With the amount of work that goes in to proximity keys I was stunned by the $150 up charge for an older car. Originally I was going to get a spare key for my 2017 Acura but have decided that I wanted to get my civic keys done as a priority. I was left stranded at one point a couple days after the service and then the car miraculously started after 45 minutes of trying to get the key to work and his response was "it probably needs a new battery" even though it's a brand new key with a "new battery". The battery was not replaced by him even though I was told there was a "warranty". Sometimes my car wouldn't recognize the key, sometimes the car wouldn't unlock, sometimes while I'm driving the car will say "warning key not detected". Nonetheless I ended up going to Toyota to get a replacement key since this one does not work at all. I don't recommend using this service unless things change.
