We bought three suitcases (Briggs & Riley) and we are not disappointed. In fact, we went back to ask some advice on a warranty issue (from airline-inflicted damage), only to be so pleased, we bought another suitcase. They deliver on their promises. I said, "well... the law says you have to honor your price." Fine. It wasn't a big difference. Then she told me that the third item was also priced incorrectly. I repeated, nicely, "But the law says...." She told me, "I don't know if I can do that." Started arguing with me -- told me the manufacturer doesn't discount their stuff, "it's a family business!" etc. -- and I just kept repeating, "But the law." I wasn't angry or even snippy. She got increasingly wound up. Then she called her manager. By the end of the call, she was apologizing to him or her, and sold the item at the priced marked. Then she accused me of making a habit of going to stores to cheat them! "I bet you've done this before! I bet you do this kind of thing on purpose! This is just a family business!" I just waited quietly for my receipt while she continued telling me, loud enough for everyone else to hear, what a horrible person I am, implying that I'm some kind of bad person and thief. Here's my message for the store: don't blame me for your mistakes. That law exists for a reason. It's to protect customers from a business deliberately writing "$9.99" on the price tag and then telling you, "oh, it's really $19.99!" I get that mistakes are made, but you are responsible for them, not me. My family also ran a business (for decades), and this particular pricing scam was common in the industry. If we made a pricing mistake, we ate it, without saying a word to the customer. There's a new 2024 California law that forces all businesses (especially hotels, car rentals) to display the full price, including junk fees. This law applies to ALL businesses and it's proof that the problem continues. I'll shop at Stern's from now on. The guy who runs that store really knows his stuff -- and he's also really nice.

Unless they come out with a color you simply must have or decide you need a different size, that is. The cost is really the only negative. My husband's old suitcase started falling apart, and my friends suggested this brand because he wanted to get something that would last, and we found a model that had some features we didn't know a suitcase could have that he really liked. The staff at the store are helpful and thankfully not at all pushy, which I appreciate. We ended up going home to think on it and then came back when my husband made his decision. They do a little monogram for free, and you can choose the color of the monogram, and they also gave my husband a free luggage tag. The lifetime warranty for repairs etc. certainly seems to indicate that they stand by the sturdiness of their product. I am impressed with the features of his suitcase and am admittedly jealous we didn't know about this when I needed to replace my previous suitcase a couple of years ago, but as I have a new and functioning suitcase I can't justify making the purchase now (especially at those prices)... But perhaps when mine is on its last legs, this is where I will go for my next suitcase. May need to start saving up for it now, though, LOL!

They wanted to verify I selected the correct shipping method (overnight with massive shipping fee). Somehow Zuca made it all work out and shipping ended up being cheaper than expected. The luggage? I'm absolutely in love with this design. My bags have survived multiple airline cargos and overhead bins. Nothing has been dented or smashed in. When I check my bags the counter, staff always ask me about them. I love that the design is compact, sturdy, offers a spare seat when people take up 10 seats to sleep at the airport, and are easy to spot- even when you have the covers protecting your investment. Completely sold by this company and can't wait to do some international flights with my bags when the time comes.

I walked over to the second young man and he looked at me and walked right past me. Your quintessential small travel store…read more For a small size they have tons of merch. I needed a RFID blocking wallet for our trip to Turkey and Italy and its hard to get a feel for the sizes. I wanted to see how they felt in my pants as it were. They had the one I needed and the lady working the store was super helpful and offered up some practical suggestions. As I noted above the store is loaded but despite its small size it does not feel cluttered. Customer service is on point. Prices are in line with everybody else. As noted in a few reviews this store is a bit hidden away at the mall but if you need travel stuff its truly a gem.

It was pretty instant. As soon as I entered the order, one of the store associates was about to fulfill our order when we just told him that it was in our hands. So we didn't wait at all as it wasn't a busy day. He packed up our shirts and then just verified my order with my ID and we were off. S E R V I C E Returns was seemless and easy. Ordering online and pick up was also very quick. Again it's also because it wasn't super busy when we did our order so it was instantaneous.
