My last visit was particularly poor with long wait times between courses and I had to politely flag down our server several times to ask for another drink or to order additional food. The waiter didn't care to offer any food suggestions or recognize it was my father's birthday after I mentioned that early on. Our meal took almost 2 hours for a party of 2 people who eat sushi quickly. The waiter seemed overworked/busy yet didn't make any apologies for the delays. I was also disappointed by the wagyu clay stone dish. It was $95 (market price) and I don't recall it being nearly that expensive the last time I had it. They didn't care to remind us how to properly cook it until I asked, and I'm not sure the stone was hot enough because it took a couple minutes to get the meat medium-rare. Usually 20-30 seconds on each side does the trick because the meat is thin. I still recommend this place and will certainly go back because I live nearby, but I hope they improve upon the service issues because if this happens again I'll think twice before returning.
