I do not recommend this program, especially for families seeking consistent support for children with ADHD. My son started off with a strong foundation in this program, and for the first couple of months, things felt really promising. But after the holidays, everything fell apart. We were unassigned from a tutor and left waiting on one teacher's return, while the interim tutor had no understanding of my son's needs and just gave him random, unstructured exercises. There was no communication, no continuity, and no accountability. The only meeting we had was one that I had to chase down and schedule. At that meeting, I was told we'd receive a follow-up by the end of March. It's now almost the end of April. I followed up again and was told someone would reach out. No one did. What's most frustrating is that we were sold a program that included regular performance check-ins, progress updates, and personalized support tailored to my son's executive functioning challenges. We completed all the onboarding and surveys with that in mind. None of that actually happened. The gap between what we were promised and what we received is massive, and this is after paying thousands of dollars each month. We were sold a dream: a well-rounded, thoughtful, and attentive program. What we got was inconsistency, poor communication, and a lack of care during a time my son genuinely needed reliable support. Parents, please be cautious. If you're looking for structure, follow-through, and actual accountability, I would not recommend working with this business. read more

Warning! Something has significantly changed with this company, and I am warning families to be careful with signing up for automatic payments or subscriptions. After cancelling our subscription, due to the issues listed below, we were told the payment would be refunded. Instead, they billed the next session to our credit card. After multiple attempts to reach someone with the authority to refund both payments, I finally called the credit card company to dispute and stop payment. Again, with many many emails and unreturned phone calls, even to the CEOs, the bank was able to settle the dispute after almost 6 months. The owners may be Harvard Grads, but something does not feel quite right, and they do not seem to be active in the business. After a year of sessions, I asked for an assessment of our daughter's progress. We received what seemed like a lot of "mumbo jumbo" of data and words, without evidence of progress that we could track. Within a week following the assessment, our daughter's tutor, with whom she had built a good relationship, was let go. With no notice, she was assigned a new tutor, and the only time slot they could offer was late Friday evening. We decided it was not a substantial value, so we cancelled. We put our trust in axiom to help support our son with executive functioning skills and overall academic support and they fell very very short. Lack of communication, no follow through with goal setting, no updates. The only time we heard from them is when our hours were ending and they wanted more business. If we didn't have to commit to a package, we would have quit after the first few sessions. We paid $200/h for below average support. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere as you can get much better support out there for your child for this kind of money. I hope others don't fit into the same trap. read more

Axiom is wonderful. My 6 yo had some attention issues, but the doctors ruled out any specific medical condition and attributed it to his age, being a boy etc. His ability to concentrate and focus did not improve throughout the school year, so I decided to do something about it. I saw Axiom's website and talked to Alexia over the phone. My son then went through a very thorough evaluation followed by a meeting to discuss the report and learning plan. After their 70 hour program, his attention/focus, visual/auditory processing, and reading skills improved tremendously. The teachers were SUPER patient, knowledgeable, and fun! They were also very familiar with working with younger children (K/Grade 1). The admin also tried to accommodate our busy schedule, which was very nice. I did not know what to expect when we started, but I am so glad we decided to do the program. They have two locations--Los Altos and Menlo Park. Both were great. read more

I had my son signed up for ACT test preparing session with Axiom when he was the second semester of junior year, the most busiest period of high school. He was not satisfied his previous test score and seems got stuck there. I had been looking for so many cram schools, and most of classes required the student to sit through the whole day and taking the classes they already good at. With Axiom, their first diagnostic test and analysis (both free) already impressed me, it's not only professional, but also found the weakness right on spot. The sessions and time are completely tailored for my son's need, so he could manage the time to take all the others AP tests, final etc. As the other reviewers mentioned, the Axiom team cares about student, for example, my son had 24 hours tennis marathon for charity fund raising, he was exhausted next day but still attended the Axiom session. They found out and gave us the additional session and want to make sure the student has the best condition to absorb from class. BTW, my son got the ACT score he is very happy about, and there are just too many good things to mentions. To sum it up, I am very glad that I don't need to search for the test preparing tutoring anymore and I will definitely sign up my younger son when he is ready. read more

Axiom is a true godsend. My daughter started struggling academically, for the first time, in 4th grade, and it was really affecting her self-esteem. I couldn't put my finger on the reason, and at first I thought it was perhaps just because she was young for her grade. I received a flyer in the mail about Axiom's Learning Efficiency programs, which addressed core processing and executive functioning skills. I was confused as I only thought of Axiom as a place that helped with ACT and SAT test prep, but in reading about core processing skills, suspected that my daughter could be struggling in that capacity. I went in, told them about my observations of my daughter's struggles, and within no time not only was she scheduled for an assessment, but with the assessment results was a detailed plan of action. Thankfully, before I even fully understood the implications of her learning struggles, Axiom had a plan and was working with her to achieve the goals set out. Literally, everyone at Axiom is super positive, supportive and attentive to the needs of their clients. My daughter loves going to Axiom, and I have definitely seen her confidence, self-esteem, performance and perseverance measurably increase. With Axiom's help, she is experiencing the reward of knowing that as she puts in the hard work, she does see improvements. Along the way, they have also been a compassionate "listening ear" to my fears and concerns as a parent. Some of my daughter's difficulties have already been resolved thanks to Axiom. While some others won't magically disappear, Axiom is effectively helping her "shore up" in those areas. She is also learning tools and strategies to help her as she learns to advocate for herself in the classroom and beyond. I am extremely thankful for Axiom. Through their knowledge and expertise, not only have they directly and tangibly helped my daughter, they have also helped me to better understand her and her struggles, which has helped me to be a better parent. There are other places that do a subset of what Axiom does, but Axiom provides an excellent and comprehensive set of services for kids who are struggling academically regardless of the underlying reasons. read more

I initially went to Axiom for assistance in executive functioning during my sophomore year of high school and it helped me to improve my executive functioning skills, and I noticed that my performance in school increase as a result. The teachers at Axiom are truly invested in the success of their students and take great care of those under their tutelage. My teacher, Adela, was a true joy to work with and helped me greatly in achieving my goals. I then used Axiom for SAT prep and assistance in my college applications. Both of these paid off immensely, as I was able to score 1540 on my SAT and get into my first choice school, Claremont McKenna. My daughter went there, and they are so welcoming and teach the best! The one thing that I thought was neat was at the beginning of each session, they would play a card game to get students warmed up. They would work for an hour, take a break by playing another round of a game, then they would work for another hour! This is a great place, and I would recommend this place to anybody. read more

My teenage daughter came here for EF coaching over the summer. There are many places that offer EF coaching in the area and I was unsure whether or not we should try Axiom, especially given the price. We did, and I am very glad we did so. My daughter did not want to do the EF coaching and was not amenable to going, as many 13 year olds would be. However, the therapists that she worked with there, Andrew and Amber, were so friendly, caring, and personable, that they actually made it fun for her. She would often come home with stories about what she had done with them and how interesting it was. My daughter just started school a few weeks ago and I have noticed that her study habits are better, she has more self-control, and she is better at keeping her emotions in check. In addition to the excellent therapy that my daughter received at Axiom, I want to highlight that Axiom is very well organized and efficient. They did an initial assessment of my daughter before she started therapy and provided me with a report after her therapy so I could see where she improved and where they felt she still needed more support (and they provided recommendations for ongoing support). Moreover, the person handling the coaching schedule, John-Aaron, was very responsive, detailed, and proactive. I highly recommend Axiom. read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Stephenie Lee and the other staff at Axiom. This place isn't just for test prep and extracurricular tutoring. Axiom also offers assessment and treatment of cognitive and developmental delays as well as focus and attention issues, which my daughter has. The level of care and attention that the Axiom staff has provided for my daughter and my family is unsurpassed and one that I have never experienced in any other clinic (and I have been around the block or two when it comes to special needs clinics for my daughter). Stephenie, especially, has gone above and beyond in making sure that my daughter experiences success in her sessions. The programs and treatments are not only scientifically supported, but there's also a lot of heart and soul in how Stephenie interacts with my daughter. At Axiom, my daughter isn't just another client with issues that need to be resolved. There, she is a young lady who is very unique, possessing a wealth of latent talents and capabilities. In the six months since my daughter started going to Axiom, she has become much more focused and aware of her potential. She has learned to control her impulses and pay attention to subtle social cues and nuances. I can't say enough about Axiom Tutoring. My daughter recently completed an HSPT prep course with Axiom and took her test in January. Stephanie Lee, the head of the Los Altos center provided exemplary service from my initial phone call to our last visit. Before completing her 8 week tutoring course with Axiom my daughter was scoring 40-60% correct on her practice tests. We just received her results and her scores increased to almost 85% across the board. Axiom provided both practical test taking assistance as well as a very focused course of learning that helped my daughter in every area she needed help. Sophia her tutor was kind, patient and supportive. We live in a highly competitive area and the little known secret is that a huge majority of students are using tutoring services for school and test prep. We have had a great experience at Axiom Learning in Los Altos. Stephanie, Matt and team are extremely dedicated to the students. Our son started with SAT/ACT prep last year and had very good results. After completing the tests, our son continued working with Matt on the college application process, this was extremely helpful as he was able to send all his applications in early. Matt and Stephanie are in-tune with the needs of each student and they genuinely care about them. The one-on-one sessions have helped our son not only academically, but also increased his confidence and improved his time-management skills. Another great thing about Axiom is that they are very flexible with scheduling and accommodate around the kids' schedule. Our daughter, who is a junior in college took a short GRE prep course with Axiom while she was on Christmas break, which helped her get a very solid score on the test. My goodness, I wish I came to Axiom sooner. I've been tutored here for over a year now, and the support, patience, and, of course, expertise of all the instructors has given me a sense of home and family that has driven me to success I didn't think was possible. High school was rough in senior year as I had make-up work from both junior and senior year by the end. (I had missed a lot of school due to sickness.) However, Axiom's thorough tutoring and organization techniques allowed me to get back on track and graduate with pride - they even came to celebrate my graduation with me! Right now, I am taking a gap year and working on college applications, alongside my brother, and we're both making exceptional progress. As for the environment, the motivation and friendliness among the tutors and tutees makes working quite enjoyable. Each tutor caters to the needs and work habits of the students, knowing when to take breaks and when to keep going and explaining concepts and feedback in the most positive and comprehensive way possible.
