Quick bday tatt! They accommodated me on a walk in, mid afternoon on a weekday. I wanted a simple tattoo. Waited about 20 mins for the owner and he hooked me up. Giving 4 stars because I wasn't aware of the minimum. My fault for not asking, but I should've been told. Anyways $100minimum, at least what I was charged. Is that norm or overcharge? One of my friends wanted to get a Tattoo. He happened to come across an Instagram Reel and that's how we found Good Fortune Tattoo! The one time that when your phone listens to your conversations actually turned out to be good! Making an appointment was easy. Call the number, and they will give you another number to text (to send a photo of tattoo, size of tattoo, and where on the body). They come back with a quote, and then ask for deposit money if moving forward with appointment. There was availability like a week later (in December 2024). Alex, the shop owner, was the artist for my friend's angel tattoo. The shop itself was really clean. The tattoo artist will do a mockup of the tattoo, size, etc for visual approval before proceeding. Tattoo itself took a few hours with a break in between. Vibe was chill. Loved it! read more

Zhu is incredibly talented and honored my design request. I wanted a hummingbird and ice cream in color. She adjusted the vision and brought about a design that I really love. She's incredibly professional and focused and as you can see she did a great job on the coloring. Dylann is great with intake and made sure I was prepared for your session. This shop is everything and more...they just check all the boxes from super friendly service, a clean and inviting shop, responsive communication, and of course, a talented roster of artists. I had my tattoo done for my birthday by the amazing Zhu and it was such an amazing experience I'm already itching for another- literally and figuratively. She gave me an expert consultation that immediately made me trust her as an artist. My tattoo was vastly different from her usual style but she took ownership of it and killed it. Some tattoo shops can be intimidating especially when some artists are oozing with talent with a side of ego that nobody asked for, but this shop is not like that at all. It would be shocking if I ever search for another shop because I will only be coming back here for tattoos now. I will recommend this spot to anyone who asks. read more

I discovered Milan's work on Instagram and was immediately impressed by his artistic talent and expertise in realistic tattoos. When I met him, he was super cool and easy to talk to. After booking my appointment, we stayed in touch on Instagram, where he helped me refine my idea to create the perfect tattoo. This was my first tattoo, and Milan went out of his way to put my mind at ease. He explained everything clearly and reassured me with his "light touch," which he said makes his work less painful compared to a heavier hand. On the day of my session, I was excited but really anxious. Milan reassured me that it wouldn't be as bad as I expected, and once we started, he was amazing! It was a long session, but he kept checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable. He was extremely professional and mindful throughout the entire process. I also noticed that the other artists at Good Fortune create incredible work as well. I can't recommend Milan enough! I'm already planning to finish my sleeve with him. My wife and I went in on Halloween this year for their pin up specials. They had some very bad ass tats to choose from but we ended up creating our own. They were very accommodating and still charged us the pin up pricing. We were greeted upon entry but a very nice girl, who was super personable and welcoming. The artist were very attentive and interested in our art choices. All said in done, I highly recommend this place, my body is covered in tats and out of all the experiences this one stood out the most. The artist work is second to none, truly Fkn ART. Dark and straight lines, beautiful shading, super chill convos and vibes. I will def be taking all future project here. read more

I recently finished a full arm sleeve done by Milan (m.k.tattoo). Nothing but high praises for him and his talented work. I had followed his IG page for a while and I'm glad I decided to get the sleeve done by him. He's extremely nice and professional. All the reviews you read about him are all true. I had my first tattoo done here by a recommendation from a friend. I went big with two forearm tattoos so I was a little nervous and not knowing what to expect. I found Milan on Instagram and fell in love with his work. Realistic Artwork and Wonderful Details! I DM him, talking about a tattoo of an elephant and tiger along with some sample pictures. He responded immediately and we met at the shop. The shop's was vibing at our consult and all the other artists were nice and friendly so I immediately booked for a large tattoo on my right upper arm. Milan was amazing throughout this process. I found Good Fortune Tattoo by accident and I am so glad I did. I had been shopping around for a tatto parlor and most of them were non responsive. But then I found these guys. I walked in and met Max. Gave him my idea and came back right away with a few options. Picked it and got it done.. very happy with the results. I contacted Zhu with an idea because I really liked her neo-traditional style and use of colors. When I first arrived at the studio a Ukrainian gentleman helped me, I'm sorry i didn't catch his name he was very helpful and got me scheduled for the next day with Zhu. After arriving for my appointment Zhu had everything ready for me to pick the font for my name on my tattoo and she was very attentive to what I wanted and offered suggestions. Zhu took her time and made sure it matched to what I wanted. She payed attention to detail and didn't rush her work. She offered me breaks and drinks while I was getting tattooed. Aleksander the ukraine artist was very rude and seemed very bothered by me & my smallest simple requests. tattoo did come out alright I guess but wasn't what I truly wanted not to mention he showed up 2 HOURS LATE to a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT we had arranged!! Also was very fussy over nothing which left me confused... truly disappointed with his unprofessional attitude towards me especially since i was waiting forever for him. Will be taking my business else where for future projects. on top of that instead of addressing the unprofessional behavior from my review of my experience the owner says i'm lying smhhh shame on u!!!!!! i went to 7/11 across the street to get food bc ur artist made me wait over 2 hours for scheduled appointment two other tattoo artist there kept apologizing to me for the hold up so before u go and try discredit me get ur facts straight! goes to show how unprofessional u are when it comes down to ur costumers experience and my review will stay up because it's 1000% true read more

Our shop was officially established on January 1st, 2024. Everything happened very quickly! I (Alex, owner of Good Fortune Tattoo) worked in the United States for 3 years before opening my own studio. When the tattoo studio I was working at moved to a new location, I used the move as an opportunity to create my own shop, and we opened our Good Fortune Tattoo. Then came the search for the best team! Everything worked out wonderfully. My team is very strong and talented, with each artist standing out with their own unique style and technique. We strive to be the team that grows and improves every day. Now, we await your fantastic tattoo ideas while creating expressions of our own. Hello! My name is Oleksandr, but everyone calls me Alex. Tattooing has been my passion for many years. Over time, I’ve developed my own signature styles, including chrome and gold tattoos, while continuing to explore and grow as an artist. In January 2024, I opened Good Fortune Tattoo in San Diego. Together with a talented team of artists, we focus on creating custom tattoos and providing a great experience for every client who walks through our doors. Cool spot where the owner Mike also features his other business the Good Company Golf Club (will have to check out their sim another time). About 15 minutes later I was led back by my artist Zhu who was patient with the tweaks I wanted to make and communicated clearly the process. After 45 minutes my small piece was done and she also explained the after care instructions thoroughly. Cash only for their tattoo services but they have an atm in the waiting area for convenience.

He was quick to respond and asked for a $200 deposit, which I sent via Apple Pay on March 5 to the shop owner. We booked for March 16. Leading up to the appointment, he would send random updates on the design, but nothing was finalized. I gave feedback and stayed patient, even knowing they had a Friday the 13th event going on. I didn't hit him up again until March 15 (the day before my appointment) because we STILL didn't have a finished design, which is wild. He tells me he'll have it done that day. Cool. Then a few hours later, I get a generic email saying my appointment is canceled. No explanation. Nothing. So I reach out to the number I sent my $200 to asking for a refund, and instead of handling it like professionals, they get confrontational and start acting like I'm the problem for asking for MY money back. They try to hide behind a "no refund" policy... even though THEY canceled on me. Make that make sense. I added my conversation with the artist, since the owner wants to claim harassment. Judge for yourself. No policy was ever clearly shown to me, and communication was trash the entire time. Instead of owning their mistake, they blamed me and got disrespectful. I only got my money back after I told them I'd file a chargeback with my bank and take them to small claims court. Go read their bad reviews--you'll see a pattern, especially with how the owner talks to customers. Super unprofessional. Save your time, save your money, and go somewhere else.

I understand that everybodies anatomy is different and it could cause a slight tilt on the piercing but it's been weeks since I got the piercing and looking at it now with no more swelling or redness it is almost ridiculous how off the piercing is. It's very obvious and disappointing how crooked it is. I even went home to my home piercer and even he left a comment saying that it was done very poorly. Loved the service and friendliness but unfortunately Im going to take out the piecing let it heal and then get it redone somewhere else. I want to prefaced that I really hate leaving a bad review and I tried to convince myself that it was fine but honestly just the comments I get from my friends and even another piercer about how it looks just kind of made me feel like I needed to share my honest experience.

Super quick, let's you know what's happening and is obviously experienced. The shop is clean and well maintained and not intimidating at all. The walls are covered in flash to choose from, both historical American traditional and original handpainted flash by the artists. The place is basically a museum, its covered in history and amazing photos of Tahiti Felix himself. I recommend this place to everyone who asks about my tattoos.

My nails and cuticles still look great a week later and my classic pedi is still holding strong! Parking in this area can be a bit of a challenge but that's really the only downside. I'll definitely be returning and look forward to getting to know the staff more... I'll just ride the bus down 5th to get there to avoid parking issues next time lol

When my nail technician completed my manicure, she announced, "same!" as if she declared out-loud my powdered pearlescent nails are now magically transformed into the requested nude chrome color. I wish they would've told me upfront that this cannot be done. I would not request for anything out of the basic mani pedi here.

I recently inquired with a few shops in San Diego about a tattoo I wanted to get, but needed some help with a design. I reached out to Alex at Good Fortune Tattoo after finding him on instagram. Alex was quick with his response times, he drew up the design and I had added and changed my mind on parts, he would redesign it and send it back to me. Alex was super flexible and easy to communicate with. Right when I pulled in Alex came out to show me where to park. As soon as I was inside Alex and Chris made it a very welcoming environment. The shop itself is extremely clean. You can tell they take pride in their studio. Great choice of music and friendly atmosphere. Alex's work is incredible he cares about his work and clients. I'm looking forward to working with Alex again for another piece. I highly recommend Good Fortune Tattoo shop for your next tattoo. read more

I wanted to get an over the knee tattoo and my friend wanted a flower on her arm, we sent in a request and got in in the same day . When we got in they were all super nice and offered us water and candy. I and my friend both got exactly what we wanted and when it came to mine I had wanted it filled in but I underestimated how "spicy " it would be so I asked Sapien my tattoo artist if we could just do the outline instead after he had already done too letters with light outline, he was so sweet and understanding towards me being in pain and even saved the worst bit for last and talked to me distracting me and making it go faster. All and all it was an amazing experience and I'd highly recommend to anyone! read more

Good Fortune is an amazing tattoo studio! I walked in one afternoon and was greeted warmly. Such a welcoming studio! I was directed to Kallon, who does incredible fine line black and grey work. He fit me in the next day and was a great vibe to chat with while he tattooed. I am beyond stoked about how it turned out and he was great to work with. I have gone to good fortune tattoo for all 6 of my tattoos, and I have to say the energy/atmosphere of everyone in the building is unmatched, they properly cater to their customers by providing drinks/snacks/breaks when needed. Chris specifically is who I mostly goto for my ideas and he's never let me down. Chris keeps things extremely professional, while still making it an enjoyable experience to sit for 4 hours. Good Fortune is my go-to shop! It's clean, spacious, and I feel welcomed by everyone there. The pictures of the tattoos speak for themselves. Alex is an amazing artist and one of the only chrome artists in San Diego. The oldest of them is healed about 8 months and I've had no issues.
