So thankful to have found B Allan! I called to ask about possibly redesigning my engagement ring setting because my wedding band was rubbing up on the prongs of my engagement ring. Brett was awesome! My husband and I came in for some advice and a price quote on fixing hubby's wedding band which has a few dings and was badly resized by another jeweler. Brett was warm and welcoming and carefully inspected the ring and gave us his honest opinion on our options. He told us that the resizing job that was done by the other company was not good but if the function and look of the slightly off metal in the small affected underside of the ring didn't bother us too much he wouldn't recommend trying to get it redone. Where do I begin...My fiance and I before getting engaged had been looking at Shane Co. for a while on and off just trying to get some ideas of what I would want for an engagement ring. A friend of mine had recently got a custom ring made by B Allan Jewelers that was absolutely stunning. I feel like with Jewelers you never know what you are going to get especially since a lot of chains are trying to make a sale. I ended up getting Bretts contact information and I liked the Idea that it is a privately owned Jeweler. When I first talked with Brett he was so outgoing and genuine so I told my fiance we were going to go in and see what happens. When you first meet Brett he is one of the nicest people you will ever ever meet! It felt like I had known him my entire life. When talking with him I gave him an Idea of what we were looking for as far as the setting and the 4 C's (Carat, Cut, Color, and Clarity). When we met with Brett he brought in 6-8 diamonds and had us stand outside in the sunlight and shade to look at each diamond to fizzle out the ones that really didn't catch our eye. I loved this process because you are seeing the diamonds how you would see them in every day life in natural light... not under a light that will always make it look dazzling. after we chose our top three diamonds he will then have you schedule another appointment to come in and he will bring in the top three diamonds you chose plus 4 more to see if you are still drawn to the same diamonds. funny thing is my fiance and I still chose our top contender after coming in twice. I love the way Brett runs his business. He doesn't want to just sell you any diamond but something that is in your budget and something that you are going to love. after getting engaged it was time to pick out a wedding band. I love Brett's honesty. If he thinks that there is a chance that a diamond could fall out of a band because it is not secure enough he will not sell it to you. I came in try on and to purchase 2 stackable bands . let me tell you I searched on pinterest for the exact stack-able rings that I was looking for and Brett brought in those and some. After some time of going back and forth I found the two perfect bands that would complete me. Brett said he wanted to double check with the his metal smith to make sure that the diamonds are secure and that I wouldn't have any issues with them. come to find out a few days later Brett called me with some sad news that the rings wouldn't work out. I was disappointed but again Brett didn't want to sell me anything that I would have continual issues with. when you purchase a ring you want to make sure that the metal isn't to thin to where it could bend or break and you want to make sure something is holding those diamond in so you don't have a higher chance of them coming loose or even loosing them. so back to square one. I ended up getting a custom band made with oval diamonds and I couldn't be happier. My engagement ring and my wedding band far exceeded my expectations! I'm so in love with the way everything turned out. I also purchased my fiance's wedding band and he had more than enough options to choose from. For our 10-year anniversary we wanted to "update" my wife's wedding ring. We had a vague idea of what we wanted so Brett worked with us to design a totally custom ring. We used our original center diamond and wanted to match a purple stone to it. Brett brought in a dozen or more stones for us to view and had us go through them without telling us the price, grade, or even what type of stones they were.
