I visited the Tire Depot at the Asbury Park Circle in Ocean Township, Monmouth County, because my wife's Mercedes-Benz had a silver screw sticking in the rear passenger side tire. It was 4:15 p.m. on Thursday evening when traffic was heavy, and the Tire owner, Elon Berkowitz, was busy working on replacing heavy-duty truck tires. There was another mechanic working on a vehicle on the lift in one of the bays. I thought I was going to get stuck waiting for an attendant to ask me what I needed. Fortunately, when Elon Berkowitz saw me, he stopped what he was doing and asked me what I needed. I explained that I had a screw in the tire and it was leaking air. Mr. Berkowitz said I need a few more minutes to finish this task, and then I will address your needs. I said thank you and sat on a bench in front of the establishment. After 10 minutes, Mr. Berkowitz came over and began working on my wife's car. 10 minutes later, he repaired the leaking tire. I was so very pleased at the great customer service i was given that I could not thank him enough. What a wonderful businessman, dedicated to his business with outstanding customer service and a smile. I sincerely wanted to thank him over and over again. This is a businessman who delivers excellent work and knows how to keep customers coming back again. I could not thank him enough. I had a slow leak in a tire over the last few weeks. Wanted to buy a new tire. Friend recommended The Tire Depot in Ocean on the Asbury circle. Stopped in without an appointment one afternoon. Alon, owner of this 30-year, family-run business, was very busy and working alone, but he said, "your tread's like new, let me take a quick look." In one minute he found the problem: nail in the tire. Alon popped out the nail, plugged the tire, properly pressurized all 4 tires and said, "You're all set." This took all of about 10-13 minutes. I said, "you're kidding." Alon smiled and said jokingly, "been doin' this 30 years... I'm a tire savant ... you're good to go." I can't tell you how pleased I was to be treated with respect and courtesy, and not be ripped off for an expensive new tire I didn't need. I have never written a Yelp review before, but I had to for the Tire Depot. On the way to the cemetery for my father's interment, I had a flat and limped my car to the Tire Depot. They were in the process of closing up for the rest of the weekend, but when they heard of my trouble, they opened back up, saying: "We'll fix it for you in 5 minutes." Unfortunately, the tire was too badly damaged, but that didn't stop the intrepid folks at Tire Depot, who dug through a huge pile of tires to find the ONE that would fit my stupid wheel, mounted it, and got it back on the car in record time. They also bagged up the old tire so I could take it back to the dealer in Massachusetts. They changed a situation that would have made a terrible day even worse into a moment that restored some faith in humanity. You are great people, Tire Depot! Thank you! read more

Yesterday I had my low pressure light go on, I added air at a local convenience store and the light did not go off Today, Yelp ratings led me to The Tire Depot 721 Highway 35 north right on the circle (easy to miss but so much worth the effort to double back) Met with a friendly wave from young lady out front and an equally warm greeting inside the office by the hostess Five minutes later an analysis of the problem. Five minutes after that a fix and a recommendation for long term tire care and what to do immediately if the warning light comes back on. All done at no charge by a very qualified mechanic. I noticed the air was low in my tire and when I filled it, I found a screw. On my way home, I was deciding what to do and was on the Asbury Circle. I looked up and there was the Tire Depot, so I pulled into the parking lot. There was one man working and he told me it was his day off, but that when he popped into the shop to pick something up, three other people happened to pull in or call and need help. He helped us all and did it with a smile. That is the epitome of excellent customer service. in addition, when he took a quick look at my tire and realized it would just take two minutes, he didn't make me wait_he removed the screw, plugged the leak, added air and sent me on my way. Benchmark service. Simply the best. I was recommended here by a friend when I desperately needed to replace tires and have my oil changed. When I stopped in to make an appointment, they were able to do the work immediately. I expected to have to choose lower grade tires to make them affordable, but for the same price I had previously paid to other shops, I was able to upgrade my tires AND get the synthetic oil change. The waiting area is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The owners are courteous and professional, but mostly kind, personable, and knowledgable. Came because my suv (05 Toyota Highlander) had the tire pressure light on (had been on for over a year at the time) and i finally decided to het it checked out before i went to inspection. Very nice guy came out and checked my tire pressure (i regularly fill them so i knew they were good), then ran a computer check on my car to see if it was my sensors. Idk what he did, but he told me the computer said everything was fine and he had no idea why my pressure light was on. He put some air in my tires, reset the light on my dash and its been good ever since. Went to inspection right after, passed easily. Best part, he didn't charge me a dime! Went to the Tire Depot a couple weeks ago looking for a tire for my dodge ram. It was on a Saturday and the owner was closing. Not only did he not rush me out, but he went and looked for the tire only to return with the exact brand and size. It was used but in great shape. He did not try to up-sell me at all. I was in a different vehicle and he said he would wait till i came back with my truck. He removed the old one and balanced and installed the new used one for a great price. Awesome service. Had a used car with three different tires and 4 different wear levels. They mapped out several different options to repair/replace some or all of the tires (including an option with 2 lightly used tires). Choices were clearly laid out for wear vs. cost tradeoffs. Work was done quickly at the quoted cost and included burnishing the rims; not always done but ensures a good seal especially important for older cars. I noticed I had a nail in my tire on a very rainy day. I called the tire depot and they told me they do not take appointments for plugging tires, However, I could stop by and if they were able to fit me in, they would immediately, and at the time of my call they mentioned it was slow. I called Tire Depot, the guy I spoke to quoted a price that was far better than I expected, so I took my car in and in less than half an hour it was replaced.
