He was a special guest from South Africa and was tattooing at Guru. this tattoo was very meaningful for me. I lost my dog of 11 years, my best friend, my family member and I really wanted a tattoo to memorize him. I took an ink print of his paw after he passed and was really hoping that the details of his paw would come through and Bryan exceeded my expectations. He took his time and traced over every line from the ink picture I brought in for a reference. The tattoo looks so lively and I couldn't be more happy to be able to carry my pet with me forever. The shop was so clean, they played good music, and all of the staff from the other tattoo artist to the front counter receptionist were so kind and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, you can just feel the atmosphere and everything was so calm and it made it really easy to relax. I definitely will be coming here in the future for my next tattoo. while I was there, I was able to add on this tiny palm tree too, sometimes finger tattoos can be a little difficult to execute, but mine came out great , perfect size and just enough detail for me. read more

I got a tattoo yesterday by a guest artist @tattoosbybryan on instagram and everything from the second I walked in was so much different from the previous two shops I have gotten tattoos at. I was at the Little Italy location and they have multiple levels and it's so clean and fancy in there. I was highly highly impressed. Everyone was so professional and even the other artists with whom I interacted were kind and I could tell how proud they were of their work. I absolutely adore my tattoo and Bryan for all the amazing work he did. I truly felt special and like he wanted to not only bring my vision to life but also wanted to create something he was proud of and I could tell he was proud of his work. All in all, if you want a clean studio where the artists are passionate, and you can feel safe and respected then this is definitely the shop for you! read more

I was excited to work with this artist on a large back tattoo, but unfortunately, the process ended up being disorganized and frustrating. I booked well in advance, had a consultation, and paid a deposit -- but the artist forgot about both the consultation and the actual appointment date when I followed up shortly before. When I asked to see a sketch ahead of time so I could give feedback (which seems pretty reasonable for a large, permanent piece - and when I made the appt a month prior he said he would send over a week or two before the appt), I was told I'd get a sketch 2 days before the session -- and that most clients don't see the design until the day of. When I expressed concern about not having time to process or make changes, I was brushed off with "That enough time." It felt rushed and dismissive. This was a pretty large cover up and I was uncomfortable seeing it 1-2 days prior. In the end, I canceled the appointment and forfeited my deposit because I didn't feel confident moving forward -- not because of the art, but because of the lack of communication, planning, and respect for my input. For something as personal and permanent as a tattoo, I expected a more professional approach. If you're someone who wants to feel involved and informed in the process, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Shoutout to Bean for doing an absolutely amazing job once again! He freehanded a beautiful tiger lily and puzzle piece on my arm and did such an amazing job with the shading and linework. The puzzle piece is something very important to me and I loved the design he came up with for it. I just tell him what I want with not much instruction and he's able to execute it better than I could've imagined. He's also just a fun, chill guy to chat with during the whole process. The place itself is pretty big and has a nice setup, large windows and is, most importantly, very clean. The rest of the staff is really friendly and helpful and just all around great to chat with.
