I had an awful experience as well as my family and friends, she was rude to everyone. In the end I felt self conscious of how I looked, because she basically called me fat the entire time I was working with her, even my daughter chimed up and told her I was planning a surgery soon and my weight wouldn't be that much of an issue, Joanne didnt listen. Everyone was upset, mad, angry and insulted by the time we left. Not worth it unless you want to be judged by someone who apparently doesnt like her job especially if she has to alter or change anything on the dresses she has to offer.

It's a bridal store, and I trusted that I was leaving my wedding dress with professionals. Unfortunately, they made my dress worse than when I first received it. The delicate threading was damaged, the lace was uneven, the sleeves did not match, and the front of my dress was left crooked and poorly done. I pointed out issues during my fittings and asked for them to be corrected, only to come back and find that they still had not been properly fixed. I ended up having to take my wedding dress to another alterations professional just weeks before my wedding and pay over $500 to repair the damage and fix the alterations that were done here. The second alterations professional had to correct problems that should never have happened in the first place. What makes the situation even worse is the lack of accountability afterward. I was told that the person who altered my dress is an independent contractor. However, she performs alterations inside their store and is the person they provide to customers for alterations. The owner had already sent me a photo of my alteration invoice showing the different alterations that were done to my dress. Later, she told me that according to their records, the only alterations performed were inserting the bra cups and repairing the zipper, and that only $35 could be refunded. However, the invoice she had already sent me clearly showed the additional alterations I had been explaining. Being told something completely different from what was shown on the invoice she personally sent me was extremely concerning and felt dishonest. I was also told that because I took my dress somewhere else to have it fixed before the owner could personally inspect it on me, they could not take responsibility. My wedding was approaching. I was not going to leave my wedding dress damaged just so they could inspect it first. I had already given them opportunities during my fittings to fix the problems, and they were not corrected. Even if only the bra cups and zipper had been altered, how did other parts of my dress that supposedly were not being worked on end up damaged? I asked for a full refund of $550. The owner said she could not give me a refund because of store policy and because the tailor was an independent contractor. She then offered me $200 from her "own pocket" privately, which I found extremely unprofessional considering I paid the store directly for the alterations. I was also told that accepting the $200 would require me to remove my review. I declined to remove my review and continued requesting the full refund. In the end, the full refund was refused, and the $200 offer was also withdrawn after I would not remove my review. This was my wedding dress not an everyday piece of clothing. Having to find someone else at the last minute and spend hundreds of dollars fixing damage caused during alterations was stressful, expensive, and completely unacceptable. The way this situation was handled afterward, especially being given information that contradicted the invoice I had already been sent, felt dishonest and showed a complete lack of accountability. She was such a sweetheart, and when I returned for my appointment, had the two dresses I'd requested pulled, as well as a few others of the similar style. Although I didn't have a group with me, Seneca was incredibly patient and supportive while I mulled over the dresses, and hyped me up to fall in love with my original vision. Some of the sample dresses being sold are quite affordable for the budget conscious bride which was a huge plus! Additionally, I've seen fantastic reviews about their in house alterations. They were able to do a rush job turnaround in a week, and the results were stunning. It took 3 stylists just to hook the dress together before it could be zipped up. I had not gained any weight since ordering, and the dress felt like it had been ordered a size too small. The stylist who was helping me put on the dress kept reassuring me that the gown had a hard corset, and because it was strapless, it was meant to fit that tightly. Well before my actual wedding, I had my courthouse ceremony... I needed a lot of help to get the dress hooked on, and when it came time to drive to the courthouse, I couldn't even sit up. I had to lean the car seat all the way back in order to make it to the courthouse. The entire afternoon I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even want to drink water. After that experience, I brought my dress to Marina at Le Caprice. She took one look at my back and didn't even bother zipping me up. She assured me that my dress was too small, that it was not just in my head, and offered to remove the zipper and replace it with a corset back! I was nervous because I really loved the top part of my dress and how snatched it made my waist look, but when I received my dress it still looked just as perfect! Not only that, but I was completely comfortable in it when I was sitting and eating at my reception (: Marina was able to complete the alterations super fast at a fair price and I think the corset was elegantly executed. I called the day before (yesterday) and no answer and left a voicemail. Today was the ready by date. I went to pick up the pants around 9:45am they were not done and not even started on. The woman Sammy said to come back at 11 am but I said don't rush so she said come back around 1pm. I came back around 12:44pm since they close at 1pm. Pants were not done so she told me to come back in 20min. I walked around CVS and Luckys a bit then came back around 1:05pm and waited in the store another 25 minutes. So pants were done at 1:30pm, 30minutes after closing with me waiting in the store. The hemming was fine, though I don't know if they got two of the pant inseams a little longer than requested but I was so annoyed by all the waiting and going back and forth that I don't want to say anything or go back. Seems like they are short staffed and even regular customers are having delays also. I need to get my own sewing machine so I can do it myself instead.

Because they shortened the straps and made the arm holes larger so now the front of the dress fits incorrectly. Multiple times I had to go back to try to get my garments fixed. Each time the woman would laugh, giggle and make no attempt to make this right. Each alteration was $53. I felt this was high, but I had always heard. They did great work and it would be worth it. Each time I went in I told them how disappointed I was and how frustrated I was because I missed wearing the dress to one function and now I can't use it at all. There's no offer for a refund or an expedited service. I will never use this company again. The woman who helped me was so nice in the beginning and I felt very comfortable dropping my items off. The minute thing started to go wrong. The customer service was gone. Sina wasted $106 and can only use one of the items.
