My dad always gets the country fried steak. My husband gets some kind of steak because he loves them I can't remember what my mother-in-law gets and I get that filet mignon steak medium and I'm telling you it is delicious now here in Houston I just for kicks I went to the two steakhouses here on 45 north and south up in and ordered their different fiilets. They had no flavor (esp where you can get that fabulous flaming onion... I don't ditch anybody) no I couldn't believe in that little town had the best filet mignon I've had in years. We were here for the second time after missing out on this great food for a couple years. First of all let me say that the food is out of this world the steaks are grilled to perfection and seasoned just right as well. I had the 14 oz ribeye which was outstanding; tender and mouth-wateringly good - no sauce required and I say that being someone who ALWAYS puts A1 on my steaks. The wait staff was attentive, friendly and checked on us often, keeping drink glasses filled and asking if we needed anything without being intrusive. Anxious to go back and try some of the other menu items. But if you're looking for a great steak you can't beat Easley's. read more

There are few restaurants in Canton with the motivation to provide excellent service and food to the captive first weekend flea market visitors. This is no exception. We went back to this restaurant last weekend after a 3 year hiatus from the market hoping it would be better. It wasn't. While the food is generally good, the cleanliness inside is abominable. Food scraps were on the floor throughout the dining area and vacated tables left dirty. Meanwhile, staff visited and moseyed around turning a blind eye to the state of affairs Servers truly lacked interest in their job. Saturday night in small town Texas ! Smells like excellence from the parking lot. I arrived 730 pm it was moderately busy but not packed. The service to sit was almost immediate. The drink and salad came out pretty quick. I ordered the 18oz ribeye medium rare it was tasty. It was just a bit overcooked but really not bad. The reason for 4 star is I thought the waitress could have visited the table a few more times than she did. My drink ran low a few times. Our family ate here. We have two young girls, age 10 and 11. Two TVs were on. One with nudity and another one with a bedroom scene. We asked the runner if she could change the channel. Her response was "it's highly unlikely.". As far as the food goes.. almost everyone's order was screwed up. even basic modifications to an order was too much for this crew to handle. Love love love this place. We all ordered Ribeyes, baked potatoes, salad and fried okra- everyone enjoyed the food except ranch dressing is too watery. I also ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and fried okra to go and took it home to my dad. He loved the made from scratch chicken fried steak and said everything was great! If I could make 4 suggestions it would be: 1. Never run out of baked potatoes (we eat here a lot and the times we don't is because we call ahead now to make certain they aren't out at 7:30 pm) 2. Add baked sweet potatoes 3. Buy salt and pepper grinders for the tables. 4. Make the ranch dressing thicker it's a little too watery All and all this is a really good place to eat and I have never had anything that wasn't good here. Local favorite!! After driving 5+ hours and a stop at the trade days looking for a good meal. This little gem checked all the boxes, almost. The steaks were cooked to perfection. My wife said the green beans were the best ever. A couple with us had prick chops and chicken fried steak. Both were very pleased with the flavor and portions. We had the strawberry cake, very moist and great flavor. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is they don't offer alcoholic beverages. A glass of wine or bourbon would have maxed this experience out. read more

We've been eating at Easley's since we moved near Canton two years ago. It was initially our favorite restaurant in the area. Sadly, things have declined there. The food is not as good as it once was. They extended their dining room last year and replaced all of their chairs in the process. The chairs are narrow and extremely uncomfortable. The side rails cut into your thighs. Our server told us everyone complains about them, but there is no plan to replace them. If you are trying to organize a large group, forget trying to talk to anyone on your cell phone, the restaurant is in a dead zone. A guest WiFi network would help this issue, but the owners apparently don't find it necessary. They have WiFi, but it is locked for employee use only. My back locked up on me during our last visit, because of their awful seating, so we won't be back. Very disappointed. read more

Had the pleasure of meeting some family members at this restaurant a couple of days ago. It's very clean, nice atmosphere & the food was good. It was kinda pricey, but my husband & I both had steak. Steak is expensive everywhere these days. My husband had the large rib eye & I had the small sirloin. Both steaks were tender & flavorful, the baked potatoes were fluffy & didn't taste like they were left over from lunch like some places we've been to lately. If you come here expecting an upscale steak house, you will be "easly" disappointed. Sad! I wish the market in Canton could support something like Four Winds down the road, which is not great but at least is good and delivers a much classier experience. Easly is like a Ponderosa / Bonanza, with paper napkins and bottled Ranch feel. A better choice might be The Bunker. P.S. If I could give this restaurant a 0 that would be way too generous. They raised their prices, way smaller portions, food is not good, our waitress Emilie was rude and argumentative. Order was wrong, we told her, she argued, very inattentive. Place is loud and uncomfortable. We eat at Easley's quite often because the food is consistently good and so is the service. We ate there again last night. They had new menus (we heard a server say yesterday was the first day for them) and we all know what new menus mean - higher prices. They had raised the prices on everything and I know inflation is real. I noticed they had raised their prices 8+ percent on most items. I felt that was a lot but perhaps it is just me. The salads were smaller and my pork chops had alot of fat on them which was a first and disappointing. read more

I didn't eat here for almost two years because I got food poisoning back in early 2018 after eating at ECC. I'm not saying it was their food that caused it, I have no way of knowing, but it happened after eating here so I just wasn't in the mood. I finally decided to go back a couple of weeks ago. I don't understand a steakhouse that runs out of baked potatoes. The last time I came back in '18, they were "out of baked potatoes." This time, on a Friday night at about 6:30 local time they were out of baked potatoes again. A steakhouse being out of baked potatoes is like a seafood place being out of slaw. It's not acceptable. Potatoes are cheap...buy more and make more! I had a New York Strip which was OK, but nothing to write home about. I got mashed potatoes instead and they tasted instant to me. The roll was cold and the salad dressing was runny and tasteless--I have no doubt it was watered down to make it go farther. As usual there was no dessert left except the one nobody wanted. I think they have about one pie or one cake available each night so the first 8 customers who want it get it. This is just not a steakhouse. The locals love it because they haven't had better. I'd read the previous reviews so I expected the restaurant location to be in what appears as an old gas station/7-11 type building. That's fine. They did a good job on the conversion. I ordered the rib eye and it was cooked to perfection, however they were out of baked potatoes so I ordered the mashed potatoes instead. Considering that a baked potato is usually a generous size, I was very disappointed in the size of the mashed potato portion that was its replacement. The mashed potatoes came in a small 5 oz cup. So, my date asked if they wouldn't mind bringing another similar size serving since the mashed potatoes were relatively none compared to what an actual potato serving would be. The answer was immediately "no, you'll have to pay for any more." The issue I have with that response is a) the replacement portion of mashed was no where near an adequate serving size on its own or as a substitute. B) I'm never opposed to paying for anything I order, but don't skimp and not provide a substitute of equal value to what I'm already paying for. C) As a waitress, the answer should never be a flat out no - rather a simple, L"Let me see what I can do for you." would have been a better approach. Finally, my 4 star rating probably should be more like a 3 star, especially considering that the staff began stacking dining chairs preparing to close WHILE we were still eating. And, NO dessert was even offered. It appeared they were too anxious to close and wanted us to hurry thru the meal. In all, the saving race was how nicely they prepared the steak. read more

Came here for a steak during the tornado that hit Canton TX this past April. We got there just as the storm was killing the power. The waitress was great, she dealt with my rowdy birthday crew very well. We were soaking wet and tired from being at Trade Days for the past two days. The food was great. My steak was cooked perfect. I prefer my steak well done (most people don't but hey this is America and I can have my steak anyway I want) and the chef did an awesome job keeping it tender and cooked through.
