I'm not truly sure how to describe the amazing work Ryan does. I've had two sessions with Ryan in the last few months. I work full time and train as a bodybuilder so my body is always in extreme stress both mentally and physically, with lots of aches and tightness. He becomes so in tune with your body and he spends his time where your body expresses need. I was an aching, knotted up mess before a massage with Maya. 3 months post knee replacement I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to lie prone. I had pain in the IT band area and something weird was going on with one shoulder. After 90 minutes in Maya's warm, gentle yet firm hands I was 100 % better. She was caring, attentive and skilled. I have been getting massages done for years, Ryan is by far the best massage therapist I have ever had. Each massage is designed for what my body needs that day. He always listens to what I need and ask for each time. His reiki massages have healed me and given me true relaxation not only during the massage but in every day life as well. I have been to several chiropractors and physical therapist over the last year in search for relief from sciatic pain related to lower back issues/muscle spasms. Mackenzie does wonders! I've seen her three times now and each time has been fabulous. She finds my trouble areas in minutes and incorporates many techniques (stretching, cupping, deep tissue) to treat those spots. She always has great recommendations after the massage as well for things I can do on my own. She's definitely the best massage therapist I've been to in Richmond.
