We also ordered an appetizer of plantains and it comes with sour cream which I never had them with but they were delicious! My grouper sandwich I'm pretty sure was the best one I've ever had. Everyone except wait staff and bartenders usually gets paid minimum wage. Wait staff and bartenders rely on tips because their hourly wages are lower than minimum wage! From now on I will ask every restaurant if they are going to charge me extra to help pay the cooks and dishwashers, if so I'll walk out. If a restaurant can't paid their cooks and dishwashers minimum wage and have to charge customers an extra 3.80% something is very wrong!

Even the seat was dirty and I ended up whipping away pieces of paper on my seat with my hands. Everything including my arms stuck to the table. It took awhile for a very young person with zero personality come to take our order. We gave him a drink and appetizer order. I was attempting to forget about how disgusting the table and the large dog was with the view. The drink that didn't have enough ice although I requested a tall glass with lots of ice arrived with the appetizer. It was good despite being served with greasy fried saltines. When I attempted to start eating a very large Woodstork was fishing on the rocks when the people with the large dog started throwing crackers at it..despite signs everywhere not to feed the birds. It then came up to the window and came too close for me to eat since it was eyeing our food. My husband sat still, told me to do so as well and was holding a knife should it attack. After 15 minutes it finally went away. Now our food was cold. We complained to the waiter but all he could offer was, "Thank you for telling me." No offer to relocate. Our main meals came. Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list.
