Obviously not toasted and objectively not toasted dark.
    Kennedy O.

Let me start off by saying the bagels here are some of the best from living here on Long Island. They are a sister location to another bagel shop in middle island. I placed 10 orders for a whole wheat bagel darkly toasted with cream cheese. 6/10 of these pick ups including todays have been clearly untoasted. Very confused how darkly toasted gets lost in translation over the phone to not toasted at all but apparently the younger members of the crew don't pay attention to customers orders nor care if they mess up orders after 6 incorrect ones. I asked them how to order it correctly after mistakes placing blame on myself and ended up here today. Only when I go before 7:30am is my order correct and that will be my new cut off time for ordering here. Thank you for wasting my time over 50 percent of the time and making me waste over 20 dollars on incorrect bagels that come at 4 dollars. The older women that work there are phenomenal early mornings.

Can't believe how little butter they can put on a bagel. Asked for butter on both sides and there is still parts of the bagel with NO butter.

Bro I legit still hate this place, I need to learn my lesson. Bagel prices are increasing always and you can't even be bothered to cream cheese the other side??? I'm struggling out here

I would leave this place 0 stars if it was possible. Ordered a chicken sandwich with grilled onions and fresh mozzarella on a garlic roll (a menu item) chicken was rock solid, so horribly I couldn't even chew it. The roll was a regular roll and barely any onions. I called the store and the manager said that the chicken was just made, but then admitted it was 3 days old and continued to fight with me that it was fresh. Absolutely disgusting. Will not be returning, stay away!

Absolutely horrible service from this place. I ordered through Uber eats from here and they messed up my order and did nothing to correct the issue. I ordered a bagel egg special that comes with coffee and a side order for the sausage. The quality of the food was subpar. The sausage patty was cold like it had been sitting for a while. The bagel was alright nothing great about it. But they forgot my coffee even though it comes with the order. I called to get it fixed and the first time I called the girl who answered hung up on me after placing me on hold. I called again she put a Matt on the line who said I need to take it up with Uber. He did nothing to fix the problem just passed the buck. Even though they were the ones who forgot to pack it. They have it on their receipt that it should have been added. In addition they have a note stating if the order is wrong they guarantee to fix it. I received no help. They did not apologize. Bottom line I will not order from here again. It's not worth the hassle they don't even live up to their guarantee.

The food was good but my visit would've been more enjoyable if the woman behind the counter wasn't so freaking rude.

Any place that has workers running the cash register and then handling the food without changing gloves is disgusting. I walked out.

Service was outstanding. I sat with family and enjoyed a simple tea and toast today. My sister-in-law order the Matcha with blueberry, she let me grab a sip and it was very refreshing, perfectly balanced blueberry, it was sweet but not too sweet paired with the Matcha tea. Not only delicious but very pleasing to the eye it's beautifully displayed in their clear cup. This place feels upscale, trendy. The food options are plentiful. Can't wait to return. It's a place to stop in and check out.

I thought it would be dead, but to my surprise it was still pretty busy! Its a small little place, but still a few options to sit down and eat or just sip your java. Bonus points for excellent music choice, very indie singer/songwriter style that made for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Starting with the reason you're probably going here, the coffee. I got a peanut butter latte, and my girlfriend got one of their winter seasonal choices in the ginger bread latte. both served hot. The PB was very smooth and lightly sweet, but the ginger bread one in my opinion takes home the trophy this time. As for lunch we did their sandwich/wrap and a salad combo, which as far as I am concerned is the best deal I've ever seen, Panera eat your heart out. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with a side caesar salad, and my girlfriend got the fig & brie sandwich, with a side peach and avocado salad. The buffalo wrap was nice and light with grilled chicken and a buffalo sauce that seemed almost more like a vinaigrette and the caesar was about as classic as it gets. The fig and brie was an unexpected plus for me and eats almost like a caprese sandwich, while the peach and avocado salad was super fresh, fruit in salad doesn't quite do it for me personally, so we split the trophy for our lunches. My only "major" downside is that the food is served on wooden paddles, I personally like a plate, but that is more of me just being a nit-picker more than anything else. Parking is pretty ample with spots both in the front and the back of the attached lot, but be careful when you're pulling up the first time, you're bound to miss it, I know I almost did!

Right off of West Main Street, you'll come across Brownstones coffee. I would recommend getting on their waitlist 30 minutes before going, especially on Sundays. The start of my food journey included their famous strawberry stuffed French toast. Did that make your mouth water? Cause it sure did to me. 2 loafs of French toast, beautifully glazed with their house strawberry syrup, add some fresh strawberries and whipped cream and you have yourself a delicious experience. For my mains I got the Poached egg avocado toast. Mmm mmm mmm I was in heaven. The beautiful cracked egg meets a healthy amount of avocado, my oh my I did not want to leave anything behind so I had to finish all of it! My last choice was the Avocado BLT Benedict without the pork bacon. I substituted with their turkey bacon which was a better pair! 20/20 just try again ! Everything was prepared to perfection and I'll you this, this is why I'll be coming back often. I loved the ambiance, the crowd, the excitement!! Everything was beautiful.

I cannot rave enough about this establishment ...The food is amazing, always so fresh and made-to-order! The sourdough bread is so incredibly crusty and delicious, coming from my favorite Portuguese place in Farmingville. My husband said the French onion soup was the best he's ever had....Not to overlook the ambience, which is so welcoming and relaxing. This truly adds a nice touch to the overall dining experience. Stace and her daughter Katherine add so much love and life to this beautiful restaurant. We celebrated my sister's milestone birthday there last September in a cozy private room upstairs. It was beyond spectacular from beginning to end. We continue to return to Sunflower Cafe and Bakery quite often, and always have such a pleasant and warm experience! They also offer a wonderful weekend brunch menu on Sunday's with truly creative and delicious entrées. I believe they are approaching their 3 year anniversary in November, and it's not surprising that they are able to thrive and grow in such a tough economic environment. Run, don't walk to this INCREDIBLE restaurant. It's always such an amazing time for us both. Desserts are also so scrumptious as well, with the option to take home treats from the small bakery area if desired! Thanks to the entire staff for always treating us like family...Cannot wait to return very soon.
