Excellent steakhouse located in Kaufman square. What a hidden gem!! We came to town to visit family and stumbled upon B&B as we needed a few quality grilled burgers to feed our senior Great Dane. We came back each day we were in town and made sure to order food for ourselves. The Short Rib Grilled Cheese on the Gluten Free Hoagie roll was delicious and not too heavy. Just the right balance between sweet and savory. The fried pickles were the best I have ever eaten. My husband has Celiac disease and he too was amazed at the gluten free quality and selections. We will definitely keep this place on our list every time we visit Kaufman. Well worth the drive from Mesquite! read more

We had a great experience today at the B&B in downtown Kaufman. It was great! Ribeye steak and the Lemon Dill Salmon were excellent choices. The steak, sides and dessert was really good but the wine prices are over priced. Meomi was $20 per glass and we're not published. Shame on us for not asking. A bottle was $60. If you do go for the food just be aware of wine prices. It's odd because beer is just $3.00! read more

We met friends last Saturday night for dinner (party of 4). We ordered two different steaks, a salad entree, and salmon. My husband's steak was overcooked and he sent it back. The cook came to our table and personally apologized, telling my husband that he would send a fresh baked potato out with the new steak (since the first potato was getting cold). The second steak was perfect and came with some truffle butter, which was amazing. The server never brought his side salad so he told her halfway through the meal to just forget it. She, too, apologized and offered to get him one. We would give them 5 stars but there still needs to be some fine tuning in the kitchen and service areas. We've eaten here several times if you haven't tried the Ancho Steak its great. If you like heat the smoked stuffed peppers are really good.

My husband and I came in for lunch at B&B. Overall we really enjoyed out meal! We stated with the sourdough loaf appetizer with whipped butter. My husband had the top sirloin and a baked potato. I had the French dip sandwich which came with frys. We also added a side garden salad. Everything was very high quality. The bread was so fresh and the ranch dressing was very good. I could tell that not only the dressing was made in house but I suspect the bread and whipped butter may also have been. I asked the server and she confirmed that the sourdough loaf and the sandwich bread was made in house as well as the butter. (The butter really did have an amazing flavor ) The top sirloin had a nice seasoning to it not overpowering, just enough to enhance the flavor of the beef. The only thing we did not care for was the blue cheese dressing. We wanted to try both the ranch and blue cheese and the blue cheese was a bit too tangy for my personal preference. I usually order a salad when I eat out so I am all about a good home made dressing. I will order the ranch next visit. The house salad was very fresh with lettuce, cucumber, red and yellow tomatoes, purple onion and croutons. (I will ask them to hold the onions next time if possible. ) We very much enjoy our lunch and look forward to having the opportunity to try the steak options off the dinner menu. read more

A small-town steakhouse that is a tad upscale. Good wine selection. Wife had the Jalapeno poppers as an appetizer and she loved them fresh and not as greasy as other locations. I had a shrimp cocktail. Shrimp were of good size and the seafood sauce was not over sweet. We both had the filet. Wife had hers medium well. I had mine medium rare. Cooked expertly to order. Good flavor. Side salad was fresh and crunchy. Good salad dressing selection. An interesting menu item we are going to try next time is their gluten free chicken fried steak! Wait staff was attentive and involved. Coffee and dessert Oreo Cheese Cake for my wife Cherry Cobbler for me was excellent. We floated out of there on a cloud, the kind of happy experience we seek when dining on that level. Expect to drop a couple of bills but leave in a good mood.
