    Chihuahua tattoo by Jordan Lentz
    Jenna C.

I had the best experience getting tattooed by Jordan Lentz. I felt really confident having her do my first ever tattoo of my Chihuahua and was so pleased with the process and result that I went back and had her do my other dog! I love that she also has a passion for rescuing and fostering dogs as well. While out and about, I frequently get compliments from strangers about the quality of her work. I really can't give Jordan enough praise.

If you're looking for a custom, nature-inspired tattoo, Jordan Lentz is incredibly creative and talented. We worked together to design this bird & vine forearm wrap, and the photos speak for themselves! Such detailed shading and fine texture. I was planning for this to be my first and only tattoo, but now I've got ideas of coming back for more.

I've been going to Jordan Lentz for a little over a year now and all I can say is I'm obsessed with her work! Every piece comes out so much better than I even imagined. I love giving her some freedom with my pieces because I know she has the perfect eye for what it needs. We're working on finishing my lower arm sleeve and it's stunning and I get rave reviews from everyone!

Beautiful shop. I love that the name Buju is in honor the owner's dog! I wanted a memorial tattoo of Mack. After seeing her background in fine art & portfolio of dog tattoos (along w/ pics of her Animal Pad foster bottle baby puppies!) I chose Jordan Lentz to do it. She was Phenomenal! Easy to work with.

Had an amazing experience getting my second tat... Britta was so lovely and I am amazed at the detail and just 'wow' factor of her art. Highly recommend her as an artist and the shop as a whole, it was super welcoming and cool. And it took all of my willpower not to walk out with a rescue dog! Thanks Britta, I love it so much!!

I came in as a walk-in, and I had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, which is always a plus. I found this place from another Yelp review and was able to figure out on there Instagram page that they offer walkins each day I believe with different artist! I was so lucky enough to get mine done by Corinne. She took the time to understand what I wanted and offered. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I appreciated the professionalism throughout the process. Overall, I left feeling thrilled with my tattoo and grateful for the warm treatment. I highly recommend this shop for anyone looking for quality work in a friendly environment!

No need to keep searching for your next tattoo shop, this is the one. Coming from someone that's been getting tattooed for over a decade, I have experienced many shops/artists but never have I had a tattoo experience like my time at Buju The vibe is unmatched. The artwork, the plants, the music, the overall atmosphere makes staying a while easy and enjoyable. The quality of work I received, also unmatched. Everyone here is beyond gifted so really anyone you see will take great care of you but I'm here to give love to my new friend and blackout specialist, Jill. (And her friendly assistant leeloo) First session down, many more to come here at Buju!

i've been getting tattoed by Kori for 4 years now and he is literally the best tattoo artist and person. i have a an appt with him usually every 6 weeks or 2-3 months at the latest because his art, aura, personality, kindness, and pricing is the absolute best. our art style matches up perfectly and whenever i come to him with an idea he draws up exactly what im thinking of - or even better. when he first told me he was moving to LA i was 100% prepared to travel to LA every time i wanted a tattoo because im not going to anyone else. i've received tattoos from other artists while im traveling and i always have to go to Kori to fix it for me. his fine lines are so precise, so clean, and so well done that even my tattoos that he did years ago people assume are new because they're still so bold and haven't faded at all. i receive compliments almost daily on all his work and have sent so many people his way to get tattooed. i would 1000% percent recommend getting tattooed by Kori - and also, the vibe of the shop is so welcoming and wonderful. which i've also dealt with other shops not being women friendly, this one will welcome you with open arms. also incredibly queer friendly, which is amazing and not seen everywhere in the tattoo scene.

Jordan Lentz flipped my dog's face in this portrait tattoo (and then tried to make it look right when she posted about it).

Ask the Community - BUJU Tattoo

Looking for a place where I can get a small cute tattoo (super simple, it's just a birthday in Roman numerals) it'll be my first tattoo so I want to be comfortable with the people/shop etc. Is this a good place for that?…

Super chill place. Everyone here could do it and they are all super nice. I've been there a few times as well as my kids and wife got their first ones done there.

Do I have to pay for a sketch, if I wanted to see if any of the artist would be able to create what I want?

I'm not 100% sure about that. We sat there for a bit and waited for the artist to sketch up our tattoos to see if that's what we wanted. I'd say just call and ask.

This was my first visit to The Studio, a gallery tucked away in Hillcrest, and I was genuinely impressed. They showcase a wide range of artists, and it's especially great to see so many talented creatives from San Diego getting the spotlight. The featured show we saw was by Lance Chung, whose work beautifully captures dancers in motion. His pieces feel like stepping into a dream or a fairytale. They are whimsical, expressive, and just plain mesmerizing. Beyond the main exhibit, the gallery opens up into multiple rooms featuring other artists, so you can wander and discover even more creativity. One artist showcased pottery and mentioned she hosts group pottery classes. Honestly, such a fun idea for a birthday or team event. All in all, it was an immersive and inspiring experience that I'd happily do again.

One of the owners, Diane, was very pleasant and friendly in nature. One could tell she has a beautiful soul. My friend is a joker but loved and appreciated the quality of the work and had last been there about 5 years ago but remembered the excitement and pleasant experience at the store. It was a pleasant experience to enjoy my first time here with my friend and Diane. As I walked around the store I instantly fell in love with a small pair of green and blue glass earrings. I knew I wanted something to buy as a memorabilia. I must say of all of the pieces of jewelry that I own and as expensive as mine are, that these earrings are my favorite!!! They were inexpensive but so beautiful, caught the light in a way that was absolutely stunning on my complexion. Love them and have worn them every day since. As I was going to pay for my earrings my friend took notice of a beautiful peacock that was blue, green and had streaks of gold. When asked if I liked it of course I did who doesn't like peacocks, it was gorgeous. To my surprise, My friend bought me the small Peacock and my earrings!!! Of all the gifts that I have these are my prize possessions. They're absolutely beautiful, well made and made with love. I knew this shop was special and I can see that it's because of the integrity and craftsmanship that goes into each piece. Diane is a blessing and I wish nothing but good health, success and happiness for her and her family. I can't wait to bring my out of town family here!!! There's only a few places that I frequent and this will be one of them when I'm in the area to appreciate the art and buy something and the other is the seashell shop in Morro Bay, CA.

I will start with the art. They had a few artists displayed but mostly had the work of Grant Pecoff (given that it is his gallery). They also had some very moving pieces from Stephanie Clair, the expression that she created with her cubism style and simplistic faces was very apparent and warm. Then I noticed Grant work and immediately recognized it. One of my friends has a piece of his I have always loved, it is of about 10 narrow homes above a reflective river in Amsterdam, the colors used and the reflection created are so unique and awesome. I love his art and hope to one day own a few of his pieces as they would compliment any room. He also has many San Diego paintings, including one of the Coronado bridge...which elicits a very interesting story of how he met his wife Layne. She had seen this painting for the first time a week before her parents came into town. When she was showing them around Del Mar she remembered it and brought them over to the window to check it out as she went on and on about how much she loved it. A guy was also looking at it from outside of the window and let her know there was a marching band on the side of the beach that day, that man was Grant Pecoff and only 5 weeks after that moment, they went on a trip to Europe together and had gotten married. Layne is full of happiness and it radiates to you when talking with her. She provides such a warm and comfortable aura and will leave you in positive thought after conversing with her. She writes the children's books with Grant's art next to the words, I have read through some of them and would recommend to any parent who hopes for an active imagination for their young one.
