I called and was told it was cause they dropped it and accidentally broke it. They did not have any Apple screens, so the person manning the counter assured me that the generic one is just as good. Sadly, once the screen was replaced, a bunch of things started to go wrong. My face recognition was only working on and off, so half of my apps weren't accessible. The phone started overheating, so it was constantly going into power save mode - dark screen. Battery life went from 83% on the day of repairs to under 50% within days. I went back there and asked for an Apple screen - I was willing to pay the difference. The clerk assured me that he will call me as soon as he gets them in (a few days). Long story short, we are past 30 day mark now and still no call. As a side note, I ended up going to another repair shot in WeHo. They ran some tests and told me that whoever "fixed" my phone was a butcher. Nothing aligned properly, so the phone wasn't even properly recognizing the screen. They took it out and properly replaced the screen with an Apple screen. And guess what?? I FINALLY got my phone back! Facial recognition works! No more overheating, so the screen is not permanently dark. And battery life is at 82% as of the time of this review. So do yourselves a favor, don't cut corners and go to a place that won't screw up your device. I sure learned my lesson.

I brought my iPad Pro in with two separate issues. The first issue was resolved within one day. The second issue was the cracked/smashed screen that I've been dealing with for weeks. Within seven hours of the repair, the screen was no longer sitting flush with the phone, the display stopped working, and my phone began overheating severely and shutting off periodically. I took the phone back to the store, but the owner wasn't there. I explained everything to the sales associate, and he told me there was nothing they could do because they couldn't guarantee the phone would work properly after the repair. I asked for a refund, but they refused. I then requested that they reinstall my original screen, and they did--but they still refused to refund my money. The customer service was also disappointing. While they weren't disrespectful to me personally, I watched them argue with and speak very disrespectfully to an elderly woman who was trying to get help. It was completely unprofessional. I would not waste my time or my money at this business. I highly recommend going directly to Apple instead, which is exactly what I did. Apple charged me essentially the same price, provided a 90-day warranty, and even extended it for an additional three months. Save yourself the frustration and go to Apple. This place is a joke.
