Somewhere, someone doing something on our house must have taken the raingutters off, then hung them back haphazardly. Whenever it rained, sizeable reservoirs of water would collect & sit in the raingutters. So I started looking for someone to come & realign them (and put in an additional downspout)... and found that most companies won't touch such jobs. I mean, I get it: fixing a mistake is time-consuming & harder than putting something in newly. BUT. I needed this done! THEN, I found B&D (sound of triumphant trumpets)!!! Mr.Silverthorn & crew showed up on time, spent a good amount of time to get the job done right, then rode off into the sunset. (That last bit is not poetic license - they were done around 4, so it really was around sunset.) Until we get some rain, I can't tell how well everything works, but so far, my interaction with this company is thumbs-up! read more

I desperately needed rain gutters after my home flooded during a big rainstorm and more storms were in the forecast. I literally called every seamless rain gutter company in San Diego and the ones that would call me back (very few) were all booked out several months. Gordon called me back promptly and came out immediately to give me a very reasonable estimate. A week later & I had beautiful rain gutters installed! There was one small issue with the placement of a downspout - one quick call to Gordon and he was back out in a few days to correct it! One son came out to give us a bid, another son and an uncle came out to install the gutters, and Dave (the Dad) came out to look over the job as they were finishing up. What a great family business! Dave came and gave me an estimate and with 40 years in the business, he was reasonable. Then the installers in the family came and installed it and my gutters look stunning. I was more than pleased at the performance and final look. These are solid and professional in appearance and the flat white option matched the wood trim seamlessly, no pun intended. I highly recommend you replace your rain gutters right now folks. Repaint the wood trim underneath first so they have a clean flat surface to work with. It looks great. I also recoated my roof beforehand - so the new raingutters look like they were born there. Property value certainly increased the minute they finished the job, which only took two hours. A friend referred me to this father/son business saying, "these are the best guys if you ever need your gutters replaced!". Well, it just so happens I did so I hired them to come out and replace my old gutters that were leaking, hanging askew, and had things growing in them. What I really liked was that once the old gutters were off and they looked at the tile overhang, they realized that the smaller gutter size might not come out far enough to capture all the water coming off the roof. Indeed, I'd had some waterfalls in the past with the old gutter size. Dave felt bad about giving me this news because the larger size bumped up the original estimate and because they didn't have the equipment with them that day for the larger size. He said the smaller size **might** work, it was my decision. I opted for doing the job right. It meant they basically lost the better part of a day's work but it was the right thing to do for me, the homeowner. We've had enough rain this year for me to finally see the gutters in action so that I can review this business. I can say the gutters not only look perfect, but they function beautifully. I'm grateful that the owner of this business cared about doing the job right and it was truly a pleasure doing business with them. Solid family run business. Dave came out right away , in the rain, to give me a quote which was very reasonable. They were able to match the paint of the gutters to two different colors of paint on different parts of my house. That was a pleasant surprise as I thought I would have to install all white gutters then match and paint them myself, saved me an unwanted project. The installation was fast and very well done. The gutters are seamless and look like they were always there, not to mention efficient in keeping water away from the areas they were installed.
