I usually work with Kimmy who is really chill and has helped make great recommendations of accessories and different samples to try out. This visit I was blown away by how kind and professional Regina is! As I walked in she warmly welcomed me by name! I was absolutely shooketh and super appreciative of this (first time in my life this has ever happened) and by how much time she dedicated to let me pick my birthday candle and tell me about upcoming scents and events. Jaison was so patient with a calm demeanor and well-informed about the scents and their inspirations. We went through scent profiles and we were able to hone in on a few scents that I'm sure my friend would love and so quickly without feeling rushed. No time was wasted on scents not of interest, open to all of my questions and felt that his input really helped me dial in on my purchase. What I love about Diptyque is not only is everything sophisticated, but unisex and can be layered to create a scent of your own. Love the story and graphics behind each scent as well. Ended up purchasing the Limited Edition Orpheon and a Discovery Set. The Discovery format is perfect for travel and gives you a bit more than a sampler to experience a few scents before committing to a full size. The variety is a bit limited on this one, but still a good option. Received samples and the gift was wrapped beautifully. My friend's name was stamped perfectly on the gift box as well. I enjoy warm florals, musky, woody, and powdery scents. More so clean and skin scents. A few of my faves from my visit: L'Eau Papier, L'eau de Neroli, Do Son, Philosykos, Fleur De Peau, Eau Des Sens and Vetyverio. If your scent profile is similar, please check these out! Agnes is one of the best Sales Associate that ever helped me at any perfume store. Everyone knows that buying a perfume isn't easy. You have to find to perfect scent. You can take forever finding the scent and Agnes was so patient with me and my friends. Yes, that's 3 people to attend to on the week before Christmas, so the store was packed! I told Agnes the smell i was looking for and it turns at Olene is my true scent. The best part was, she wasn't pushy, she didn't try to sell me scents that she knew I won't like. Fast Forward to February, I wasn't able to pick up my bday order from the storm and i explained it to Agnes. She was so understanding, she allowed to have my friend to pick it up for me and few in some samples. I appreciate her going above and beyond for me! My experience was fine overall until I encountered a very sassy young man who told me they couldn't box my purchases, which really surprised me. The whole reason my family and I love gifting Diptyque is because of how gracefully and beautifully each gift is usually presented. His attitude came off rude and dismissive and I did not appreciate it. Updating my review after my most recent visit! Agnes and another sales associate (didn't catch her name but her initials were BC after a short conversation about engraving lol!) were at the store today, and what a refreshing duo! I ended up purchasing 2 perfumes, a candle, and a hair perfume as bridesmaids gifts today, and it was such a lovely visit. I went with a friend this time, and we walked around the store and chatted about all the options. I never felt rushed or pressured to purchase a product. BC was very kind and helped us monogram the two perfumes, and she was very meticulous about the wrapping and explained how she would wrap everything to perfection. It did take an extra bit of time, but I didn't mind since I knew these were going to be wrapped meticulously this time. BC even thought ahead and marked which gift boxes had which product so I didn't need to open them up later from it's pretty wrapping to know who to give what - WOW! Amazing customer service. She even gave both me and my friend some perfume and candle samples. This is the service I remember and will definitely be back for! A standard sized candle is $72, so it's definitely giving... rich, expensive, and luxurious vibes for the price. There's also frangrance mists and perfumes. My favorite scents were definitely the fruity and florals. Roses, Gardenia, and Mimosa were excellent. Great entry level luxury candles. I had the worst experience today. I came in 25 minutes to closing pretty much knowing what I wanted, but wanted to smell the perfumes as I was interested in possibly purchasing a perfume as well. The cashier looked annoyed immediately upon me entering the store. She then let me know that she would be at the cash register when I'm ready. Didn't even ask if I needed assistance or anything. While I was browsing she was counting the cash register!! I had not even been in the store for more than 5 minutes and there was still a good amount of time until closing. The associate does not reflect this brand well at all and should consider working somewhere that requires little to no customer interaction. I actually regret buying something from her and should have waited another time to make my purchase. read more

I'm reading a recent review and just need to say something. I've gone to Diptyque Valley Fair and have been serviced by Jovanni who is always courteous and knowledgeable about the company's products. He represents the company very well -- very professional and customer service oriented. My mom had bought a bunch of items from him at Nordstrom and always asks for him until we realized he was at the Diptyque company store now. He consistently delivers exemplary customer service which is something that Nordstrom prides itself on. The question I ask Julie J. is why are you picking on a service employee to the degree that you're currently doing? You seem to want to slander his name because it probably makes you feel better or maybe another reason? Or maybe you're a Karen? I think it's very suspect that you're trashing him, and while saying you'll never return to that location, you go back and indirectly trash him again by trying to publish a retreat post while trying to say his colleagues offer better service. Very suspect. Very slanderous. Very uncool. Service industry employees work very hard at their jobs. People like you make it hard for them because you think you're...privileged. Came here earlier today around 7-8 ish pm. The store was so beautiful and it smells so good in there. I met Jason, a wonderful employee who spent his time explaining different perfumes to me and didn't rush me at all! He was a great conversationalist, and I felt really confident in my purchase because of him and the other person working there ( didn't catch the other person's name ) Jason took the time to carefully wrap the product in a gorgeous box, and I just thought I was going to walk away with a normal bag. He was so sweet for that. Jason also took note of the fragrances I liked and had me sample ones that I will definitely be adding to my collection. The people here are wonderful. In searching for some limited edition candles I called the Valley Fair Diptyque to see if they had any still available. I LOVE the day that I discovered Regina! She was so very helpful and able to secure a few of the limited edition candles even though they were scarce. She was very communicative and warmly let me know which scents they did have in stock. She explained how to use and sent over the pay link so quickly! At the end of the conversation, I asked if there were any samples or ways for her to share a scent with me. Specifically the scents for the car inserts. While there is no way to sample the car scents beads, Regina quickly thought that she could spray some of the scents on the paper scent stick and put them in my package. (As they were out of the specific tester sizes of the fragrance for the car beads.) The box just arrived and I was THRILLED to be able to try out different little scent sticks to see which is my favorite for my car to see which I would like to go with. She went above and beyond to include some other scent paper stick with other candle scents I was not sure I would like. I will go out of my way to shop through Regina again! I've been visiting and ordering from the diptyque store at Valley Fair since 2020, and i've almost always been pleased with my experience. While stock levels are still an issue - not their fault, of course - what IS available is always of incredible quality and backed by the usual lovely service. It's a big contrast from most of the luxury offerings at Valley Fair. I've also had multiple orders shipped to me during the worst of COVID, including the infamous City Candles, and the process is always painless with items shipped the day of release (if not before). The boutique's employees are always friendly and knowledgeable, and there's plenty to see in the small space. The team and Regina especially make the at times head spinning (in a good way) process of choosing your scent welcoming and fun. Regina is incredibly knowledgeable and patient as I treated myself to L'Eaus my third Diptique eau de toilette. Last week, I visited Diptyque and Amanda helped me find a new perfume! I told her I really loved the eau rose sample she gave me my last visit and that I wanted something different for myself. She was SO helpful and patient with me. I have a really sensitive nose so she accommodated. It was pretty busy that day but Amanda still took her time with me and I did not feel rushed at all. I had a great 1st and 2nd visit here with Regina and Forest respectively, however my most recent experience at this location left much to be desired. Regina was very sweet the first time I visited, and when I told her it was my very first time in a Diptyque boutique, she really helped me out and let me try all the scents. I didn't end up buying anything that day, but walked away with a great experience knowing I would come back at some point. The second time I visited, Forest helped me out with candles and he was funny and very helpful. He let me smell all the candles with my husband and I walked away with two of them (love how they smell in my home!). The third and most recent time my husband and I visited, I was greeted, but no one really helped me. They were a little bit busier that day, but not so much to where there wasn't anyone available to help. Forest was working that day (remembered him because of his helpful nature during my previous visit), but he wasn't very helpful. I kept trying to get someone to help me since I wanted to purchase a lotion, but everyone was either going back and forth between the back room and the floor, or they were with someone else. No one asked if I need help or told me they would be with me after their current customer. I waited about 10 min for help before I just decided to walk out. I won't return for awhile and will instead purchase from Diptyque online. Maybe I'll visit on less busy days instead. read more

Low rating due to a very unfortunate interaction with the store's staff. My friend and I visited to check out the scents, and I decided I wanted to purchase some perfume. I told the sales rep I'd like to purchase one of the bottles, and he responded saying "I'm sorry - we don't have any more samples." Never had I mentioned wanting samples, so it made no sense that he would assume I was asking for one. As a Black shopper, we are often treated differently in higher end stores like this one. I ended up correcting him and purchasing the $100+ perfume, but that interaction - his assumption that I couldn't or wouldn't buy the actual product - left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

Okay, so I am on a mission to find my favorite perfumes this year, and I honestly didn't know where to start, but if you have the opportunity, stop into this diptyque and ask for Forrest. He was sooo helpful!! And he knew nothing just his products, he is so knowledgeable about other scents so when you tell him you like something, he knows what kind of scent that is and can help you find something similar. It was my third perfume store of the day, but the one I spent the most time in and also had the most fun in. I can't wait for my next trip out there, so we can stop back in! read more

This store is the epitome of customer service, so much that I keep coming back more for the people than the products themselves, although everything they sell is absolutely fantastic. But the team is fantastic, so knowledgeable, excited to tell you the stories behind the products, and a good story will make me buy anything so I do buy A LOT at this store. Regina is wonderful, very bubbly, down to earth and on top of everything. I always have a good laugh with her. Boyana is also super nice and always so excited to show you everything. Forest loves to tell you everything about the products and seems truly passionate about the brand. THEY make me come back to this location all the time, I have so much loyalty I can't purchase at other stores, they're that good. Yes they do have stock issues as mentioned in other reviews, but it's not a situation they want to be in, nor the brand I'm sure. This review sounds very over the top, but it is a genuine one.
