicious! Don't bother with the blondies. They tasted like they were full of preservatives. Not good at all. We also had the everything bagels. I come from the Westernslope had nothing but praise for the amazing bakery and deli unfortunately over the years things have changed I stopped in two days ago and was pleasantly surprised by lack of customer service a simple sandwich took over 45 minutes to make I was not informed it would take that long and the sandwich was finally delivered not properly made I sure hope that this message will be relayed to the owners day employees were not on task and I would hate to have to stop coming here because the food is lovely unfortunately the customer service has gone downhill The coffee was ice cold also extremely disappointing hope this will change in the future read more
