I walked in to this place on my lunch break. I'm evaluating new nail places near my job. I asked them to fix one of my nails which had just broken - and figured I could evaluate the job and see if I wanted to make this my new place. There were two customers and three employees when I walked in. My daughter picked this shop based on the Yelp reviews. I called and made 3 appts. for us to get our nails done for her wedding. She got a gel French manicure, her sister got a regular manicure, and I paid $3 extra for the longer lasting OPI polish. We got our nails done on Thursday 9/14. The gel and the regular still look great. Mine started flaking on Saturday and I will try to attach pictures of what they looked like today. Big flakes of polish came off. I think the technician forgot my base and top coats or something... The service was very good but I cannot recommend the upgraded OPI polish at all. Very disappointing for me. read more

It's a small small place. I've been a few times and this is what I've seen: 3 or 4 massage chairs with two people doing pedicures, sometimes one depending on the time. One lady who does acrylics. Don't know if the others are trained to at least do manicures. Make an appointment because this place is small. The lady is good at what she does. Giving a one star because I had to go back not once but twice for them to fix gel nail polish both on my hands and feet that chip two days after service . I walked out the second time and paid to get everything done again at my normal spot. Super inconvenient because I have to find sitter for my children when I go and that alone costs me . Found my new GO to place! i went in with a friend for a meni-pedi on a thursday afternoon. The staf was friendly and made sure you got what you wanted with out trying to up sell you anything or do it their way like most places. i give them 5 startsfor theyre Cleanliness!!!!! They opened up the instruments right infront of you , i work in the medical field and knowing that they sterilize the instruments is always a + , not only that but right at closing time two guys came in and started washing the bowls where they do the pedi's ! ive never seen that done else where! read more

Went in today and Lien JACKED my nails. You'd think it would be hard to make one's nails shittier than upon entering the establishment, but it IS possible. Before I knew what was happening Lien cut my nails way past the pink so much so that my fingers actually started hurting. If that offense wasn't enough, her cut was crooked so my forefinger nail is completely tilted. Then she painted them and left more an about a milimeter around all edges. Absolutely disgusting. And the owner decided to charge me the full amount even though I have patronized this establishment for over a year. Avoid at all costs. Employees are distracted and will jack your nails if you aren't vigilant and the owner doesn't have the integrity to right a wrong. This is the first review I've ever done bc I feel the need to warn others. Take your business elsewhere or face the possibility your nails will look literally shittier than when you arrive. Terrible place! Don't waste your money and go somewhere else. My nails don't look like I had a manicure at all. They look like I painted them myself. Plus the polish was way too thin. You can see patches with barely any polish on them. The very next day, the polish started coming off. I'll never return here. Even if it was free. No way. read more

Had my nails done here today by a gal whose named stared with a J. Not impressed for a number of reasons... I had no polish on one of my nails and she started filing the top with a nail file and I said no do not file the top and she's like well there is polish and continued to do so and finally pulled out the remover to finish the nail like she should have to begin with...when it came time my the massage that lasted a total of 10 seconds she just put lotion on my hands and wiped it off. Use to go to a shop in Pleasant Hill but within the last year all the employees who's been there for years all disappeared. Don't get me wrong the new workers were nice but it wasn't the same. So I decided to go on Yelp to find a new shop in Walnut Creek and found this place. I didn't know which nail lady to go to but after reading several reviews a lot of women recommended Lin (sp?). Lin is such a sweet lady. I'm sure the other ladies are nice and sweet too but Lin is my go to. The last time I came here, I called a day before to make an appointment and sure enough Lin was free which was so convenient for me and my schedule. i visited this salon today because it sounded from other reviews that most people were happy with their experiences and they gave attention to detils and used sterilized tools in a clean environment. when i got to the salon, i realized this was also my second visit to the salon and the design on my 2 big toes had lasted ~6 months. so, as you can see, i do not do pedicures frequently. well, this visit was really horrible. i ended up with cuts that bled on 3 toes, the only way i got all the dirt out from under my 2 big toes was to do it myself and the pedicurist tried to begin a massage while i was still trying to get the dirt out from under the nails even though i asked her to stop the so called massage. also, the pedicurist spoke very poor english and did not understand simple statements as asking her to wait on the massage until i finished cleaning the nails, did not understand the simple design that i wanted for the 2 big toes and or when i asked her to apply more pressure - rub harder - with the massage. i did give the pedicurist - tammy - a tip because i know her salary is low!. however, i will never go back to this salon again and i certainly do not recommend this salon to anyone!! also, this is the very first time i have ever written a review for anything but i feel so strongly about my awful experience, i felt it was absolutely necessary!!! read more
