I needed to have a quartz countertop fabricated for the 80" vanity in my master bathroom. My contractor recommended Azteca. I went to their stone works and found the perfect slab. The cost was very fair, much less when compared to the six other places I visited. When it was time for the installation, David came to my house to measure for a template. He returned within five days and installed the countertop (would have been four days except it was a holiday). It is absolutely perfect! I wanted an ogee edge and it was fabricated to perfection...the veins from the top to the edge match perfectly. It is gorgeous. I love buying from family-owned businesses and David is the greatest! I wouldn't use anyone else! The Scope of work included a 12ftx15ft kitchen, including a 12ft long island, tile backsplash to ceiling, plus laundry countertop. Maks and his team did some of the best work that my contractor, my real estate agent and I have ever seen. They placed counters for a 12ft island with a seam that was unnoticeable. They beautifully finished where the backsplash meets the window sill with a window ledge. I cannot be more pleased. I wish they did the tile in the entire house! I told him what I wanted and he recommended several tile/stone stores to visit. The entire project from demolition to install was completed within 2wks. Excellent experience with this company. We went to Azteca and picked out a nice piece of Quartz for our kitchen but we needed two slabs for the job. David had the other piece the next day.David,Max and their crew did a great job all the way around with our order. Nothing in my 50 year old house is level or straight but they were able to deal with any challenges they came across. Even with the Holidays and COVID in the middle of the process we had no delays. We were also very pleased with the craftsmanship of the counter, the window sill and the table top they made for a very old small table stand. We procrastinated on getting a hearth for our fireplace and thought we wouldn't have it complete in time for Christmas. David and his crew saved us last minute with only a few weeks to spare. They delivered and installed a travertine hearth. He double checked the measurements and offered his professional advice on everything. He recommended doubling up the stone in the front to make it look thicker. He also informed me of my options to have the edges chiseled to create a more natural stone look. He also recommended to have the hearth wrap around the side of the fireplace to meet the wall to make the hearth look complete verses only stopping in front. Everything came together just in time for us to host Christmas with our family and show off our newly remodeled fireplace. I really appreciate the extra steps and advice that were given, we would've never thought to do or knew about these options if he didn't mention them. Great service. Thank you Azteca! I have been using Azteca for a couple years now, on several different projects. Wonderful customer service, with a very helpful staff. Welcomed as soon as you walk in, with someone always ready to give advice and help you pick out products with the general idea you have in mind. The owner, David Gutierrez always adds his knowledge of products and decisions making in the overall arrangement of the finished product. This is a family run business, as the owner introduced me to his son Maksymilian (who worked on my kitchen and staircase), his daughter, and nephew (worked on my kitchen and bathroom). There is a beautiful selection to look at and several options as far as textures, colors, and materials go. Ive definitely had my share of mainstream companies work on my house, but never received the quality and precise actions, and precautions the Azteca staff took when installing in my home. Promptly after order is submitted and received in the warehouse, staff got started on fabrication there and installation in my home. The end result of any projects done by Azteca is always gorgeous, clean, and unique. Since the first project they have done, I have had my entire staircase (done in marble), 3 complete ground up showers/bath, kitchen counter tops (granite), and bathroom vanity (marble) done by them. I would recommend this route for anyone who is looking to re-do, or vamp up any area of the house, or business. Obviously as for my repeated service goes, the quality of work that the Azteca staff always delivers has grasped me as a loyal customer from the first job they did, on out. David & crew produced a granite counter top for our outdoor BBQ 3-4 years ago that we were very satisfied with. This past winter I noticed that the edge appeared to be falling off. I touched it and it did. Apparently the epoxy had failed. I was devastated because the one piece edge was now multiple pieces after hitting the ground. I called Azteca seeking a solution. David stopped by and said it could be fixed, making it "look like new". We set an appointment and he showed up with 3 of his crew. They went right to work spending 4 hours on it. The results were indeed as good as new. If I had not known about the problem, I would never have known it had been repaired, all using the original edge pieces. Amazing! We purchased beautiful granite and stone directly through Azteca Stone Works, which was also installed beautifully by Azteca Stone Works, Inc. Everything looks amazing and custom! Azteca Stone Works, Inc. was the only bid we received that quoted our desires without compromising material and craftsmanship. Getting a reasonable bid and keeping within budget was extremely important to us, as a result, we cannot stress enough how refreshing it was to work with such an honest and reputable company. David Gutierrez, the owner, was so helpful that he actually acted as our contractor on the project, recommending sub contractors and material suppliers, while providing valuable advice from start to finish. He continually saved us when the "big box store" made huge mistakes and delayed work. We would not have been able to complete the project without him. He was extremely professional, returned calls immediately and personally checked on work each day. He never tried to wiggle out of contract work or over charge for additional work; he actually threw in custom touches. For example, he provided custom shower soap holders in the granite soap shelves. An example of quality and craftsmanship would be the lack of surface seams in the kitchen granite. David installed two full, large "L" shaped pieces without any seams; this is not typical for the same model in our neighborhood. Again, Azteca Stone Works, Inc. did a fabulous job on our remodel! David and his crew are exceptionally hard working, and timely. I am a repeat customer of Azteca Stones, they have done 2 kitchens for us and the last big project, 5 bathrooms, entry hallway and fireplace. Our bathrooms turned out beautiful! Jorge the project manager, is without a doubt the best installer in the Bay area, he takes pride on his work and won't rest until everything is perfect. Our project took over 3 months mainly because I was willing to wait for Jorge. For us, rating a business with a 5 stars is not just about the end result but also how the small problems that happen along the way were resolved and how determined David, the owner was to make sure that we were pleased and happy with the job. We had David repair a granite countertop broken by a tenant and he did a very good job. The work looks good. We would have given him 4 or maybe even 5 stars except for the following. On the 2nd day of calling, one of us actually spoke to him on the phone and he said that he would send us the receipt and lifetime warranty (for which we paid extra) later on that day. Unfortunately, they never were sent. After 4 more days of calling and emailing David daily, we were forced to conclude that we were just being ignored. We needed the receipt because we wanted to send an accounting of deductions to a security deposit to our tenant and wanted to include the receipt for the work. We called one last time and left a voice mail message to say that we regret that our numerous requests and emails were just ignored and that we would be writing a yelp review today. This would provide him with another 2.5 days to respond but we never heard from him. This is of course a disappointment as we would have been happy to refer his services to others but the lack of follow up forced us to conclude that we can't refer this company to anyone. We feel that getting back to customers in a timely manner is one of the most important requirements of running a good business and David has certainly not provided this service. read more
