I got quotes from a handful of different HVAC options and ultimately landed with Wilson HVAC for a competitive price for amount of work I needed done and professional-looking website. The guys who came out were great -- likable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The work took a couple days longer than expected, but they did a fantastic job. My only complaint with Ken Wilson is his poor and unreliable communication. He's impossible to reach. Leading up to the project, during and after, I was (and still am) unable to reach him by phone; the number listed at his website is either disconnected or goes straight to voice message. Sometimes he would call me back, sometimes he wouldn't. Not once could I reach Ken by phone. All documented communication like quotes and bills were by email. The guys who did the work never communicated what time they'd be arriving each day or whether the work had been completed; we'd just wait to see if they showed up the next morning. It's been three months since all the work was completed, and I've still not received the rebates I was due for both gas and electricity, nor can I get ahold of Ken to confirm he submitted them. I still have a remaining balance to pay off; I can't reach him nor has he followed up requesting the final amount. Should I ever have an emergency or need follow-up work done, I'm not sure if or when I'll be able to reach Ken or anyone else with Wilson HVAC. Ken's obviously got great reviews from others, and I'd gladly give him a positive 5-star review on merit of the work done; but be wary trying to communicate with or reach him in a timely or professional manner.

Yesterday my heater decided to not operate and would not ignite the burner. Kyle called me after I left a service request yesterday came over diagnose the issue and coordinated to get a new burner valve and replaced the valve. I 100% do not recommend Dave or his company to anyone…read more Dave came out to our house to service our AC via a home warranty contract we had. He claimed our unit was not serviceable and that it MUST be replaced because the refrigerant/coolant was leaking (I'm not an HVAC person so not sure which term is preferred). Unfortunately Dave doesn't do well with technology and couldn't submit the proper paperwork to the warranty company electronically. Instead he took the $100 and never finished filing the paperwork or completing the job. Thankfully, after waiting over a month of no AC and Dave's incompetence, my neighbor asked his HVAC company to inspect our AC unit out of courtesy (mid summer in 100+ degree heat) and they found that there was NO leak at all and the only issue was a bad capacitor. It took less than $20 and less than 10 minutes for them to replace the bad capacitor!!! It's been running PERFECT for the last 2+ months. I watched Dave the entire time and he NEVER CHECKED the capacitor. He took 2 seconds looked at the line and CLAIMED we had a leak that was irreparable. My family spent over a month without AC because Dave wanted to replace our unit for $4500. I guess making money is more important to Dave than helping people in his community, of which he claims to support so much.
