So organized, always creative, lively, fun and interactive sessions. I have not found anything like it in all of Chicago and it is affordable, always a consideration when choosing therapies for a kiddo in need. They accept and bill insurance companies and are always easy to work with in every aspect. Very responsive to emails and questions which is so important especially when you as the parent might not know what might be going on or who to turn to with questions. I always appreciate that any request I have or concern to address, they help find a solution, have an idea or give a suggestion. They truly care about kids and try to help in any way they can. I have another child too and love that I am always able to bring him and comfortably wait in the waiting room without issue. A week later, I called to see if anything earlier had opened up because the appointment was quite far out. That's when I learned the appointment I had already scheduled and confirmed was apparently never valid. The provider does treat my issue. The provider was seeing patients in Chicago at the date and time I booked. But for some reason, the provider will only treat this particular issue in Indiana--not Chicago. None of that was caught by the AI scheduling system when it allowed me to make the appointment. By the time I found this out, getting an appointment with a different provider in Chicago meant waiting even longer than I had already planned to wait. What made the experience worse was that the scheduler acted like I was lucky she had caught the problem and was rescheduling me, rather than acknowledging how unacceptable it was that their system had booked and confirmed an appointment where the doctor would not have treated me. Had I not happened to call back looking for an earlier appointment, I apparently could have shown up in Chicago only to learn that the doctor wouldn't see me for my issue because I wasn't in Indiana. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was sent to voicemail. No one ever returned my call. A scheduling system that allows patients to book and confirm appointments that the provider will not actually honor is not functional scheduling. It wastes patients' time and, in my case, resulted in an even longer wait for care.

She helped our baby over a handful of appointments (~2 months, every couple weeks) to tackle torticolis, which was so successful that we were able to avoid having to do any baby helmet treatment (usually ~$2000 because it's typically not covered by insurance since it's considered cosmetic). Our baby had a flat spot on the side of her head early on, so with the recommendation by her pediatrician we went for a helmet consultation relatively early around 3 months. They said treatment couldn't start until baby had sufficient neck control and the treatment would likely need to be combined with PT. To get ahead and because we really didn't want to do the helmet if possible, we pursued PT as soon as we could. It was impossible to find anyone in our insurance network and everyone we looked into had rates that were about the same. My own PT for postpartum recovery and other locals highly recommended Kids on the Grow, so we went with them! They also came to our place for all of the appointments, which was extremely helpful as sleep deprived first time parents. With baby PT you need to be involved and do "homework" with your baby in between appointments, but they make it really fun and it's wonderful to see the progress!! Initially we did have some issues contacting their office because they didn't get any of our emails or phone calls. My own PT had to help connect us via email. Otherwise, once we got a hold of them the staff who we also communicated with were very good. All paperwork was done digitally, which was super convenient.

The first night was not favorable, no staff greeted us and the person that first entered the room was solely focused on inventory of her belongings and not helping her into bed or other important firsts. However, much to my surprise, day 2 through 7 were much better. The nurses are very efficient and caring as well as the physical therapy and occupational therapy teams. One nurse, Wesley really stood out. Truly exceptional! My advice in general is visit your loved one often in this type of environment, but Harmony overall is a very good choice!

I don't know, are there any of those going around in 2022? Can't be anything more than sniffles I suppose. One nurse in particular was kind of a jerk. I had to ask the nurse/nurse assistant to put her mask on since I'd seen her coming in without it. When someone asked her something--about how long something might take--her response was a kind of flippant, snotty "it takes however long it takes". I think the question was really more how far is it, is it crowded or whatnot, will I have to wait... to which she could have answered either without the biting tone or simply been a bit more kind.

However that faded really fast. After my dad was admitted and he received a room his care started to slowly fade. If he pushes the nurses button sometimes it takes 45 minutes to and hour for a response. I know nothing is perfect but it's scary to wait so long, because what if he really needs emergency care? Although, the nurses casually discuss how they don't like their jobs I can still see hope in this place. I hope this is just a weird week. I know that we all have bad days.

It was often clear from the odor that she was not being changed or cleaned on a regular schedule, which, unfortunately, resulted in her developing painful sores. To get her basic needs met, I often had to actively hunt down the nursing staff to request diaper changes. While a few individual nurses truly went above and beyond and showed genuine compassion, the overall systemic issues are hard to ignore. Beyond the care deficits, the patient rooms rarely seemed properly cleaned or disinfected, creating an unsanitary environment. I strongly advise any family considering this facility to do extensive research, check state inspection reports, and speak directly with current patients' families before placing a loved one here.

As someone who had his first knee surgery in high school and has had several since, I've been exposed to my fair share of PTs. Keith and his team are the best I've been around. They employ all the latest techniques and take a thoughtful approach to each patient's treatment. Critically, they truly care about their patients and go above and beyond to help them get back to doing the things they want do. Individual results will depend on whether the patient does their part and is consistent with the exercises, but I cannot recommend Sovereign Rehabilitation strongly enough for providing the tools to get back to 100%!
