Dr Benham has been taking care of my family for over 10 years. We always feel like going to a friend not a Dr for all of our eye care.

In fact, yesterday when I brought my son in, the doctor went so far and beyond answering all my son's questions and educating my son about his eyes. It was like a mini-eye anatomy 101 class. I really appreciate when doctors speak directly to my son and treat him like a person. He is 12 and always has questions - he loves to learn through asking and seeing. Well, Dr. Steimann didn't disappoint. What an amazing doctor - just like his father. What a stellar family and business owners. This is the only place we will ever get our eyes examed going forward. I used to work as a front desk person for a Costco optometrist while in college, so I have always leaned toward going there. But, never again! (And, no offense to Costco, but this is a completely different kind of experience and level of care). Office staff is also very friendly!

As an aging patient dealing with far-sightedness, astigmatism, and reading challenges, I expected the usual routine: standard tests, a push toward bifocals (which I did not want), and a generic LASIK discussion. Instead, I met Dr. Steimann. From the start, he was kind, respectful, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. His approach is both comprehensive and cutting-edge. He took the time to truly understand my concerns and presented thoughtful, innovative solutions tailored specifically to my needs. I left the office with something I didn't walk in with--dignity, clarity, and genuine excitement about my vision. Yorba Linda Vision Center is now my trusted and safe place for all my eye care needs.

Beautiful and modern office; experienced, knowledgeable, and caring doctors; all of the best equipment; and very friendly staff. I have a beloved pair of MODO Eyewear glasses that I wear all the time, and when it came time to get new specs, I wanted the exact same frame. I looked around where I live (Indiana) and could not find my frame anywhere. So I reached out to Spectacle Optometry in Orange County, because I saw on their website that they carry or can order MODO frames. Spectacle came through! I was able to order my exact frame, in the exact color, directly from them. I gave them my prescription, and they asked me via email a few questions about lens preferences. This is another area where I wanted something very specific (surprise, surprise), and Spectacle was able to dial in my lenses to my exact specifications. When you wear glasses all the time like me, I feel that it's important to love your glasses. I absolutely love mine! Spectacle Optometry was wonderful to work with, especially considering that I couldn't visit them in person because I live more than 1,800 miles away. The customer service was fantastic, even from afar.

The gal that answered the phone was incredibly nice and welcoming and advised the doctor would need to perform an eye exam first before discussing dry eye issues. This seemed reasonable so I went ahead and make the appointment. As part of the new patient paperwork there was a form to agree or decline retinal photos for $39. I declined and signed this form. We went through the whole eye exam process and I mentioned a few times to the doctor that I can see better at different times of the day depending on the amount of gunk my eye has in them and that this exam may not be accurate. He kept powering through the exam while making comments about me being Asian and telling me a story about an Asian person he knows. He also said my son is prone to poor eyesight because he has two Asian parents. By the way my son is only half Asian. Super awkward. He then took decided to take pictures of my retina (apparently) and identified a mole in the back of my eye that he said would never amount to an issue but he would like to bill my insurance so he could keep an eye on it. Basically he took the retinal photos I declined earlier. Upon leaving they had me sign a form stating I agreed to them billing my insurance about the mole. I signed it thinking it may be good to keep an eye on it I guess? I did not realize it was the retinal photos until a day later it occurred to me. He tricked me into taking the photos. He also told me I should come back after I get my dry eye treated for another eye exam so it could be more accurate. He gave me a recommendation for a procedure for dry eye procedure called lipiflow but did not actually know how to treat the issue himself. This office tricked me into coming in and wasting not only my time but also using up my once a year eye exam through insurance for an exam he knew would not be accurate. Now if I want another exam I will have to pay out of pocket. Do NOT come here, they just want to bill your insurance and do not know how to treat dry eye.
