Top-notch service. A year ago, technician Rob worked with me to identify the best value water softener and heater after our softener blew and clogged our pipes (and our heater was on its last leg). He didn't oversell us and was straightforward on options both then and in the future. No issues since. Then, B&D proactively contacted me to remind me of our FREE plumbing inspection which came with the maintenance plan, which was due to expire in a month. Today, another technician, Russell arrived on time (early in fact) for the inspection, was very pleasant and great with our 3 young kids, especially the little ones who followed him around asking numerous questions! He explained a number of things about our systems and general plumbing situations along with possible solutions. No pressure selling, just informative. Both Rob and Russell were a pleasure to work with and I recommend B&D to anyone who mentions plumbing needs. B&D installed a water softener, whole house carbon filter, and RO system for my kitchen. They then did a free inspection of my plumbing 1 year later as part of my purchase. In short, these guys know what they're talking about and do a quality job with installation and inspection. As an extra bonus, both technicians that I worked with on separate occasions were extremely personable...the kind of guys that you trust to be in your house and could easily have a beer with. Plus I have found B&D truly makes you feel like family. I got a delivery of home cooked cookies after my purchase as a thank you. The most recent technician, Barron, even did some caulking in the bathroom for me free of charge as part of the plumbing inspection. Saved me a trip to the hardware store! We had them give a an estimate to remove the tub/shower combo and put a new tub in. B&D was referred by the tiler we had hired to do the tiling of the surround and floor. The estimate was fair and they explained what they would be doing. WE worked with Reese for this project. He was easy and pleasant to work with and did good work. They were able to start the job just after we got the new tub we had ordered. We had to change the date as the tub was delayed and they were easy to work with on this too. I called them about a gas line modification for my BBQ on Tuesday morning and they showed up in St. Louis Park Tuesday afternoon. Then they returned with the required supplies to do the job Wednesday morning at 8 am! Mickey was fantastic at getting me scheduled and her follow up was great. She even called today to see if I was satisfied with the work delivered. Drew and Todd did the inspection, devised a creative solution and did the work less than 24 hours later. So today was the second time in less then a month I had to use them... We were very happy with the repairs to our furnace. They were able to come within a day and the trip charge was reasonable. Some of these other reviews don't take into consideration the level of insurance, reliability, and expertise of this company. This is called overhead. No one is going to come fix your furnace for $75. This isn't 1980. Call an underinsured scab contractor and then see how "cheap" your fix is! Or be happy that your job was done properly by a knowledgeable journeyman. read more

The technician, Noah, was very friendly and took the time to properly evaluate our issues, ensuring that the correct repair was done at a minimal cost. Very happy with the prompt service, they were able to come within a couple days and could have come earlier had I needed it. I know many people who work for B&D and they have always treated their employees like family. I would trust them with any problem in my home, and would know it's taken care of the right way. They always give multiple options to solve the problem before they do any work and I like that about their process.
