This is one of our go to places when visiting the area. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The beds are cozy with plenty of charging ports within reach. Additional amenities include a common areas, pool, hot tub and gym. It is located in a commercial and we have never experienced any problems with noise or unruly activity. It is a six minute drive to the university and plenty of dining options.

My wife and son completely exhausted from the long drive. What a nice room to come into.

Traveling from Salem, Oregon to Tucson, Arizona, we stopped at this place after 16 hours of continuous driving. We were exhausted! I was expecting nothing more than an ordinary roadside motel, so not expecting much. I couldn't have been more wrong. The parking lot was more than full, but I did not see any trash, overflowing, trash cans, or anything that instantly turned me off. Check in process was straightforward, and the inside of the hotel looked great! As we made our way to our room, which was located on a side area, we had to enter through a gate in the back, near the pool. The pool area was lively, with kids, laughing and splashing, and having loads of fun. My immediate thought was, "I'm glad we are on the other side of the hotel, away from the noise." my second thought was, "I pity the poor people that have to clean up after all of these kids." The next morning, as we made our way to the front to enjoy a complementary breakfast, we passed by the pool. I was absolutely astounded at how clean the area looked, as well as the crystal clear water. Some kind of magic happened overnight. I also noticed several housekeeping carts scattered throughout the premises, housekeeping busy at work, turning over the rooms. The complimentary breakfast... Absolutely amazing! A "home-cooked "breakfast consisting of eggs, meat, potatoes, and various bread, juices,, coffee, etc. And again, the breakfast area was neat and orderly. What an incredible experience. Not at all what I expected. I had asked to speak with a manager, but was told none were on site. Not even a supervisor. I wasn't disappointed, I was surprised. This reinforced what a great team looks like. They do what they are expected to do, and they do it to the best of their ability, without any management oversight. Congratulations to all of you! You have set the bar high.

    Eating breakfast outside. So calming.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff was exceptional. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great and satisfying. The breakfast burritos are the ones i really liked. We had such an awesome stay.

My room right next to the swimming pool. There was a dirty cup And some papers on my desk when I got in the room. Housekeeping was notified and they immediately took care of it. The bed was super comfortable, the TV was easy to work, the ceilings were high in some areas and there a nice sitting area. Parking was close, the breakfast was served hot and fresh also, with real eggs too. Right next to the El Burrito also! Ariana made check in easy and quick.

I was booked at this Ayres Hotel for a work-related conference at the neighboring University of Redlands. It doesn't look like much, as it is a bit more of a motel than a hotel, in that you park in front of your door and walk into your room. Check-in was easy and quick, and the staff was friendly. It is located about a 5 minute drive from Downtown Redlands and a 7 minute drive from University of Redlands, making it a prime location for various events. However, the area that the hotel is directly in, isn't the nicest and doesn't feel the safest. I usually go walking after long days of conferences, and this time, I decided to drive to a safer location for an evening stroll. Aside from the slightly shady location, I have nothing bad to say. The room was clean and relatively large for a 2 queen room. There was a large bathtub and small fridge. The air condition worked very well, as it gets really hot in Redlands. I didn't spend much time at the hotel, so did not check out the pool or the workout room. They mentioned that they have a "manager's social hour" from 5-6 each day. Though I did not attend due to other commitments, I stuck my head into the lobby area on my way out just to see what it was. Looked like they were serving free beer and wine to hotel guests. I saw a lot of people mingling and having a good time. The hotel serves a free breakfast every morning. The first morning, I was running behind so I just grabbed a couple of muffins and coffee. The next morning I had a full breakfast including a made-to-order omelette, potatoes, sausage and a bagel. The omelette was really excellent. The ingredients were fresh which tons of veggies, and the omelette was perfectly cooked. The omelette guy should open a breakfast restaurant. I would go. If you stay at this Ayres, do yourself a favor, and get an omelette. Anyway, all in all, I had a positive experience as this simple, but nice hotel.

Scrambled eggs, potatoes, grilled pepper, and sausage links! Even had hot sauce packets! Variety of juices available as well!

When booking it gave the option to put in the comments, anything we may need to notify the hotel of. We had written our wedding was that day and normally check-in is in the afternoon, however we would be arriving after 11 PM due to the reception not ending until 10 PM. When we arrived, we were checked in very quickly, and there was a bottle of rosé, waiting for us in the room on ice. The staff at this location were very sweet and considerate, and when it came to breakfast, this was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. They even had grilled Serrano peppers. There were so many options to choose from! Could not have had a better place to stay right after our wedding! THANK YOU AYRES HOTEL AND STAFF!

First floor room was large and spacious and the shower was very big. There plenty of towels and there was a dishwasher, microwave, real dishes and little kitchen amenities. No issues from the wifi and the sofa area was a good touch. The only thing was that there were a bunch of cars at the entrance, so we couldn't pull up and unload our bags without getting wet. Ample free parking though. Complimentary breakfast was decent as well, with a lot of eating area and tables. It is within 10 minutes of Yaamava also, Which was an added benefit. We will return. I recommend for a quick and economical stay.

I recommend requesting the dark roast if you like your coffee strong, their dark roast is amazing! Tifanie was very helpful during check-in and check-out and was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, I do have a few complaints, which are a bigger deal for me since I had little ones with me. I requested an extra pillow and blankets for the room, but there was no staff available to bring them up, so I had to go down to the front desk to pick them up myself. Another time, when I was bathing my daughter, I noticed the conditioner was empty. I called and asked if they could refill it or bring a travel-size bottle, but again I was told I would need to come to the front desk to get it. This is the first hotel I've stayed at where I had to leave my room to get items that either weren't properly stocked or were simple requests. I also noticed one of the towels in the bathroom was dirty, and the floor near the bed was wet when we arrived. While the staff was friendly and the hotel had a nice vibe, the housekeeping team definitely needs some improvement.

Here's the good: free parking. Now for the rest. Starting with security--or the lack of it. The only visible security was a guy in a security uniform wandering around the "bistro" during breakfast and staring at guests. Other than that, anyone can walk into the lobby, onto the patio, into the bar, up the elevators, and onto the guest floors. No key access is required anywhere. The Wi-Fi situation is also concerning. There's a guest network, but there are also several suspicious room-linked networks showing up. Whether they're legitimate or not, it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. The lobby bistro was disappointing. The food was bland, watery, and overcooked. When I ordered tea, it arrived in a teapot with a broken handle. Not exactly the level of hospitality you'd hope for. The elevator didn't inspire confidence either. The doors began opening before the elevator had fully stopped at the floor, which felt more alarming than convenient. The room itself was pretty janky. A decorative scarf tossed across the bed seemed to be doing a lot of heavy lifting in the design department. The bathroom sink was missing the drain cover, the bed squeaked and creaked with every movement, and the walls were paper thin. We could clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room. There's only a few tv stations and no streaming options. The second floor was noisy overall, with parking lot sounds carrying late into the night and starting up again early in the morning. If you're hoping for a good night's sleep, lower your expectations. The pool and spa area were equally disappointing. The hot tub had food and something dark floating on the surface, and children were using it unsupervised. The view from the pool isn't relaxing either--unless freeway signs are your idea of scenic. What bothered me most was how misleading the photos are. The pool looks lovely online. The room photos show bathrobes that don't actually exist. The food photos displayed throughout the hotel look appetizing and polished, while the actual meals that arrive bear little resemblance to what's advertised. Overall, the photos sell a completely different experience than the one you'll actually get. Aside from free parking, I struggled to find much to recommend here.

This made it impossible to relax or sleep, and I had no choice but to check out early. No guest should have to leave a hotel they paid for because the room is uninhabitable. What is even more concerning is that after looking at other reviews, I saw multiple guests reporting the same marijuana issue. This clearly shows it is an ongoing problem that management has not properly addressed. Although another room was offered, it was late at night and not reasonable to move, especially with my granddaughter. At that point, the damage to our stay was already done. A non-smoking hotel should enforce its policies and ensure guests are not exposed to smoke. I paid for a service that was not delivered. I am requesting a full refund for the night that was impacted, as well as the return of my deposit. This is the fair and reasonable resolution.
