Parking was also an extra cost, but I think if you bought your parking online it was a little bit cheaper. There was a Fear Farm merch tent and a few other tents selling food and drinks. Since we came on Wednesday, I'd say the lines weren't as bad as it may have been on the weekend. However, there were definitely a lot of missed opportunities for jump scares. While everyone in our group did get scared at least once, I thought it would be more scarier. Some of the themes were better than others. I don't think I would come back to this one. There are other haunted places to check out in the valley. I will say that the music they had playing throughout the park that evening was awesome. Not sure if it's always the same, but it was hits from the 90's!

There are 4 different themed haunted houses that are included in the general admission ticket and all the activities (corn maze, zombie shooting, etc.) are additional costs. Parking is also an additional cost which is always annoying. Overall, the haunted houses were fun but I think they could've been improved with more scare actors. The carnival themed one was my favorite but it was too short. The blood shed one was too long and barely had any decorations, it was basically just a maze. We were there for over 2 hours since there's a bit of a line to wait for each house so people are spread out.

This is my first review in a while and it pains me that I have to give my first 1-star review to…read moreThe Nest. First off, I love scary things. Scary movies, haunted houses, ghost stories, you name it, I'm all over it. I actively seek out a good scare and don't mind paying for it. Last year me and some friends took advantage of the Sunday deal and went to the Nest when it was in Avondale. It was REALLY good, and I might say that it was the best haunted house I'd been to up until then. Since it was outdoors on a huge lot, it was a lot different than most of the inside/maze houses you're used to. Tonight we drove down and I was kinda feeling the new local. The Nest is nestled in the back of Rawhide so you have to walk a little ways, but there were some photo ops/concession stands/games set up along the way. We saw the building and I was pretty excited to see what they would do with it this year. *Sidenote: there's no need to "dress up" or wear high heels to a haunted house, I promise. There were tons of girls who looked like they just came from da club* Not to ruin anything for anyone, but rather than telling the story of Jacob Kell throughout the whole thing, there were 3 "different" sections. After going through the first two, I thought "oh that was just a warm-up, they're really gonna do it big at the end". Nope. I feel that it had a lot of potential but that the actors were few and far between, there wasn't as many "cool special effects" as last year, and there wasn't really a "wow" factor. and ******SPOILER ALERT****** no chainsaw?! what haunted house doesn't have a chainsaw....c'mon Anyways, we walked out and our collective thought was "that's it?" If you're looking for a really good scare, I'd suggest looking elsewhere

I love scary things so I led the way in my group and must say I got scared a few times! I loved the costumes, the rooms, the special effects! It was the first haunted house area I went to this season. I was most impressed by the passion of the hired actors. They really got into character and the costumes were great too. There were 2 haunted house options open the night I went. The overall grounds for a bit rough after the recent heavy rains. The place overall had a backwoods, abandoned construction site vibe to it. Going through two of the three haunted houses took less than an hour including waiting in line. The design of the haunted houses was good. A few jumpscares and definitely creepy characters. However, there wasn't much to do at the event grounds activity-wise after going to the haunted houses.

The setups impressive, the haunts wandering through the lines were so fun...5+ stars! Totally recommend Scarizona! I haven't laughed like that in a long time...I don't think I've screamed like that ever! The all black room areas are especially unique! The house further off had way shorter lines last night so maybe start there, then go back to the one closer to the admission area. Either way the actors make waiting on line very fun! What's the last thing you did to bring out your inner child?

So we had 200 paint balls. We did run out a bit quicker but if you don't shoot a lot your good with 200. 100 went by the first half, some went even quicker. So you get on the truck and they drive you around and you shoot zombies. They will let you know when your at your half way point and when it's the last scene to shoot zombies so you can use all your paintballs. I suggest you wear like gym shoes cause it's a rocky area. Also it's pretty dark where you walk and park. Happy there's no parking fee. There is a sign for parking.

Zombie WarZ makes sure that innocent civilians are prepped to rise to such an occasion! What a better way to keep the zombies at bay by shooting them?! Well at least, safely, with paintball guns! Often the biggest question I'm asked is: "Do you also get shot at?" Luckily, no you do not. Zombies do not shoot paintball guns so you are safe from getting hit! Instead, you ride military like vessels driving around to zombie infested areas with mounted paintball guns ready for action! Zombie WarZ is very family friendly! Our group of 30+ people had a couple kiddos and they just had a blast! Like I mentioned earlier, the paintball guns are mounted so they are safe from kids, and adults..., from shooting themselves or any humans. You can still point the guns up and down and side to side so targeting is still feasible! The front end of the truck holds 9 civilians, and the double decker trailer had the rest of our crew. Each part of the truck had a soldier helping us with ammo if needed and adjusting our guns if needed (especially if a novice like I accidentally switches the safety on and can't shoot anything).. Becky (or Becca?) our soldier was amazing! She was animated and so much fun! There were also rock tunes playing to get us in the zombie shooting mood! We definitely all enjoyed our experience immensely!

Since you can pay to go to just one or all of the attractions, this seems fair. I'll base this review solely on my experience with The Crypt. The Crypt has nice props and F/X throughout and that's really about it. No scare factors for us hardcore Halloween & horror fans, and no thrills. It was kind of just like, oh wee... Look at the cool display. That's it. If you an 8 year old kid, or just an easily frightened person, you'll love it. However, if you're on a budget (or time schedule) and can't afford to do all of the attractions, so you're wondering which of the 3 you should pick, choose this one; it is by far the best of the 3. Located in the Fiesta Mall parking lot (which is typically a dead giveaway for impending lameness), right off of US-60 and Alma School Rd. Plenty of free parking. Go to their website for a $3 off coupon. Even if you have a Groupon, you must stand in the ticket line to get a physical ticket.

I could've sworn this was supposed to be a horror show, not a comedy. I guess the joke is on me…read more There are 3 separate "attractions" here: The Crypt, Asylum, and the maze. You can purchase them separately and choose which or all, or you can buy one ticket for all 3. I had purchased our tickets back in September, via Groupon, which included admission to all 3; it saved us 1/2 off. The Crypt was the best of the three, by a LONG shot, but it doesn't say much. Nice props and an A for effort on the set up. Scare factor of 2, on a 1-10 scale. The Asylum was alright and had a healthy amount of fake blood throughout. What it lacked was scare factor, and by lack, I mean none. Nada. It was quite the bore, but not the worse. 1 on a 1-10 scale. The "haunted" maze was THE WORST. Seriously, the sorriest half-you-know-what attempt at a maze that I have ever been duped into. Picture an 8x10 room with plastic checkered drapes hung from the ceilings at random angles through which must push to escape said room. 10 seconds, maybe, and you're out. No props. No scares. Just those annoying plastic drapes. Everyone kept looking around, befuddled as they exited, wondering, "Is that it?!" "It can't be it. Maybe I took a wrong turn?" No buddy, you were just suckered like the rest of us. Shame on them for that HAM (hot @$$ mess). 0 on a 1-10 scale. This thing is located in a shopping mall parking lot. THAT is your biggest clue. If you're taking small children, 5-10 or 11 years old, they may receive a fright or 2. Otherwise, keep looking. With a hard eye-roll, I declare, never again.

Great location in that it's at Fiesta Mall, but tucked away. There's not a lot of parking lights in their lot, be careful you don't step on a pothole! The entire attraction takes no more than 90 minutes or so, even with long lines. The MAZE is the quickest to go thru, unless you're not good at mazes. Not terribly scary to me. We went thru the Asylum next. More scary than the MAZE, but I left laughing. The Crypt had the longest line and took the longest to get thru. Most scariest of the 3, but wasn't terribly impressed. Overall they do a good job at sensory deprivation, which is something I don't like to experience! Not sure I can foresee ever returning though, I'll probably take my $$ to something more exciting/scary/etc.
