10/10 would recommend this place. I have gotten 2 tattoos from here already with Xander. The shop it's self is nice and even though it's in PB I haven't really had a problem with parking. Everyone is nice and it seems they each have their own niche. While I have been there I notice they all seem to be very friendly, informative and honest. Xander is great. My first tattoo here was a silhouette of my kids and he recently just did a floral wrap on my arm and this wrap will eventually finish my sleeve. I appreciate that he takes his time. He had a couple of suggestions I didn't think about, that I honestly think makes the tattoo look better than what I initially envisioned. Mari is awesome! First time getting a *real* tattoo and she helped me thru the entire process. I've had a small stick-and-poke on my sternum that I was tired of seeing and I wanted to cover it up with a gladiolus flower. I had a very specific type of style/detail for the vision, and Mari perfectly matched it with her own art. I felt super comfortable in their establishment and felt like I was in good hands. The entire place just has a good vibe to it, everyone was happy and chatting and it totally eased my nerves. To Mari's recommendation, I put on numbing cream beforehand and felt hardly anything!! It turned out beautiful and I literally cannot even find a hint of the old stick and poke beneath it. To anyone curious about the ballpark of pricing, for my tattoo (5 inches, good amt of detail, sternum area, blackwork), it was $250 plus the $50 deposit so a total of $300. Kinsey was so patient and kind while I tried to figure out what size and location I wanted. The tattoos came out exactly like we wanted them. She did a fantastic job. Went back a couple months ago for Shayla and she never misses!!!! I literally cannot go to anybody else because she does me so good and the shop and the rest of the artists are so nice and cool! I believe Shayla only does appointments which you can make with her by filling out an application on her IG (check it out for more pics and info!) But some of the artists take walk ins and I've seen some of their work in person and in their flash books(?) and everyone is so talented! Sometimes Shayla happens to have openings but she'll update those on her IG, which is how I got the two recent ones. Can't wait to come back for some new ones! read more

i've gotten a few tattoos here and it's become my go-to place in sd!! the vibes of the shop are so welcoming and comfy when you come in. i've only been on friday the 13ths so it has been a bit more busy but everyone was still very attentive and kind! being able to put my name and number down for a waitlist was super helpful, as i could get a snack in the area and come back with no issue. only ended up waiting around an hour and a half, even though i came later in the day! my first tattoo was a custom a couple months ago from mari, who did an amazing job making a little beetle for me as a memorial for my grandpa. she made me feel very comfortable and my little bug healed beautifully with no issues. yesterday i stopped by for a flash and ended up getting one from rivkah, who again was super sweet and took great care! i'm so happy with how my tattoo turned out and am excited to heal it up. the shop is also very clean (which is super important to me when it comes to tattoos and piercings!!) and you can tell they prioritize quality service and products--rivkah even took time to show me the needle she'd be using and that it was sealed and unexpired. i was very impressed!! tldr; the shop has an amazing atmosphere and amazing artists who make beautiful art. i highly recommend checking this place out and will be back for future pieces ‍ read more

BACK PIECE ISN'T FINISHED YET! BUT I need to write this review because I couldn't be happier with the process. I previously had an old larger tattoo on my back that I didn't love and I had been planning/saving up to get it covered for a while. When I got engaged it was go time to start the process so I can feel pretty on my wedding day. I had SEVERAL "cover up" artists flat out tell me no, it can't be done, I'm better off getting laser and I reached out to axiom with tears in my eyes just wanting someone to help me with this project. I have an amazing death moth on my shin from the bad ass talented Aiden and I thought maybe axiom knows SOMEONE who can help me. Travis took on my project with no questions asked and I have never felt like more of a bad bitch with how amazing it's come along. Travis is patient with me, makes me feel safe and accepted in his shop with whatever I need. We are doing this the right way with 3 hour sessions at a time and if you're looking for the chillest, most amazing, accepting, wonderful tattoo shop this is the place. I will be posting another rave review once we are complete because the picture doesn't do it justice I just felt snatched but I also plan on getting several pieces from axiom before my wedding day read more

this tattoo shop is great. All the artists are very creative and very talented. I spoke to three of the artists while getting my tattoo done yesterday and they're all very kind and sweet people. My tattoo artist Shayla was amazing. She made sure I was very comfortable during the whole session. She also offered water and breaks throughout my back tattooing session. However, all of the blowouts will not go away so I will have to find someone to clean up the technical errors all around my tattoo. A majority of the outlines are full of blowouts. It's a really great spot! I love the big red regal chair in the waiting area and neon sign. Travis greeted me and listened to my concept. I got my first tattoo ever (at age 53) just last week at Axiom Tattoo. IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A BETTER EXPERIENCE ON THE PLANET-- PERIOD. My daughter went with me and we got matching tattoos (her fourth, so she is seasoned), and Sindar was our artist. Sindar is incredible, both in talent and personality!! She is sweet, kind, made me feel at home and has oodles of talent in every pore of her body. First, I need to preface this by saying Travis was a funny, easygoing guy. The small shop was cool and we were safely distanced from the only other people there. Travis squeezed me in on short notice since all I wanted was a microscopic heart tattoo, and adjusted the price accordingly. However.... it's a tad lopsided. Had to take 2 stars off for that for other people's reference even though I honestly have come to love it and think it adds so much character (I do like my tattoos a little scribble-y).
