I was excited to work with this artist on a large back tattoo, but unfortunately, the process ended up being disorganized and frustrating. I booked well in advance, had a consultation, and paid a deposit -- but the artist forgot about both the consultation and the actual appointment date when I followed up shortly before. When I asked to see a sketch ahead of time so I could give feedback (which seems pretty reasonable for a large, permanent piece - and when I made the appt a month prior he said he would send over a week or two before the appt), I was told I'd get a sketch 2 days before the session -- and that most clients don't see the design until the day of. When I expressed concern about not having time to process or make changes, I was brushed off with "That enough time." It felt rushed and dismissive. This was a pretty large cover up and I was uncomfortable seeing it 1-2 days prior. In the end, I canceled the appointment and forfeited my deposit because I didn't feel confident moving forward -- not because of the art, but because of the lack of communication, planning, and respect for my input. For something as personal and permanent as a tattoo, I expected a more professional approach. If you're someone who wants to feel involved and informed in the process, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Shoutout to Bean for doing an absolutely amazing job once again! He freehanded a beautiful tiger lily and puzzle piece on my arm and did such an amazing job with the shading and linework. The puzzle piece is something very important to me and I loved the design he came up with for it. I just tell him what I want with not much instruction and he's able to execute it better than I could've imagined. He's also just a fun, chill guy to chat with during the whole process. The place itself is pretty big and has a nice setup, large windows and is, most importantly, very clean. The rest of the staff is really friendly and helpful and just all around great to chat with. Great experience. Showed up for a walk in for my girlfriend's first tattoo and the person at the front counter was very welcoming, as well as everyone else. I cannot say the same for other tattoo shops as they tend to feel unwelcoming and judgemental and just uncomfortable to talk to the employees, but that isn't the case here at all. We were introduced to Morgan who ended up doing the tattoo and she is awesome. Have gone back twice since to get more work done with Morgan. She is very welcoming, kind, and easy to talk to and makes us feel very comfortable while getting tattooed. Would highly recommend her to anyone.
