I called Commers mid December 2016 for a quote to replace my old softener. I tried to haggle, they…read morewouldn't, just gave me a set price. Refreshing. Next I called some competitors. They were about the same price, some were a bit cheaper but seemed pushy and too eager to upsell (too many questions, building a sales pitch, get me in their lead database, etc.). I called Commers back and they came out the next day. At my request, the installer re-plumbed my kitchen cold water line to no longer bypass the softener. No charge, impressive. He was punctual, fast, helpful, and cleaned his worksite when done. I was very impressed. The next day I noticed a plastic-y, semi metallic, bitter after taste in the water. I flushed all the lines and tasted multiple taps, all bad. Had my kids and friends try too, same opinion. I called Commers, they set a service call right away and suggested I regenerate the system because maybe the new resin beads were the culprit. So I did and it seemed to help a little. The tech showed up on time, found nothing wrong, added sanitizer to the brine tank. We both noticed the brine tank had a strong plastic off gassing smell, normal for new items, so I decided to leave it open for a few days. He suggested I flush the system a few more times as this seemed to help. I asked for more salt to compensate for the extra regenerations, he threw in a bag no charge. Before he left he notice I tripped over the drain spout and cracked the mount so he replaced it no charge. Overall great experience, great people, great company. My only suggestion is that they tell folks who use soft water for drinking to flush the system multiple times to get rid of that factory fresh "new car" taste.

Love my softener and drinking water system. Had it installed for a couple years now and still have…read morehad no issues. Every technician that has been to my house has been respectful, answered all my questions and did a fantastic job for checking over my equipment and testing water quality. The salt sale is also great and the quality of salt they offer is actually more pure than most store bought salt so it is a bit pricier but worth it to me. Would recommend them for water treatment needs!

So, my kitchen faucet decided to go berserk and I seemed to exacerbate the problem trying to "fix"…read moreit. Well, I searched and got a quote from a few companies. I'd booked with a different company, who texted at the last minute that they weren't going to be there on time. Not getting a new time, I reached out again to those who had responded. Metro had originally stated that they could come out on Friday. I didn't want to wait that long, so I got on their list to see if they'd make it out on Thursday. I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. This was a quick, inexpensive repair with very friendly service. I've already given their name to a friend who's having plumbing issues at his home. Thanks Metro! I know who to call when the need arises again.

I got an estimate for plumbing work to be done on a house I was considering buying. The company…read moregave me a 4-hour window when they could come and they went to the house outside of that time frame. It took them two more days to get the estimate to me and it did not arrive when they said it would. When they got it to it to me, it was too late and they did not give me the estimate in the way that I asked for it. Communicate with the company was not acceptable, I could not get ahold of the person I needed to talk to, they would not let me email with them.

We bought an 85-year-old house and that means one thing - galvanized pipes. Otherwise known as…read moreswiss cheese, aka, going to leak and burst whenever I feel like it, aka, go ahead you cheapo and roll the dice and not replace me. I know a plumber back east and he told get rid of the "galvi" ASAP. Um, ok. So I called a few plumbers. Some were really cheap, like do the math and you wonder it takes X days and Y material, how do you stay in business? Another big shop in town was very expensive and seemed like they were adding little things here and there to the estimate. Erickson's guy, Mike, was very nice and was thorough and was clear on not needing things that the other high-priced shop proposed. He explained the residential codes to me and why I did not need certain things. He did preface that this was not going to be cheap. He walked through all the things that needed to be done and how long it took and I realized that this was going to take several days of someone working all day and knocking out walls and ceilings. This was a big project. Their estimate was expensive, but still about 15% lower than one of the other big guys in town. But, I got a good feeling about them. So I gave Erickson the work. They came in an installed pex and ripped out all the galvanized across 3 floors of my house. They did an excellent job and would not hesitate having them back in the future.

Unfortunately I have to write a negative review of Erickson Plumbing. We called about not getting…read morehot water, only lukewarm water, and the first plumber that came out said it was not the water heater and proceeded to change a cartridge in our master shower and charged us $800 for it, which is astronomical for changing a cartridge. He also broke the handle of the shower, reversed the hot and cold directions, and did not tell us it broke. The problem persisted and we continued to have lukewarm water. I called the company and they sent another guy out and he said that our handle was reversed from hot to cold and maybe I had just been using the wrong direction for hot water. Readers, I am not an idiot and know very well what direction is hot and cold in my own shower and what changed with the plumber. He didn't know what the problem was either. I called Erickson and they asked if they could make it right. I made it clear that I will not pay another dime and I expected money back if it ended up being an issue that would have cost me less than $800. They verbally agreed over the phone. They agreed they had misidentified the issue and it was on them to fix it. Erickson sent out a THIRD plumber and he looked at our water heater, said it was a pipe that needed cleaned out, cleaned it out and et voila, we had hot water so it was an easy fix. Afterwards I called to settle with them and see what they could refund me since it did end up being an easy fix and not worth a whopping $800. They refused to refund any of the $800 saying they had spent a lot of time on the issue and going back on their word and original mea culpa that it was their issue and pledge to make it right with me. It should absolutely not be on my dime if they couldn't figure out the problem until the third try and they also absolutely took me for a ride charging me $800 to begin with. I worked with them on good faith to fix the problem expecting them to make it right with me in the end since they were at fault for misidentifying the issue, not fixing it, charging me $800 for not fixing it, and breaking my handle at that. They would not budge and would not give one penny back, which is frankly horrible business. Be prepared to be taken for a ride if you work with them and pay way more than expected and gamble at even getting your problem solved, then lied to afterwards. Hire at your own peril.
